I thought this place was pretty good for the area. I had the pulled pork, onion rings and cornbread. The pork was very well balanced and flavorful. It wasn’t too salty, slightly citrusy but very savory and also a tad sweet. I really enjoyed it. The onion rings were very crunchy and not too salty. I am a fan of crunch, so I liked them a lot. Skip the cornbread though. I should’ve got the regular dinner roll. Probably would’ve paired well with the pulled pork. Overall, it was good, but nothing too crazy. Good place for a family dinner or if you want some American classics.

We were in town for an event at one of the local colleges and decided to check out Brooks House of BBQ. It was delicious! We had brisket, pulled pork, chicken and ribs. There are a number of side choices all of which were good! They also have a great system there. You order your food at the window then go have a seat at whatever table you like and the buzzer goes off when your food is ready. Similar to ordering at a Panera. My only complaint would be that I wish they had mashed potatoes instead of a baked potato for sides. I should also note that the BBQ sauce is sort of sweet and tangy. I really liked it, but some may not enjoy the sweetness of the sauce. You do get a good amount of food so we had no room left for dessert, but the dessert list looked good too. I would definitely recommend visiting this restaurant when in Oneonta.

Stopped in this afternoon on the way home from Albany. I called from the road and ordered some halves to go. Pulled in twenty minutes later and had a bag full of the good stuff. I hadn't been there in a long time. It's just a good as it ever was. I love that a place can do the same thing for decades. Great price for the halves, btw. An excellent value for your money.
