Everything our party had was great. I ordered the spicy fried chicken sandwich & didn't think it was spicy at all (I was expecting a little kick from the description in the menu). I really missed the grilled grouper sandwich that the previous owner had. We aren't locals & when we visit relatives, we always make it a point to stop. I hope the new owners bring back the grilled grouper because you can get catfish anywhere. My husband said he really liked the fish & chips. They were pretty busy & our server was very attentive.
The blackened grouper was the best I’ve ever had. Period. If you haven’t tried this place you need to. The patio is right on the water and they allow dogs (even have roast beef for them). Hands down amazing place
Went to the Waterfront Restaurant yesterday for brunch. It was fabulous. Our waitress was Alexa and she was fantastic. She knew the entire menu and was on point with terrific service. The food was the best I have had in a long time. We can't wait to go back.
This restaurant is worlds apart from its predecessor (Julie's). A complete re-model and a new menu have turned this waterfront gem into one of Orlandos hot spots. Their scratch kitchen never disappoints and now they are featuring veg friendly dishes such as a veggie burger and poke bowls. Their daily specials keep the menu interesting!
It was great! The food, I had the french dip with sauteed kale, others liked their meals, as well. The view of the lake was beautiful and our server Dena, was very attentive and knowleable of the menu.
It's the food. I've been obsessed with this chef's food for about five years since he's been cooking Downtown. I would literally sit at a bar downtown three nights a week just to eat his food by myself after work. Now they have a great atmosphere to enjoy my food with friends and family. Steak frites is one of my favorites. Hoping he brings back the grit cakes with asparagus and whatever sauce that was he had years ago. I have too many favorites to even start talking about them! Give it a try...
The staff is super friendly, beers are ice cold, the environment would make anyone not here super jealous. The food makes me want to stop drinking The ice cold beers and continue eating every item off the menu. The breeze coming off the lake is great enough to mask the smell of your one friend who didn’t wear deodorant that day. The umbrellas out back on the lake save you from the harmful sun-rays in between ice cold beers. The speakers outside are waterproof so even during a monsoon your ears will still be filled with glorious tunes, shall you choose to stand outside in the rain. There’s always people trying to do watersports on the lake out back that wipeout for your enjoyment. When it gets super busy, per usual, the owners roll their sleeves up and get in the kitchen and behind the bar to make sure nobody waits for an ice cold beverage and always do it with a smile. If you are having a bad day or good day I suggest you come to Waterfront because you will leave feeling like you won the lottery because this place won’t break your bank account
The brunch menu has plenty of options and was great. We especially loved the poutine and Bloody Mary’s!!!! I will definitely be back and would highly recommend to anyone.
Absolutely amazing food and atmosphere. Only suggestion is to provide an option for buffalo sauce for the chicken sandwich and wings. The spicy honey it comes with currently is to die for; however, buffalo sauce would be a nice alternative that many people would love.

First time visiting this place today, I use to pass by it everyday wondering what this place was and my family wanted to try it. So glad we did, the view is beautiful and the food is amazing. I’m going to be visiting often
They are constantly amazing me with their menu. NYE set menu was amazing had the steak and they ran out of steak knifes. Normally I wouldn’t be happy but the meat was cooked perfect and so tender we could cut it with our butter knife.
Recently had their brunch with a group for a birthday. Last min reservation was more than accommodated everything came out in a timely manner and was absolutely delicious.
My new favorite place! Blackened Catfish was amazing. A must visit... wait maybe I should just keep this place a secret.
I’m obsessed with this place. And the staff. And the food. And everything in between.
What a great place with an amazing view! It was beautiful out today, service was fantastic and the burger was amazing! We will be back
The Waterfront is the best type of local restaurant with great food, service, and ambiance. Either dine inside for a fun vibe with great music or enjoy your meal outside by the water. Both choices offer great views of the lake. Now let's talk food! The sweat tea was just right, and I highly recommend the Jennie mixed drink. It was light, crisp, and refreshing. They had just finished making some fresh claim chowder, so of course we had to try, and if we could have licked our plates clean, we for sure would have. Highly recommend the Cow Burger, juice, and perfectly cooked was absolutely delicious. It comes with a cheese encrusted bun, and I swapped the American cheese for white cheddar on the actual burger, which I highly recommend. As a side, we enjoyed perfectly cooked garlic parsley fries. When I say perfectly cooked, I mean PERFECTLY COOKED. Each fry was that perfect golden brown with just the right outer crisp and inner creaminess. If you are in the Orlando area and are looking for good food and a fun, laid-back atmosphere, The Waterfront is worth a visit. We were so full we didn't have room for dessert, BUT we did notice a cupcake bar that had a selection for scrumptious looking options, which we are planning to return and sample.
