While you probably will not be going here for the service (it varies from chilly to ice-cold), or location (the site seems a bit 'off'), the food is consistently good. Not the most Earth shattering meal I have ever had, but tasty and sufficient for what I was expecting.
Since the start of the COVID, this place has been take-out only, strictly no dine-in. This may not be a bad option, as it allows the team to focus on what they do best -- the food.
I would recommend if you are looking for a Chinese food in the neighborhood, but wouldn't do a long journey just for this...
I ordered chinese food from China Valley tonight. I have tried alot of chinese food in the area, I am extremely picky with chinese food and have been so disappointed till tonigh. This place is absolutely delicious. I ordered the honey walnut shrimp and its perfectly made. I also got lomein and its really fabulous tasting. I wasnt crazy about the vegtable egg rolls but I was spoiled in Mn with homeade ones from a friend. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE .
We order almost exclusively off the Szechuan portion of the menu. Tonight we had tofu and vegatables, twice cooked pork, chong qing chicken and eggplant. The spice levels are not for everyone but each dish was distinctly different and delicious.
Absolutely love this place. Family service, great prices and the food is .... Damn!! Highly recommend!
Vegetables with white sauce was delicious, wok-cooked to perfection and all veggies were fresh not from a can. Mongolian Beef was generous in portion and full of flavor, and made with real sliced beef unlike what most other Chinese restaurants we've tried serve. As I'm not a spicy hot food fellow, I'd ask the chef next time to turn the heat down to very mild. It took several gulps of water to finally get used to the chili heat and enjoy the dish. The pork egg foo young was generously filled with freshly cooked veggies and served with gobs of delicious brown gravy. Chen Dee, the chef's daughter served us expertly with a smile. She is very knowledgeable about ingredients and cooking methods. China Valley Chinese Restaurant is a long-awaited gift to Oro Valley, in fact, to Greater Tucson.
My wife and I have had several different items from here and all have been great. Don't expect some super fancy Chinese food. It's take out but awesome take out. Won't be disappointed!
This was our first time in this restaurant the food was soo yummy. My only complaint is that the shrimp fried rice was to salty and the shrimp was way to soft other that the rest was excellent.
