The service was polite and created a great environment. I had gotten take out, but I still loved the staff that I saw. I got the potato soup, and it was absolutely fantastic. Along with the Chicken salad croissant. (Tastes amazing, but I add extra pepper just because im a pepper nut). The homemade potato chips are crispy and delicious. 10/10 would highly recommend. The sandwich, chips, and cup of soup was roughly $20. I don’t mind paying this amount for food that fills me up, tastes amazing, and I know is being made with love and passion.
We ordered takeout for a birthday celebration and it was divine! Chicken picatta, risotto, broccoli, green salad, and a veg platter with yummy dip. The food was delicious! They labeled everything with clear reheating info and provided plenty of sauce. It was enjoyed by all and we would absolutely order it again!

Tastes fresh from the garden. Very open and airy atmosphere. Décor isn’t my cup of tea (quilts, antiques) but it’s still very clean and light and airy.
Our server, Olivia, was wonderful. The food was delicious and fresh. Everything met or exceeded our expectations. This is a very clean and friendly environment with sniling staff and fresh, healthy food! Absolutely our new favorite in the area.
The food is overpriced. The portions are small. My enchilada was barely warm even though the server said the plate is "very hot"!! Very noisy at lunch
Made the mistake of getting scones on the way out...not worth $3.75 each. Not going back.
Has amazing baked potato soup, probably the best around. Chicken salad crossiant is to die for nothing fancy just good ole roterssiee Chicken with some celery special mayo. .homemade "chips" with veggie dip is awesome!
In September, I treated two girlfriends to brunch at Market Basket. I ordered the Normandy Toast--and it changed my life! My friend Brook said it was the most delicious thing she had tasted all year!. Agreed! Simply amazing!
Stopped here after a long day at the zoo and fell in love. Cute atmosphere, quaint market feel, and the food is worth leaving a review for! Rather healthy or hearty their menu has many items which will satisfy your cravings. They accommodated all my allergens as well. If we lived anywhere near Omaha we would be regulars!
The food was really great but our waiter was horrible. I hope it was just an off day for him. I ordered a bowl of chili but was brought a cup and had to point that out to him. He made my hot chocolate and it was undrinkable due to too much chocolate. Not easy to do with hot chocolate!! He forgot part of my aunt's meal. We had to ask twice for hot sauce and butter. The first time I was there both the food and service were great. But in this review I knocked off a star for the truly bad service. I can recommend the chili though and my aunt really enjoyed her quiche :)
I totally love Market Basket. The food is always good and there is a great variety. Lots of fresh fruit and vegetables you don’t find other places. Fresh from the garden when seasonal. I’m a regular for breakfast, lunch or tea and I like that there are plenty of choices - some super basic - others more creative. I enjoy the wait staff - and owners. Locally owned. it’s a a lovely community of regulars and people who enjoy each other. Lots of not for profit work groups, people eating muffins while reading and family groups enjoying each other. It has character, quirks, personality, great food, community. So glad it’s part of our community!
Amazing simple food done well. I read all the negative reviews, critically I might add, and each one seems to stem from either not liking a $9 breakfast, added gratuity to large parties, or service during rush times. All of these issues are reasonable.
The restaurant is clean, the flavors are well balanced, the people are friendly when they have time to visit, and I wholly recommend it (I don't do that often.)
I'm so lucky to find this place. You are lucky to find my review. Forget the negative ones and go. Your tummy will thank you.
In my experience, the service was excellent. I ordered an egg white scramble. It was delicious, but a bit small for the price. I wasn't a fan of the atmosphere. It's not a very pretty or cozy place. Lots of hard surfaces.
The food is absolutely fabulous. Everything is better than you expected even when you've been there before. The pastry case at the front door clues you in that you should leave room for dessert or take something home. The surroundings are casual and comfortable. The service is outstanding.
