The hot dogs with a snap are back. I've been coming here for years when I was living in Orange. I always come back here for a visit. My go to are the chili cheese fries and chili cheese dog. I saw some new items on the menu I definitely will try them next time.
I recently visited and ordered the chili dog and the chili cheese fries. The chili dog was delicious! The hot dog had a nice snap and the chili was flavorful and tasted great with the mustard and onions. The chili cheese fries were also very good. The fries were crispy and the chili was gooey and delicious.
I would definitely recommend Pacific Coast Hot Dogs to anyone looking for a great hot dog in Orange County. The food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the service is friendly.
Here are some additional details about my experience:
* The atmosphere is casual and relaxed. There is no indoor seating, but there is plenty of outdoor seating in a small, shaded patio.
* The service was friendly and efficient. My order was ready in a few minutes.
* The prices are very reasonable. My chili dog and chili cheese fries cost about $10 ish total.
Overall, I had a great experience at Pacific Coast Hot Dogs. The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the service was friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great hot dog in Orange County.
Here are some tips for your visit:
* Try the chili dog! It's a classic for a reason.
* Get the chili cheese fries if you're looking for something a little more substantial.
* Come during the week if you want to avoid the crowds.
* Be prepared to wait in line, especially on weekends or during lunch/dinner time.
Hot dogs anyone??
Highlights of the menu:
1. Chicago dog
2. Chili cheese dog
3. New York dog
4. Oreo milkshake
Nothing can beat a good hot dog after a long day at work. Just want to have a quick yet yummy dinner and this is the best choice for today. Their hot dogs are just out of the oven with some crunchy pickles (I don’t love all kinds of pickles but they have the type I like) and the sauces! So good!!
Also, this is a small store with outdoor seatings. With the sun still up, I feel so fun to eat differently today.
The Tijuana Dog had amazing flavors and was the winner today. The hot dog on the Tijuana Dog was cooked to the perfect amount of crispiness which is hard to find. The bacon, sauteed onions, and charred jalapenos created the perfect flavor combination. I'm looking forward to trying the Chicago Dog, which everyone ordered while I was dining in.
A hidden gem... Don't miss this amazing spot. Highly recommend the dogs. It was early Thursday morning I walked into the office like any other day. I didn't know what to expect for lunch but I knew I wanted something just right. A few friends recommended PCH Pacific coast hot dogs and I was immediately intrigued. Come to find out this place has a rich and vibrant history along with interesting cultural references over time. it's not much to look at but they make it more than make up for it with the quality of their food and the service they provide to their customers. The favorite menu items include the PCH chili dog the standard hot dog corn dog sauerkraut dog chili cheese dog fire dog Chicago dog New York dog Tijuana dog along with chili cheese fries cola soda and assorted soft serve ice cream treats. This menu does not change by and has remain largely the same for years and years. coworkers and I work about 10 minutes away and we gladly make the drive once or twice a month to come and enjoy some of the best hot dogs in Orange County. and you are looking for a special treat that won't break the bank and you like high-quality hot dogs with a variety of toppings come check out Pacific coast hot dogs.
Love it, love it, love it! There is nothing bad I can say about PCH - my only wish is for more locations as it's almost an hour away. One day I'll have to try other variations, but for me it's always a chili cheese dog with a pickle spear. Every bite is delicious.
Yummy hotdogs. Fries were thin and crispy. My husband is picky when it comes to dogs and he loved them. I had the Tijuana dog wo jalapeños. Hubs had one with BBQ sauce.
Awesome dogs! Great shakes! So great, I got the shakes!
Really good hotdogs of all flavors 😋 try the Tijuana dog, Chicago dog with a bag of fries, they do old fashion shakes and malts. Good value for the buck, fresh food and good portions outdoor shaded seating, plenty of parking.

There aren't many places in South OC or even SoCal where you can get a decent hot dog done right. They do it good. The dogs aren't huge, but sometimes simple is just perfect. Get the chili fries!!
I've been coming to PCH dog for over 10 years. This is my comfort zone, my happy place. They have always been consistently outstanding in their food. The staff is always so nice and very quick to get your order out. I've never been disappointed here. Definitely get the chili cheese fries!!
Had the regular hotdog and the Chicago dog! Great portion size and the ingredients are fresh!
Chilli fries are pretty good too!
An excellent little hot dog shop with a simple menu and great flavors. of Would recommend a classic Tijuana dog or their Chicago dog if you are into a lot of ingredients on your hot dogs. Prices per dog are $3-$4.50 depending on the complexity of the order. They also serve fries and shakes as well which are very tasty. Limited outdoor only seating and orders are made to order. Plenty of parking and doesn't tend to be very busy so most of the time you can just walk right up to the window. Wheelchair accessible, no public restrooms.
Ooooh man... The snappiest, juiciest, most delicious dog out there. Hands down. Every dog I've tried was my favorite. And they keep getting better... How do you do that? My deal is two snappy dogs (chili, chicago or the TJ) paired up with the chili cheese fries. ••Unbeatable•• Thank you!!!
Excellent chili cheese fries and Chicago dog!
This is by far the best hot dog place in Orange County. Kinda similar to pinks in L.A. I only get the chili dog. It’s so good that I will go miles out of my way to eat there. I live in south Orange County and wish they would open one up here but so far nothing close to this place has opened.

PCH hotdogs is a hidden gym in Orange County! From the moment that I arrived, I was intrigued by the restaurants environments in a good way. The service, especially from Lauren , was absolutely flawless. Everyone who works here is friendly and while my girlfriend and I enjoyed our lunch, there were customers coming nonstop. I highly recommend you come and try the food for yourself. You will not regret it! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Whenever we are in the area it's a must for us to stop by. I get a chili fry and a Chicago dog. They have alot of choices. Enjoy!

Top Dog for 25 years and still going strong.
Twenty-five years ago a new little hot dog place opened up on Chapman Ave. just West of Fred Kelly Stadium. A neat little hexagon front building with stools and some tables and grass area.
Back then it was cash only and there was no awning and no website. That which could be found here were fantastic hot dogs, hand made to order using only fresh ingredients and presented with genuine customer service. That was the passion of Scott Browning when he opened PCH and its still present today.
We have been enjoying those all beef Chicago Dogs and Ney York Dogs and the freshly made shakes, and all of it really, for the past 25 years.
I have memories of standing under the canvas awning while it was pouring rain, and seeing the present day rigid wrap around awning for the first time.
I was on a trip to the East Coast I recall and someone thinking I was a local asked me if I knew where they could get a good hotdog. I said "Sure, PCH on Chapman."
This is from a local who grew up here, is a hot dog lover and now a fellow SBO... 25 years of being the Dog On Best... speaks for itself.
So we highly recommend Pacific Coast Hot Dogs in the City of Orange, 3438 E. Chapman Ave.
