My husband and I went to Lago Su Bella for the first time last night for our 9 year “dating” anniversary. And WOW! Did it exceed our expectations. The starter bread was great! I had the Caprese salad for an appetizer and my husband had the Minestrone soup - they were both AMAZING! I had the table side pasta for my entree and he had the pesto pasta which again were both SO good. We also shared a meatball which was just as delicious. We were given a cannoli for our anniversary and then also ordered the Chocolate Mousse Dome for dessert to take home and they were both outstanding. The cocktails were great as well. Victoria, our server, was very attentive, kind and so welcoming! The whole experience was awesome and we will definitely be back!

Great local food and upscale atmosphere on the lake. The wife and I shared calamari, and ravioli and both were cooked perfectly. The tenderloin was tender and we had the halibut topped with crab. The wine menu is extensive and the entrees are delicious. Looking forward to going back.

My husband and I took my mother out for dinner here while she was in town. I ordered the lamb lollipops, which were amazing. My husband got the lasagna which was just OK. Same with the short ribs my mom had. Drinks were excellent and the atmosphere was great. Definitely will be back, but likely planning on more of a drinking/social atmosphere and less for food.

Our family loves this place. Great service and every dish we’ve ordered the last three times we’ve gone has been excellent, mussels, truffle lobster pasta, salmon, scallops, mushroom ravioli have all been great. The servers are always incredibly nice even though we have three young kids, and always make us feel welcome which is a pleasant surprise for a nice restaurant like this. Highly recommend.

Want to be treated like family? This place is for you. Amazing food, service, and ambience. I’ve been frequenting this restaurant for a couple years and came from a background of high end food service in my younger years. I’m a harsh critic but haven’t been able to find much of anything wrong with lago. If you get to know some of the staff it’s obvious as to why this is the best restaurant in town. Cocos? Who? The core staff has hundreds of years in combined food service and it shows. Ingredients are all top notch and the finished food quality reflects the painstaking time and effort they put into sourcing the top ingredients. The owners Mike and Joe truly care and you’ll find out because they will often stop by your table side to ask how you’re doing. There are only a handful of restaurants in south eastern Wisconsin of this caliber. I left the Oconomowoc area years ago but still make the hour drive to return frequently. So worth it.

What a awesome experience! Susie was fantastic! The food was Amazingggg! We had the Lobster Truffle, calamari, ravioli, scallops and sea bass with spinach and mashed potatoes! Yummmy!!! Everything was exceptional, from being seated exactly at your appointment time, to Susie being awesome and knowledgeable to what seemed to be the Owner coming over to check on us!!! We will definitely be back to explore the menu!

We were here for Valentine’s Day. The restaurant was packed. But we were seated on time by the window. Service was prompt and attentive in spite of the busyness. We enjoyed everything we had. Pictured is the frutti di mare. The seafood was quite nice…a big step up from standard seafood options in the Midwest. I think we got out of there with a respectable bill. If you eat here and want to enjoy yourself, I’d anticipate $100/person. We had a bottle of wine, appetizers, entrees and dessert. This isn’t an Applebee’s…quality food and a nice experience is going to cost more. We had two minor “complaints.” The first is that the tables by the window can get chilly in the winter (shocking!). My girlfriend gets cold easily. The view was terrific, but plan to dress a little warmer if you’re that person that gets cold. I personally was fine with the temperature. The second issue is the limited parking in front. Definitely not a big deal. Be a gentlemen and drop your date off at the front, then parking across the street.
