Awesome food. One of the best crab bisques I have ever had. The snapper fillet and scallops were great. The prices and portions were fairly reasonable as well. Would definitely come back to this spot again.

Worth the 45 min drive, yup we drove 45 mins for the fried snapper. We recently visited Mexico and had fried whole snapper and anytime we get this dish outside of the states it always hits, but back home it's never the same. FINALLY we found a spot! Happy Snapper Seafood HITS, from the small family owned feel to the fresh seafood to the service. Definitely find the time and GET THE SNAPPER!

Jose was awesome, friendly, and gave excellent suggestions. The blackened grouper was so fresh I couldn’t believe it’s quality and flavor. Amazing! No overpowering flavors, but just right. The grouper came with white rice and broccoli. Bathe white rice and brócoli were cooked perfectly. Fluffy rice, light natural flavor, and the broccoli was steamed just right, with a little bite to it. They weren’t seasoned much, but it honestly highlighted the grouper flavors and made for an all together healthy dish you absolutely would order again and feel healthy after eating. I was loving everything so much, that as I write this I ordered a shrimp quesadilla- one of Jose’s suggestions. Can’t wait for it to come out! (Update, it just came out and I cant tell you enough how perfect it was. The shrimp was so delicate and the cheese was rich and creamy. They serve it with peppers inside and something acidic to give it a pop and boy was it outstanding. Atmosphere, painting and decorating: the place is simple, lit mostly by the window light. It does need updated lighting. The can lights are a bit small and too dim even at midday it seems a little dark. The seating is a bit plain, they could use something a little more rustic looking that reminds tu of docks or something. But I didn’t want the score to be affected too much because atmosphere aside you need to visit asap.

I came here after work to pickup some lunch with my friend and was shocked to see that we found ourselves a new hidden gem. We ordered ourselves two delicious crab cake sandwiches to-go but then we wanted to dine in because of pleasant calmness inside when usually at other restaurants we are bombarded with a swarming unpleasant busy when going out for lunch. Super underrated lunch spot. Coupled with the food being fresh, crisp and savory we were enjoying it straight away and the customer service from the servers were very attentive caring and not to mention friendly you guys earned yourselves some new regulars we will be back!!!

We are from Cincinnati. My wife got the snapper. I got the shrimp and I also had a bowl of the crab soup ( half way finished with soup before picture). It was all very very good and great service would highly recommend.

WOW. This place was wonderful!! The place is very small and unassuming. The staff was impressively pleasant, helpful, and attentive. The food was amazing. We're not from FL but we've bookmarked this place because we are absolutely going back. Kudos to the cook/chef(s) because they are beyond talented. I started with the crab cake and crab bisque because I couldn't decide. Both great choices and I could've stopped there... But I didn't. I also had the scallops and dill yucca. Those were THE best scallops I've ever had. Perfectly cooked and, apparently, reheated well when my husband had some leftovers for breakfast the next day. Husband started with the calamari and then steamed shrimp, lobster tail, and scallops for his main course. He was also a very happy camper. Highly recommend.

After reading a couple of the reviews here and on yelp, I have to say that we really enjoyed our dinner and the waiter was so attentive and so polite. It is a small little restaurant but definitely worth the stop. We are from Arizona and if we lived here we would definitely be back. Just shows that you can’t listen to the minority. We have a small business in Arizona and as a small business people don’t realize what their bad review does. I had the fish and chips and my husband had the seafood fettuccini. They were both delicious!!!!!

Omg amazing experience! I was looking for a seafood spot close to the airport and this definitely did the trick! I luckily had the whole place to myself which was great. The waitress was super attentive and nice. Always smiling and making sure I had everything I needed. The food…WOW! I was blown away by the seasonings and the from scratch made hot sauce was amazing. Great portions. Everything was made to order so super hot and fresh. Super reasonable pricing. After I finished my meal I sat outside at the seating area they have and just took in some of the sun before I headed to the airport. It was the perfect end cap to a great meal. I’m from OH and I wish I could take this little gem back home with me lol. Thanks so much for the great experience!

So, so good. I had the hole fish snapper steamed and blackened with broccoli and dill yuca. A ton of food for just me, no small serving sizes here. All delicious, and the dill yuca was something new , different and tasty! A nice family run business, very hospitable folks. I overheard the couple next to me raving about the chowder too. Only sad part is I live nowhere near here, but if ever back in Orlando I'll visit again

Amazing seafood and friendly server. Everything was made from scratch. Clam chowder was very creamy, loaded with clams and super flavorful! Got the lobster tail with Dungeness section in cajun garlic butter. So delicious, so much flavor. Even the side of coleslaw was full of flavor! Will definitely visit again when we are back in Orlando!

We took a wrong turn and went a few miles looking to grab some lunch we ended up here. I walked in and no one was in the restaurant. We were instantly greeted. The service was amazing and the food was the best I’ve ever had. Definitely my new lunch spot when we drive up every week! Definitely Don’t miss out on this hidden gem.

If you are looking for the quintessential “whole in the wall”, this is it. Great prices on fabulous seafood that was cooked to perfection. We had calamari, grouper, cod, crab cakes, bisque, and more. Shrimp was done to perfection as well. I highly recommend Happy Snapper to locals and visitors alike!
