A Disney must! Orange bird! Pineapple dole whip is a Disney staple and located near Aladdin’s magic ride but this- this is something everyone needs to try. The twist to the regular dole whip is amazing- the lava float is delicious and refreshing. Also, the pot stickers here are also so good!
Sunshine Tree Terrace is a great spot to grab a cool treat on a hot day in Magic Kingdom Park. They offer a variety of offerings including Soft serve, orange and strawberry dole whip, and floats including traditional root beer or coke floats and some special celebration float options. I’d recommend using mobile ordering so you don’t have to wait in line and instead you can schedule and pick up at your goodies at your convenience.
Do you like the original Dole whip? Are you looking for something a bit more interesting with a kick, the come here and get the I Lava You float. This will knock your socks off! It is a Dole Whip with orange soda, strawberry syrup, red passion fruit syrup and pop rocks. It is tangy, it is sweet and it is oh so good. The syrup and soda mixture alone is something I would sip on but the soft serve with pop rocks with a bit of the soda, so tasty! This is the perfect solution to the heat and the crowds. Perfect for solo or to share!
Orange Dole Whip
I Lava You Float - This was our favorite float. The popping candy really makes it a unique experience.
Dole whip rankings
Pineapple - great flavor and creamy smooth texture
Lemon - Pineapple Lanai - tart and refreshing
Orange - Sunshine Treat - excellent both as a creamsicle and on it’s own. Get the lava burst thing. I lava float.
Raspberry - Aloha Isle - great flavor and creamy
Lime - Pineapple Lanai - great flavor but sherbet texture. Little icy. UPDATE - last day was creamier and delicious. So, could be hit or miss.
Lime - Storybook Treats - great flavor and creamy taste. Could be soft serve and not dole whip.
Pineapple with Coconut - Simba’s sunset - Tamu Tamu - best coconut flavor mostly because of the syrup. This was light and refreshing, but ours was very melty.
Cream Cheese soft serve - Storybook treats - This was really weird. It intrigues you more than anything else but it isn’t very good. Better when mixed with the coke but again, not great.
Strawberry - Refreshment Port - too much like ice cream, did not taste like dole whip.
Coconut MK - tastes like vanilla with a hint of coconut at the end.
Sunshine Tree Terrace, in Magic Kingdom's Adventure Land. Super popular ice cream place to hit up fruit flavour soft serves and floats.
I finally got to try their new item, THE RED REVENGE! Creamy strawberry and vanilla swirl swirled on top of refreshing Fanta strawberry soda, also has a cute touch of a chocolate pirate hat too. Love how it's like a dessert + drink all in 1 since it's the same price as the soft serve in a cup. My friend's favourite is the requesting for the choco-strawberry swirl with the float.
The most popular item on their menu is definitely the orange Cream. It tastes like a super creamy orangy milk mixing with the vanilla in a swirl. It's not too sweet, well balanced flavour, refreshing and definitely melts fast in the boiling heat. I personally loved the orange cream more than the other citrus flavour that's more like a sorbet. You can also get the orange cream on a float with orange soda too!
Red Revenge - $5.99
Orange Cream - $5.99
People will tell you that you need to get Pineapple Dole Whip while you’re at Disney but I would argue that the Dole Orange Vanilla Float at the Sunshine Tree Terrace is better. I wouldn’t have even found out about it if I had gone in search or their special Aladdin doughnut they were selling. I ‘wish’ I would have just saved the money from the doughnut and spent it on another float. Don’t worry, I still got a traditional Dole Whip too.
If you like dole whip...you must get it from here. They turn them into floats at this location and you can choose orange cream, strawberry or you can even go traditional. I decided to go with orange cream float and it was delicious! The ladies at the register were nice and welcoming. I don't think I could go with traditional ever again after having this float. And if you are on the dining plan, you can use a snack credit.
The ice cream you can get here is quite good. There's not a lot of variety but if you want variety, there are other places within Disney.
Got the I Lava You Float, best and most favorite treat at Disneyworld! It's a strawberry and orange dole whip with pop rocks on top. I hadn't had pop rocks since I was little and boy were they fun. Little crackles all in my mouth. This was such a fun and surprisingly good snack!
Delicious orange and vanilla swirled together with orange soda. Very refreshing on a hot Florida day. ☀️About $6. No dedicated seating but you can find some seating nearby. Located near the start of Adventureland. Not to be confused with Aloha Isle which serves Dole Whip.