Love the Vybz, the music even the service. The food was not AMAZING, it was decent. The crab cakes was what I originally ordered and I must say it was not my favorite. As a substitute dish I got the waterfront burger and it was a much better taste for my palette. This place was a hidden gem for me so no bad complaints, even the service was outstanding😀.
Would dine here again.
THE REASONS ;_____________
(1) the service was among the best that I have ever had.
(2)The fried okra and accompanying dip were very good. Although a slight more dash of salt ( admittedly I do not use much normally ) would have sent it over the top.
(2) The Waterfront burger was done perfectly, medium rare to perfection.
The fries were good.
(3) The coleslaw that was requested to replaced the fries as a side to the fish and chips was the best food item order. It is definitely a keeper.
(4) even the unsweetened ice tea hit the spot.
( 5) The rear exterior ambiance was relaxing and enjoyable.
(6 ) the content of the background music set an appropriate mood.
SEVERAL APECTS THAT WOULD HAVE FURTHER ENHANCED THE DINING EXPERIENCE :_______________
(1) as mentioned above, a touch of salt on the otherwise cooked to perfection okra would have been excellent.
(2) if the fish ordered ( fish and chips ) had been arrived in individual pieces instead of one large solitary piece.
As the one large piece required a longer cooking time, resulting in the coating to be different in color and taste than what
is normal with fish and chips.
(3) if the draft beer had been colder.
For that reason, and after a couple of taste testers of several of the choices that were offered by the waitress, I chose to not order an alcoholic drink.
(4) if the list of nondraft beer choices had been a little more expansive.
I will be back to this somewhat rustic in appearance location.
This very likely in the company of several friends, to once again eat at The Waterfront.
The food wasn't amazing, but I don't think that's the point of this restaurant. This is a cool, relaxed, waterfront restaurant that fits old school Florida to a tee. This is the kind of place I can remember going to decades ago before the State got built up, and that capturing of a specific vibe of nostalgia is what makes this place great. Having never been here before, I instantly felt like I had been here a million times in the past.
I ordered some sliders for the table, and had a burger for myself. Again, the food was good, not great, but pretty damn good. I honestly have zero complaints.
The server was attentive, but not overly so, which is nice because I hadn't caught up with my friend who I was meeting with in about 7 years. Thanks to our server for allowing us to catch up and squat at the table for a little longer than we should've been there. It was noticed, and I did tip accordingly for that.
Overall, I'm glad I got to eat here.
Outstanding little restaurant and fabulous customer care by the servers and the manager. Delicious food and so hospitable. Will definitely return the next time my wife and I are in Orlando.
I love the place! I ordered Shrimp Tacos and it wasn't very good 4/5. I ordered 3 drinks and one was fatal. The service was excellent and the place is awesome.
The ahi tuna bowl and blackened shrimp were incredible! Casey was such a professional and kind server, she is outstanding with service! Live music was so fun, and the pina colado was also a huge win. Can't wait to come back!!
10/10 Recommend I’ve been wanting to stop by here to check in forever. They have great drink specials $5 margarita, great views, and great food… love this spot!! 👌🏾😊😋
Great spot! The food, staff and atmosphere is really awesome. Blackened Grouper Grits n Collard Greens was on point and was even better than it looked. Shout out to my server Casey! She was awesome and a great personality. The Waterfront is going on my list of places to go in Orlando when I'm here. 😎
My wife tried this place back in February while on a short vacation. We couldn’t wait to come back. We flew in Thursday night and went straight there for dinner. We both had the same thing as our last time. She raves about the Ahi nachos while I’m a huge fan of the Waterfront burger with garlic fries. There’s adequate parking and great service. Weather was great so we sat out back by the water. Wonderful.
