Awsome service and great food none the less. The bistro pizza are a great choice for something cleaner than the pizza slices everywhere else. Burgers sliders are great and the large burgers too. Shares a kitchen with Hammerheads, but slightly different menu selections.
Visiting from Charlotte NC and came across this brewery. Nice little brewery on the oc boardwalk. Super nice staff and quality beer. The double ipa and jalapeño pale were both good beers. Also had the Kong at the Beach mixed drink! Excellent! Cool surf vibe and great music playing on the system. Recommended!
Great small brewery with a good selection of beer. Knowledgeable staff. They don't just have beer. They have a selection of mixed drinks too.
Backshore has three great things going for it- the beer, the location, and the music.
When I was there in October, the sun was shining, jam bands were coming through the speakers, and the beer was flowing.
They are located right on the boards, with a direct view of the sand and ocean. Can't get better than that. Lots of outdoor tables for people watching and sun soaking.
My wife isn't a beer fan but they had several mixed drink options to keep her happy.
Definitely hit this place on a nice day, especially in the off-season.
Great brewery on the boardwalk. 6 beers on tap, most of the flights were served on a skateboard which I thought was really cool. Tables were surfboard, and overall really cool theme and decoration. The beers were all great and the food was good too. Staff were super nice and knowledgeable. Limited seating and mostly outside. Would definitely recommend!
Awesome service, great location, good prices. Came in for a few drinks with friends after a long journey across route 50. I had the Boardwalk Shandy and the Porch Crawler Shine. I was feeling good and will most certainly come back.
