Have you ever had great sushi? Traditional Japanese cuisine?
Stop into Sushi Tomi and experience real Japanese cuisine. Cold beer, spicy tuna rolls, and so much more.
The tuna tataki had just a little fat on the tuna, made this oh so much better. Check our pictures of what fresh sushi should really look like!
Very clean, bidet in men’s room, and awesome service.
I literally don’t know what else to say, we had an awesome meal and will be stopping in again!
The food was really quite good. It was very authentic and brought me back to Asia. After trying only the Katsu Curry, I want to go back and try a number of their other offerings.
Very flavorful, friendly staff. A small restaurant that fills up surprisingly quickly. It was just two of us, so sitting at the bar worked, but it would have been tough to bring the family.
Amazing sushi from a Japanese family owned small restaurant. None of that chain restos, this is the real deal. Had tempura udon noodle soup and ordered the $75 boat. Took me back to my time in Japan. They had the chu-toro/o-toro which was some of the best sashimi I’ve ever had. Highly recommend if you’re around this area, at Rosen Creek resort or just looking for authentic Japanese sushi/sashimi place.
Best nigiri and Sashimi Sushi in Orlando.
Just to preface.I recently moved to Orlando from Charlotte NC about a year ago. Until I've dine in Sushi Tomi, I genuinely believed that Orlando's affordable sushi scene was underwhelming and mainly focused on overpriced Sushi rolls with too much rice and not enough ingredients. Also I thought that quality Sushi was only reserved for people who are willing to pay top dollar.
But after I dined at Sushi tomi yesterday I'm glad I was proven wrong. I had the Sushi boat for two, chicken katsu, katsudon, and some freshwater eel and uni.
Every bite was amazing and made me remember what great nigiri and sashimi was supposed to taste like. All of it is fresh and traditionally made. I will be coming back anytime I have a japanese food craving and look forward to trying everything on the menu.
Amazing sushi! Probably the best sushi in Orlando. Restautant with so many Japanese customers ( it reminded me the restaurants in flushing NY with local authentic customers ).
Top quality gosh. Tempura to die for. Amazing wines to be paired with these creations .
95 points . Solid
Very standard Japanese restaurant. Only about 10 choices for special rolls from what I could see. Teriyaki steak was very good. Curry was a bit on the salty side.
Service was great! Love the kids bowls and cups with lids.
This was fantastic. Fish was fresh and delicious. Service was prompt and perfect. Was able to have a nice lunch break. Will definitely be going back to try some of their other dishes.
The food, was amazing, everything I thought I'd be and more. Very vibrant, incredibly flavorful, and you can feel the effort. The sushi was delicious, everything was bright and fresh, no off smells or questionable looking items. We had otoro, sweet shrimp, eel and I forgot two of the others. Everything incredibly tasty.
I had yakitori to start and my friend Karage chicken. Everything was literally from the kitchen to the table, it was hot, and very tasty. The Karage wasn't oily or felt heavy, like some I'd had in the past. It was just enough. These are like chicken thigh pieces.
The yakitori was super soft and flavorful, could probably just ate a plate of these lol. They are like mini skewer's.
My main plate was the Oyakodon, kinda of like a chicken omelet with green onions lol. Best way I could describe it. It is served of rice. But it was really good and I really liked it. Would definitely get it again.
My friend got Chicken katsu curry, it's as it sounds but the Curry is super smooth, not spicy but lots of flavor and depth to it. The katsu is prepared very well and the breading does not fall off like I've seen in the past. When combined it is something so good.
I finished the tempura banana and matcha ice cream. Such a nice cap to dinner.
The servers are very attentive and always repeat what you ordered, and always ensure you have what you need. They also have Sapporo on draft, which is very nice.
We are looking for some good Japanese food in Orlando and found this little restaurant based on google reviews. The location is close to Universal Studios as compared to other attractions. We are from Hawaii so very spoiled on the price and quality of good Japanese food there. The good here is above average based on Orlando standards though. The tonkasut probably has a bit more sauce than it should. The sushi rice has a lack of rice vinegar and the rice quality could be improved. The fish is of standard quality, not having fresh food available in Orlando is common issue here. Tempera is great. Service is very fast, food came out of kitchen quickly which we really appreciate and workers are efficient. We would come back again.
Best sushi , gyoza and tempura in Orlando. Authenticity, welcoming, friendly people and relaxing atmosphere.
We found this place while on vacation in Orlando. The food was excellent and a true Japanese experience. We liked it so much that we visited two nights in a row so we all could try different dishes. The menu has so much variety that we all ordered very different dishes both nights. The sushi was great. The apps were great. The entrees were great as well. It was the little details like shredded cabbage and potato salad with the katsu dishes that made this an authentic experience for us. The service was super friendly and attentive as well. We would highly recommend this restaurant if you seek a real Japanese restaurant experience.
Quick & efficient service. I got the spicy tuna don, which was delicious but ended up being too spicy for me. My friend got a curry dish and said it was one of the better curries he has had in his life. Their chicken karaage was also pretty good. Older Japanese adults patronize this place, so perhaps the food is legit.
Always great service weather eating in or carrying out. They have been at this location for a long time. Everything is always fresh, staff friendly and professional. Great Japanese menu for lunch or dinner.
Excellent sushi and chicken katsu curry! Very nice servers! FYI - They will be closed starting tomorrow for 2 weeks.
Authentic, delicious, fairly priced. The owners couldn’t be any nicer. We ordered several dishes to eat family style and it was fantastic! Great place to practice your Japanese with the owners and other customers. 10/10 would recommend. We’ll be back!
What's oishii? Everything! Sushi Tomi is wonderful and a true gem of Orlando. Check out the specials on the board and ask the chefs what they recommend. Be brave and try something you haven't had before, because you never known when you will meet your new favorite meal.
Come sail away, Come sail away, Come sail away with Sushi! 🍣
My first visit to this cozy restaurant and the service was great. Friendly and attentive staff helping me keep the Beer 🍺 and Sake 🍶 flowing :)
Ordered the Sushi Sashimi Boat ⛵️combo (hence the Styx intro reference, lol) - Includes 16 slices of Sashimi, 12 pieces of Nigiri, a Tuna and a Cucumber Roll... what's there not to love? Everything was fresh and presented beautifully.
Definitely will dine in again, highly recommended!
