Same great food as always! Right now, they are drive-thru only. The line moves fast, and the food is the perfect temperature. I always get the Leo's Special. This is plenty of food for at least 2 people. Ribs, brisket, sausage, smoked bologna, beans, and potato salad.
The wife and I were reviewing an episode of Triple D and decided to take a trip from Fort Smith, AR (Razorbacks) to OU territory. Absolutely excellent (more than I can say about my hogs)! It's so cool to be retired and able to get out and experience the love that went into preparing their BBQ! We'll be back!
They now have a drive thru! The food was amazing..hot & fresh! We ordered the Leo's special .. unfortunately they were out of brisket but were happy to substitute with extra chicken & bologna and even threw us an extra slice of cake! We appreciate the service and the wonderful food. We'll definitely be back..
The food is amazing. I got the ribs sandwich and the smell had my stomach growling on the drive home. The meat was fall off the bone and melt in your mouth tender. I got the mild sauce as well and it was amazing. My only disappointment was buying only one slice of cake. It’s so good, even if you feel full get a slice for later!
I consider this place the 2nd best BBQ in the USA. I did a 100+ restaurant BBQ tour of the most touted places in the US and I loved this place. The only place I like better was Rendezvous Barbecue Memphis Tennessee.
I hit all the big names in Texas, KC, St.Louis, OK, AR, MO, GA, AL and more!
I am a professional chef myself, and a professional food judge. This place is a solid 10/10 for me.
I love this place. I took my family here three years after visiting it the last time I passed through OKC. All trip we talked about how great the bbq was here. The meat has such deep flavor. The sides are delicious and the ribs are incredible. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. This time I had the pleasure of meeting Leo's son. He was so friendly and truly cares what people have to say about the food served in his restaurant. This place is a must. I would add OKC to every road trip just so I could eat here again.
Amazing little barbecue restaurant. my wife and I enjoyed a late lunch here after a trip to the zoo. This was in fact our first time eating BBQ in Oklahoma. It was wayy better than just OK 🤓 it was amazing! Charles stopped by to say hello and make sure we were well taken care of! I love it! We will be back!
I ordered the rib dinner with two sides, the greens and macaroni salad. I also got the hot bbq sauce and a hot link with a slice of cake.
The ribs were tender, not falling off the bone but super tender which I like. The taste of the ribs were off a bit, like not really seasoned so I ate it with the sauce which was good.
The hot link was bomb with the toasted bread. The greens, well, they're not mine, they had the stems in them but it taste a WHOLE lot better than the POLK House greens. NO ONE SHOULD EAT AT THE POLK HOUSE! FOOD JUST NASTY, NO TASTE! Anyway, I digress. I can tell you this, anytime I go back down there I will be ordering Leo’s hot link with the toasted bread! It’s the simple things for me.
The macaroni salad, I could have done without. The service was 5 star! I would go back.
The cake was good, I ate that while driving, I couldn't put it down.
Ordered rack if ribs, cake, beans and potatoe salad
Everything was decent, ribs are pretty good, not to salty and tender, with sauce they are very good!!
He mentioned bringing back the pink lemonade soon!!
Was amazing! And reasonably priced, got the Leo's special feed three of us. Smoked bologna was so good reminded me of when I was young fried bologna sandwich with cheese and mustard. Definitely going back.
Absolute must stop in Oklahoma City! I have had ribs in 13 states and these just might be the best! smoked to perfection, and falls right off the bone. The sauce is absolute killer too! If i lived closer I would be at risk to gain a lot of weight.....
Delicious as always, this is an Oklahoma staple! Be ready you will smell like BBQ the rest of the day. Pit style BBQ with a great crust on the ribs. Don't skip out on the strawberry banana cake.
Great tasting food! Employees very funny and thankful. Just a heads up its inside the homeland and you pay at the grocery checkout line.
These are probably the best BBQ you can get in OKC. Do yourself a favor and get Leo’s platter because it comes with a little bit of everything. Ribs, sausage, brisket, fries and macaroni salad. Also it comes with their strawberry cake. Don’t let the exterior for you!
Always love having their BBQ. I've been coming here since I was 10 with my grandfather. This is the go-to spot in okc for good BBQ! Getcha some!
All I can say is outstanding. The ribs were fall off the bone tasty. A good amount of food for the price with a dessert. Drinks are served in a big cup so you're not dying of thirst waiting on a refill. Family-owned with great customer service. Also very little wait time which is always nice during lunch time. I'll be a returning customer.
Its hard to find a good old fashioned BBQ joint in OKC, with many BBQ joints opting for more hip and modern styling. Thank goodness for Leo's though, they have kept it real and deliver a great classic BBQ experience. Its just a little hole in the wall, but the good kind!!
From the outside Leos looks like an abandoned gas station with a lot of cars outside. Inside though its very clean and has a really cool vintage rustic look. You get the impression your eating somewhere that's been around for a minute or two.
Their BBQ is on point. The flavor is great and they know how to do BBQ right. Their Hot Links in particular really impressed me. It was my favorite part of the whole meal. They have several different sauce choices to choose from whether you like mild for the flavor or heat instead.
For desert they have this amazing pineapple strawberry banana cake with frosting that is amazing! Served hot it melts in your mouth. Extremely sweet but not overpowering.
The staff is great too, and the owner was there cooking the meals. He made it a point to take time to go around and greet the customers, and make sure they were happy. Plus he treated us all with a slice of free cake. This was pretty surprising considering it was late in the afternoon and only 5 people or so were eating.
My only criticism would be that they are a bit pricey. On smaller dinners the price is reasonable, but if you wanna go for the whole experience and try everything, your gonna spending $20 at least. In the end it was worth it though.
Definitely one of those, don't judge a book by its cover, places. The food is absolutely amazing. We had the Leo's Special which was a bit of everything. So glad we stopped here!
Driving cross country and our first stop when we got to Oklahoma is Leo’s. The BBQ and the “cake” is great but not just the food, the staff are awesome, they made us feel at home..
I definitely recommend stopping by at Leo’s if you’re in town or just passing by.
