This ice cream is creamy and just perfectly sweet. It isn't artisan like the over rated Glacé, but it is delicious and the place always smells like fresh baked waffle cones. The price is average ( $3.86 for 2 scoops in a waffle cone, but again, unlike the over rated Glacé,these are good sized scoops and you leave satisfied every time. They have a bunch of really fumble dos of ice cream Flavors but their basic sweet cream is so perfect to me. It tastes like perfectly sweetened heavy whipping cream in a frozen creamy treat. Their pistachio almond is fantastic and any of their cheesecake Flavors. (Chocolate, strawberry and blueberry.) I could go on but you need to drive to Olathe or Lawrence to try it yourself. You will not regret it!
Last note:the service is always exceptional in Lawrence but you will find the girls at the Olathe store a little dry. They are never rude but fail to engage the customer that makes you feel welcome. The ice cream is still great enough to warrant a 5 rating in my opinion.
One best ice cream places in the country. The flavors are delicious and innovative and always changing. If the ever have the carrot cake definitely get that. If you don't get it on a fresh made waffle cone you are doing it wrong. Best waffle cone anywhere.
Heavenly ice cream. We were in Olathe for three days and ate at Sylas and Maddy's three times! Creative high quality ice cream.

OMG! This is the "heroin" of ice cream! The dark chocolate is unbelievably delicious! You denizens of Olathe don't realize the gold mine of ice cream you have in your own little town. Please patronize this family owned business and you will be hooked! You're welcome!

It's good but it's no Murray's. The texture of the ice cream is perfect but the flavor isn't full bodied. Plenty of pecans in my Butter Pecan but it tasted like Vanilla ice cream.

Good Ice Cream, but.... My friend and I stopped here for an ice cream because of it's high ratings. The flavor selection was phenominal, and I chose the margarita sherbet, and he had the black raspberry. My margarita sherbet was good, but it was soft and melted quickly. My friend said his selection could not have been any better and tasted like it was just picked.
The shop is small, but lively, and stashed in the back corner of a strip mall.
I have only one issue with the place. For eveything they do to make it special and handmake their products, I was horrified to see styrofoam bowls and cups. In this day and age when we know that styrofoam does not biodegrade, it really is sad to see it still in use, especially at a place like this.
If I ever make it there again I will call ahead, ask their cup/bowl size, and simply bring my own with me If they don't honor it, that is their bad, as even Starbucks now will fill your reuseable coffee cup/mug. And on the bright side, you can bring a lid with your dish!
LOVE IT. There is always a large selection of flavors. Fruity, chocolately, candy, cookies...many are original. A single is two large scoops. You can get each scoop as a different flavor. Love them in a waffle cone. Prices are a little high like any ice cream place, but it's definately delicious. Love going here as a special treat.
The great wall of icecream. I walked in to this place and was greeted with a giant wall of flavors. There are so many flavors and combinations to choose from I felt overwhelmed, I stood there for a good 3 mins before just order some chocolate and peanut butter ice cream. I would suggest researching the menu before you go. I think the ice cream is overpriced, the service and staff are great for a bunch of teenagers. I would recommend this place.
40 flavors on the spot!. Endless candy bar mixes! My favorite was the oatmeal raisin cookie! I wish they had the coconut cream pie when we were there but that's okay. The servings are large and build up a thirst! Sample welcome and friendly staff. Homemade waffle cones!

They have unique flavors and a fun atmosphere. If you don't see the flavor you want, just ask them. We got a christmas flavor "the Grinch" in january, and loved it. Always great! I don't go any where else!
YUMMY!!!. So many flavors it's hard to choose! Personal favs are Key Lime Pie and Princess Raspberry (created for me by my sweet Todd). Scoops are generous and if you can't decide you can do a "split single" and get two flavors (basically a scoop of each).

Best Ice Cream in Kansas. Well the best I've had in Kansas, anyway. SOOO rich and creamy, and incredible blends. My favorite - Kansas Twister. (Don't tell my wife, my doctor, or my dietitian you saw my review here - I'm supposed to be on a low carb diet.)
