This is an excellent japanese style restaurant... the menu also offers dishes w a flare of italian french and american fusion ingredients
The sake list is very good with reasonable prices
Highly recommend it
The sushi, salad, soup and hibachi were all excellent- fresh, flavorful, and authentic. We are so so picky and discriminating when it comes to food, but Yamasan gets 5 stars on all counts The chef made our hibachi gluten free just for our order, and it was so delicious. The waitress was fantastic. The atmosphere was relaxing.
My wife and I have been to Yamasan twice. Both times our experience was superb. The menu is creative, the food presentation is excellent, everything is delicious and the service is fantastic! Can’t say enough good things about this gem!
I would give this place a 1 star because now I have to go to Orlando anytime I crave hibachi nothing else compares to their food. Food taste so fresh and is cooked perfectly. Definitely my new favorite place
The sushi was spectacular! Incredible combinations and interesting sauces. The presentations were beautiful and the service top notch. We will be back very soon!
This place is A1, loved the food, vibe and customer service. Nate was great!!
Been there 3 times so far. What a fantastic restaurant. The food was fantastic I have had sushi and the hibachi. It had awesome food quality. I highly recommend it

The food is excellent the owner is amazing and the presentation is impeccable. I enjoyed so many dishes last night. The uni shooter was a huge hit with everyone as were the squid tentacles. We will be returning.
Our server was prompt... the food was superior. My wife and I have never had a bad meal at Yamasan.
Great service. Incredibly fresh fish for the sushi! Highly recommend!
Great local place! Owners are local and open to suggestions! They are very humble and always around to check on me!! Great sushi and great happy hour! $4 sushi rolls!! Excellent sushi!!
I had dinner here for the first time last night with my date and everything was excellent. It was an impromptu visit and we arrived way too late but they were gracious enough to seat/serve us regardless. Waiter was very friendly, informative and personable. The chef came to our table with sake which was delicious and the perfect addition to our meal. I had the Rollercoaster sushi roll and it was the best roll I've had to date. Great atmosphere, beautiful food presentation, friendly and accommodating staff - everything you'd ever look for in an authentic Sushi restaurant. Definitely coming back soon! Also looking forward to the bottomless mimosas! :)
How can I even describe this place other than “heaven in the form of a sushi restaurant”?! Yamasan Sushi is insanely good! I hadn’t been here in a long time (no idea why), but I finally came back and am so happy I did. We visited for lunch and got a variety of different things from their menu: Walk on Mars roll, Roller Coaster roll, Capitan roll, Tornado roll, and even the Sirloin/Chicken Hibachi lunch special! All 4 rolls were phenomenal - highly unique, and if you’re someone like me who loves the more flavorful and inventive rolls (not the standard California or Philadelphia rolls), I definitely recommend these. I especially liked the Walk on Mars and Tornado rolls!! The Tornado roll was one of my favorite rolls I have ever had at any sushi restaurant EVER! And hey, if sushi isn’t your thing, the hibachi was really good as well. I definitely would get that again if I wasn’t craving sushi. But let’s be honest - when am I not craving sushi??
All in all, this is an awesome sushi restaurant - certainly one of the best in all of Orlando. If you haven’t visited yet, I HIGHLY recommend it. They even have a gluten-free menu! So yeah, check this place out. Great food, great service, great location, great everything!
EDIT: We’ve since come back and tried the Harmony, King Triton, Sea Breeze and Nella Fantasia rolls. All amazing, especially the Sea Breeze and Harmony rolls!! I would highly recommend trying those when you visit as well!
This restaurant is so special that it caused our family to fall in love with sushi and Asian cusine. We have never had a bad meal and we leave after each meal planning how soon we can come back.
Been here a couple times, the food is pretty good, and the service is ok as well, although I feel the prices are somewhat high I would have no issues going back and trying something else.
Best sushi I’ve had in a while. Everything from the appetizers to the ice fried ice cream was so delicate, yet flavorful. The staff is incredibly kind and the chef came out to say hello. You can tell everyone here takes pride in the work they do and food they make. All around a fantastic experienced without being pretentious.
A friend and I tried this place for the first time a week ago. It's such a cute sushi place in a quaint area off Mills. The service was great and so was the food. We got a couple of different appetizers and rolls, which we both enjoyed. We shared the fried cheesecake, which was also good. I saw some other yummy dishes I want to try the next time. Would go back again and would highly recommend it.
