Great experience at this establishment within Universal Studios! Prepare for a 30-minute to an 1-hour wait, as you would probably expect waiting for an in-demand resort area restaurant. The ordering process was intuitive, as you utilize the Universal mobile app to order while you’re waiting in line. We had the vegan Shepherd’s pie, the mini cottage pie combination plate, Butter Beer potted cream dessert, and a cup of Butter Beer. Everything was delicious! I recommend the experience if you’re going to Universal Studios!

Loved the Leaky Cauldron on our last visit to Universal. I will say that if you’re getting fish and chips, get the kid’s sized portion. It’s more than enough food for half the price. After 10:30am you do mobile ordering off of the Universal app. At the Leaky Cauldron (and Three Broomsticks), you can get non-dairy frozen butterbeer, and it was amazing! The service was great, the food came out hot, fresh, and fast. The atmosphere was amazing as well. For dessert I highly recommend the apple pie, one of the best I’ve ever had. The apple pie can definitely feed up to 2-3 people so keep that in mind. Overall, highly recommend!

One of my favorite place to eat and enjoy the atmosphere! The food was super delicious and looking amazing as you can see in the pictures. I ate around 5 pm and it wasn’t busy at all. The best way is to order through the app to avoid waiting a lot.

Ordered mini pies combo, didn’t like that much Fisherman’s pie. For me it was watery and big chunks of salmon. But we looooved Cottage Pie, it was perfect texture and delicious. Nice experience overall, would def suggest to try go there :)

Very peaceful, dark well themed and amazing flavor. I purchased the fish and chips meal. The fish 🐟 had an amazing taste and the wedges did also. The air-conditioning felt amazing considering it was ove 90 degrees outside. I'm sure I will return again someday. Also I need to use the app next next to get a table faster lol.

Line up for a table, on the table there's a QR code to enter into the Universal app so that the staff bring your food directly to you. We tried the beef stew, chicken sandwich butterbeer potted cream and butterbeer ice cream. The beef stew (about a cup portion) was very hearty and came in a large bread bowl with a salad and half a tomato on the side. The chicken sandwich came with potato wedges (these were so crispy and tasty) on the side. The potted cream came in a cute glass bottle but it was too thick and sweet for my taste. The butterbeer ice cream had that butterscotch flavor without being too sweet. So I definitely got another butterbeer ice cream before I left the parks, I only wish they sold this outside of the parks too! Next time, maybe I'll get here early enough to try their breakfast menu.

Date of visit: June 2023 If you're craving British pub food whilst touring Universal Studios, this is the place for you. Lines were still super long at 1 pm but that gave us enough time to download the app to order our food. After a 15-minute wait, we finally got our seats. Thankfully the food arrived speedily. Two thumbs up for the following dishes: scotch egg, fish & chips, beef, lamb, & guinness stew, and bangers and mash. Tasty, hearty, and comforting! No thumbs for the soft drinks, as they arrived practically lukewarm. Perhaps their soda and ice machines were in need of a "reparo" or two. If you're thinking of ordering toad-in-the-hole, just order the bangers and mash and thank me later. Do not even think of leaving until you've had the sticky toffee pudding!

Atmosphere was a cool and a great treat for Harry Potter fans. When it's busy it feels a bit chaotic but the staff is there and helps guide you through everything. You can also order ahead, and yes they serve butter beer. We had breakfast there but there weren't really any gluten free options. Almost everything came with some sort of bread, you can remove the bread but if you have celiac maybe be careful or avoid the leaky cauldron.

First of all, ambience, decor, and architecture is 11/10 stars. It exceeded my expectations!! The only thing lacking were the magical chairs that put themselves up!! For the food, my boyfriend and I ordered the Cottage Pie, Shepherd Pasty Pie, and Sticky Toffee Pudding. Warning: when you order from the app, they will bring everything out at the same time so we had to tackle the dessert first because it had ice cream! Cottage Pie was tasty according to my boyfriend. No complaints here. I had the Shepherd Pasty Pie and it was nice but personally, I felt like the spices/seasoning of the filling was very strong. I’m not sure what it is but the taste/smell was overwhelming that I got tired of it. It was kind of a struggle to finish due to the smell/taste. The mustard sauce and ketchup help toned it down. The pastry itself was buttery and flaky and the fries that came with were good fries! The toffee pudding was delicious!! First time trying it so I can’t say much about whether or not it was prepared properly! It was tasty nonetheless! I would definitely come back here again for the environment and also to try the other vegan option they have. Hopefully, they will add more veg dishes in the future!

We read that the Leaky Cauldron was one of the better restaurants at Universal, so my expectations were going in were higher. Maybe that is why I was a bit disappointed with the food. I got the pie and salad and it wasn’t that great. My family, and many people at the surrounding tables got fish and chips and they all seemed to be pretty happy with their choice. Maybe I should’ve gotten that too. We also got a pumpkin juice which was really sweet - I didn’t like it either and should’ve gotten a tried and true butter beer. Overall, it wasn’t the greatest food but it wasn’t the worst either. The lineup was a bit confusing though because I couldn’t set up payment on my app.

Entering the Leaky Cauldron you are taken into another layer of the Harry Potter themed experience. The layout of the restaurant including the design and high-vaulted wooden beamed infrastructure gives a unique feeling as if you are in the Harry Potter movies yourself. Surprisingly, the food is actually good. As a family of 2, we ordered the fish and chips and the bangers mash and it was packed with flavor and cooked well. It was delivered hot and in a timely manner after we finally sat down. There is always a line so be prepared for that. We got in line around 11:30 am for lunch and waited approximately 35 minutes to be seated. Helpful tip: you have to order your food and pay through the Universal app. It is recommended to do that prior to sitting down. When you do sit down, physically lay your phone on the table barcode for it to pick up. Another helpful tip: they do give free cups of water that is always available by the registers when you enter into the Leaky Cauldron. Highly recommend the butter beer which can be found in multiple areas throughout the Wizarding World of Harry Potter including the Leaky Cauldron. It's such a delightful and a refreshing drink that cannot be matched anywhere else. Due to the extreme overcrowding in Harry Potter world that detracted from our overall experience, the Leaky Cauldron came in to help save the day and brought a long-lasting memory with it.
