Excellent food and service. One of the best gin and tonics I've ever had. House made tonic. The pasta dishes have house made pasta and are scrumptious. If they have the Tres Leches offered for dessert, get it. Not overly drenched and a very nice version of a great dessert. Fia was an excellent server.
Mercury is a must visit during the year but right now they have their holiday decorations up and you feel like you're immersed into The Christmas Story! The decor is great and so festive. They also have a special holiday menu. I had the vodka, rosemary cocktail and it was not only delicious but beautiful.
We also had the beer cheese fondue (so delicious)! The serving team was very attentive and our glasses never got empty.
Always a chill time at Mercury! They have unique cocktails with a huge variety of flavors- everyone will find something to love. There are zero-proof and low-proof cocktails as well! The food is amazing too, I could eat the beer cheese fondue all day long and I love the mac and cheese! There are plenty of couches, regular tables, and bar stools.
Great food, drinks, service and atmosphere! I had the cubano with chips and it was great. Most of our party got cocktails which they enjoyed. My only complaint was the lack of beer on tap, everything had to be ordered in a can.
This is a very fun place. A funky atmosphere where the decor changes several times a year. We visited when they were celebrating Henry Doorly Zoo. Craft cocktails around the Zoo theme. We had the Zebra and the Butterfly. Both excellent. Won’t bother to describe, since they’ll be gone soon. I’m sure they will be replaced with something just as good. Deviled eggs and guacamole were fresh, delicious. Crab Pasta and Cubano Sandwich were excellent. One of those places you need to visit multiple times a year to catch the latest theme. Try the drink carousel if you are brave. Enjoy a drink made from a private bourbon barrel. Like the bourbon? They will sell you a bottle.
I love walking to Mercury for a nice dinner on a Monday, to date night drinks on a Friday. Have always been impressed by the intensity of flavors in the drinks, but the real winner is the food. That crab cake had the perfect combination of sweet and savory with some tartness that accented beautifully. Highly recommend.
This has been a great hang-out spot with people while I've been in town for work. We've gone here most of the times we've gone out. The prices are fair, and the cocktail menu is fun and tasty.
The cocktail menu goes through different themes. I don't know how often they refresh and change the theme, but the zoo theme had something for everyone. The "Fruit Bat" drink was basically a mango margarita, and quickly became my go-to.
Plenty of seating that is both secluded, and large enough for a small group of people. It also was mercifully never too loud to hear the people I was with.
The staff were always fast and attentive. They all were super friendly and personable. Made the experience great.
However, going off-menu can be dangerous. I ordered a classic Manhattan, and it was among the worst I've ever had. A couple other people I was with also expressed disappointment when ordering something not on the themed menu. I would say to try and stick to the themed menu, as they batch-mix those drinks and the consistency has been better.
Quirky and fun bar with a clever drink menu that changes seasonally. We enjoyed the Christmas glasses, Santa boot shots and bartenders that were pleasant and friendly. Definitely going to return again!
My coworker took me here after our shift, and it was worth all my time and money!! Ronnie was our server and was AMAZING!! Bright and outstanding personality! Love and adore her!! I got the Hummas Plate, and seriously, I want a gallon to take some!! My coworker got the smoked chicken ravioli. Let me tell you... GET IT!! The Christmas theme menu of drinks was amazing! They pack quiet the punch, but the Hot Cider drink made me wanna be in my pajamas by a fire!! I'll definitely be coming back!
We’ll, this was a fun experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the lounge feel and the entertaining way to read the drink menus. They are CDs with labels from real bands and the names of their albums but the list of songs are replaced with the ingredients of the drink. Super creative idea. I had Black Flag “Damaged” the others in the group had Joy Division “Unknown Pleasures”, Meat Loaf “Bat Out of Hell” and The Notorious BIG “Ready to Die” we did not eat anything as we had just come from dinner but they do have a food menu. I highly recommend this lounge.
Rally neat bar, friendly staff, change their menu regularly. Started celebrating Christmas first week of November! I had their roasted mushroom Alfredo and it was top notch!
We came here for drinks and got food. Drinks were amazing! Old fashion was one point but the food was unbelievable! Fresh made pasta, gnocchi! I would 100% recommend this place to everyone!
Great place to get drinks. The bar tenders are top notch at this place and can make just about anything you ask of them. The food is pretty good considering this place mainly specializes in drinks. They have a fantastic hand burger and chicken sandwich, which are my go to items at this place. Excellent service and outstanding staff.
I'd recommend checking this place out as it has a cool Vibe, and at least for Christmas they went all out.
The must order item is the Mac and Cheese with pulled pork. Don't do it if it's just the Mac and Cheese... It's kinda average by itself, but add the pork, and you dont even need a lot, it becomes this magical dish that gets a 5 star from me.
The carrot and goat cheese ravioli gets a solid 4 stars from me.
The charcuterie was a 4 star. It tasted fine. The presentation on the plate wasn't as pretty as it might have been if presented on a board. It was pretty standard with the exception being the goat cheese. The server did not explain what was on the board individually when it was served to us.
The Brussel sprouts gets a 4 star from me. The flavor was really good but I didn't get a roasted feel from them with how they were drenched in the sauce. They could have been boiled with how the texture was.
Service was very good. She answered all of our questions. If she didn't know she would find it out.
I do not drink alcohol so I asked for some Mocktails. The server told me they had pureed fruit which sounded like it would make a fantastic base. I had requested a not too sweet or tart drink. The first one was a bit tart. The second drink seemed to be a ginger beer like soda. The last drink was a 4.25 star which we enjoyed the most as it was the more fruit forward drink.
All in all an enjoyable evening.
Parking is typical downtown parking. I parked at a meter.
A very unique and cool place for drinks. Their drink menu is listed on cds in a cute retro CD case. The servers/bartenders were very friendly and helpful. They were busy, because it was a Saturday night downtown, but we were able to get a table right away.
Great atmosphere. The most interesting drink menu I've ever seen. I'll leave the surprise for you. Great staff. Definitely stop in if you're looking for a fun experience outside of the bar scene.
This is an excellent restaurant!! Such unique and delicious in house creations! They have a stellar drink menu and the menu presentation is super fun! They have the drinks on the cd face named after bands. The first visit I have The Notorious Big, very crisp sweet and refreshing, and the next night I had the System of a Down, warm and smooth. Both were excellent and perfectly balanced for a delicious cocktail. The carrot ravioli was exquisite and presented beautifully. The pesto sauce that came with it was superb! The next night I had their cheeseburger. It was so tasty and melt in your mouth delicious I don't think I can order a cheeseburger anywhere else. Do not pass this place up for excellent unique meal and cocktail! That atmosphere is very laid back and staff friendly. This is now going to be a frequent spot for downtown dining. Don't pass this place up!