Delightful little sushi spot, that has high quality Sushi. The ambiance and decor inside is very inviting with a trendy vibe. You can choose to sit outside as well, which is situated under a canopy. Good authentic Japanese fare and drinks. Service was a little on the slower side but nothing unacceptable. The quality of the fish and taste was phenomenal. I highly recommend a visit.
This place deserves more attention! The sushi was absolutely terrific. They offered omakase but I opted to try their other sushi first before diving into that pricey experience. Once I saw they had a sushi but with Uni I had to go for that. Amazing overall. The size of the sashimi slices and the flavor of the rice were perfect. I'd definitely come back again and recommend it to anyone that wants delicious sushi!
I'm rating this 5 stars specifically because of the Seaweed Salad, Peach Sake and the Hawaiian Roll. I order 4 different rolls to try and the Hawaiian is mouthwatering. I was so upset I didn't order all of them the same 😆
We sat outside and there was alot of construction going on a few blocks but it overall very cozy. I would definitely recommend and return the next time I'm in the area.
The atmosphere at this restaurant made me feel comfortable and relaxed. It wasn’t crowded and appeared clean. The waitress was very difficult to understand as she spoke very fast and kept her mask on her face which made it more difficult to understand her. She was very prompt in taking care of us. The Sami hit the spot, the gyozas weren’t greasy and the miso soup had a great flavor. My poke bowl was super fresh and my tuna was cut into perfect but size pieces. The food was very good!! Here are some photos #tryit
Great food , Great service and a great place to go with your significant other and friends. I definitely recommend to eat here it os worth it!!! 10/10
Delicious sushi and extremely courteous staff. I stepped out of my comfort zone and ordered a fish I hadn't had before. Did NOT care for it. When I told our waiter I didn't like it, I made it clear I wanted it taken away, but fully intended to pay for it. But they graciously removed it from the bill anyways. My wife loved the miso soup, so much that she had 3 bowls.
If you love high-quality sushi - that is the place!
They have amazing fresh seafood and that is the key!
We ordered appetizers, ramen, and 3 signature rolls - everything was so delicious!
If you never tried sea urchin - that is the place, sea urchin is so fresh here!
Service and staff are so friendly and care about our experience.
We will come back for sure!
We were here for a late lunch. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The service was great. People were kind and attentive. The food was spectacular. We had a mix of things including hibachi shrimp, sashimi, a bento box and the tempera fried ice cream. The ice cream was amazing and was unlike any fried ice cream I have ever had, as there is a thin layer of cake. Everyone in our party had a great time and was very satisfied. I will go back.
Pictures is the crunchy roll and crab Rangoon. Both delicious. The food here is consistently good! I order from here pretty regularly.
Only reason it’s 4 out of 5 is because the crab rangoons lack much of the crab, but it’s still very tasty.
One of the best sushi places in town. I also had the miso soup. It was very tasty. It also had something that looked like croutons floating on top, but it was not bread. I should have asked the server when I was there. I also had the mushroom salad. A variety of mushrooms sautéed in butter on top of a green salad served with a yuzu dressing. There dressing was served separately and had lots of oil so I decanted the oil into the empty miso soup bowl. The mushrooms were delicious.
First time trying out this cute little sushi spot. Customer service was great. We started with miso soup however it was lukewarm. It didn’t have tofu but it had some weird soggy sponge like item in it. Wasn’t really a fan. The sushi however was very tasty. We had a couple ichiban and kirin light beers. The same mojito I’ll definitely pass on next time. Lacked mint, lime and ice. Extremely watered down. Overal we had a great experience.
Very nice restaurant. Location, decor, and service were exceptional. They have a very broad menu, serving both sushi and ramen. The poke and ramen bowl were both pretty good
My only disappointment was the Chirashi bowl. Easily the most expensive Chirashi bowl I've ever ordered and also one of the smallest. For the price I thought I'd get soup and salad with it, but I didn't get either. The sushi cuts were good quality, didn't taste frozen. But the price just hit me too hard at $33.
Love this place. Very flavorful. Every roll was balanced well and interesting. You know how some places you have to add sauce or the roll just dosent hit right? Not here! Will definitely return.
