Freshly made. Tacos de carne asada are full of meat and very tasty. The location is not the best .The waiting time is 10 t0 15 min. The price is very convenient. Totally Recommended!
Yummy mexican street food, served quickly at a fair price. Tried their mexican street tacos and they're delicious. No indoor seating, so you can get either take out or sit at one of their outdoor tables, so check the weather forecast or bring sunscreen before visiting.
Tacos were good. Came from Dallas and was looking for authentic Mexican tacos. This were the best I found. Carna Asada were delicious. Tostadas…I really think they need to work on their salsa. Needs more flavor and to be more spicy. They are definitely not cheap on their meat. My advice, eat this tacos fresh hot. I recommend if you are looking real mexican tacos.
Go here!!!!!! As a Texan/Mexican I can share that these are some of the best tacos I’ve eaten. I went through the drive thru around 10 pm and the process was easy. The carne asada tacos are SO GOOD! Chorizo was a little too oily for me, but I would 100% be back for the chicken, al pastor, and carne asada tacos. Ask for sauce and limes on the side-the green one is SPICY! It was about $20 for 8 tacos and they are filling!
Wait was less than 10 minutes, but I could see why the wait time would be higher if you ordered a Gordita, flautas, or torta.
The restaurant they just bought it off a checkers and you can tell but it's okay because it's better than the checkers. The price is fantastic and the cashier was very nice. I ordered the Carne asada, Al pastor, Cabeza, and Chorizo. The Cabeza here is good if you want that. My least favorite was the Carne Asada as it was basically all fat so if you like chewing on fat and feeling it in your love handles I highly recommend it.
I also got an agua fresca of jamaica which was tart but very sweet. My friend got Horchata. How dare he do that when I wanted it cause I tried his and it was so good. Anyways. He also got a torta which he enjoyed but be sure to eat it fast because it gets soggy.
Love the tacos! Meat was very tasty and they have big serving. They only offer outside seating.
The food is phenomenal, but you will wait for it so plan accordingly. Everything tasted great but I wish they hadn’t packaged my rice and beans in a way that they would spill out and make a mess.
*After eating my second taco, I don’t even CARE that they spilled my rice lol the tacos are sooooo good.
Delicious food! Had the tacos and torta. Only outside dining though. Highly recommend!
Staf was nice and friendly. We are from out of town and we like to try everything on the menu. Tacos, torta, flautas and agua fresca, everything was delicious 😋
It's a must that I stop by when I am in the area for a good steak taco with veggies and green sauce. The tacos are always fresh and filled with meat. The staff is nice as well.
Honestly my new taco spot! At first I thought the tacos were pricy but when I saw how much meat they put into them…. They’re not greedy! I loved the tacos & the service
I love this place! The food was made to order and came out hot and was delicious! Definitely has that homemade taste. The sauces too! The person who took my order and the 2 people who helped me at the window were very nice. I received excellent customer service! My overall experience was awesome. I ordered a carnitas burrito and chicken huaraches…soooo good! The pictures don’t do it justice but the taste, price, and service definitely stood out and I will be returning.
I haven't been here for years. Not much has changed. The food is delicious, but the service could level up. The food took a while to come out. It was worth the wait the flavors were on point. The sauces were amazing. If I'm craving Mexican food and I was nearby I'd go back. Otherwise it was just ok 6 out of 10.
This is not your average tacos you’re use to eating from Taco Bell. If you’re looking for quality tacos 🌮 eat here. I ordered two carne asada (beef) tacos and two pollo (chicken) tacos. Had to wash those tacos down with a medium horchata(rice water, cinnamon some milk). All the ingredients were fresh. The tacos were hot and delicious. The horchata was perfect. Not to sweet. If you’re into spicy salsa it’s available upon request.
Price: $2.45 per taco, $3.50 for a medium horchata. Total: $14.16 after taxes.
The wait time depends. This is a local hot spot. I personally waited only 10 minutes after I ordered. But in the past I’ve waited 30 minutes when it’s really busy.
Overall: would I order from Tortas El Rey again ?…Yes.
Great customer service fresh hot delicious food. I am now a regular now. Thank you for an awesome 1st time experience.
