Oviedo, FL. My group met here in the back. Food, service, availability of several kinds of hot sauces and ability to host our group were all very good.
You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. The prices were pretty good: my chicken topped salad was $9.99 tonight (Oct. 23, 2023). It came with plain white chicken breast chunks, guacamole, shredded cheddar, black beans, lettuce, sour cream, pico de gallo and dressing. I skipped the sour cream and dressing and asked for double the pico. It was pretty good, although because I didn’t get dressing it needed salt. But the hot sauce I tried (house made sriracha) was outstanding.
My friends come here often and loved what they ordered: burritos, steak bowls and a shrimp bowl.
Tijuana Flats in Ft. Lauderdale tend to be dark inside but this site had high ceilings and murals of dragons and their trademark off the wall humor. On top of that add in Halloween decorations.
It’s not the best Mexican food in that the chicken wasn’t stewed til tender in a tomato onion celery garlic broth, nor was it grilled. But it’s counter serve and as such it was 100% adequate for its niche.
This was my first visit. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I had steak tacos and they were very yummy and huge!. I actually took the second one home and had it for dinner. I was even given a lid for my sour cream. I was very pleased. I will definitely get my next taco craving satisfied at Tijuana Flats. 😋
Needed lunch after flying into SFB, so we tried this restaurant on our way to Orlando. Cool vibe with fun decorations and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The food was solid but not stellar. The tortilla chips were crispy but not warm and I don't think the tortillas used to make the burritos were cooked in any way (usually they're grilled a bit for some crunch). The ingredients were fresh and we tried a few sauces which were tasty. We would eat here again but it may not be an immediate stop when we see the sign.
I usually leave a review when something goes wrong. I order weekly from Tijuana Flats and for the last year everything has been great. My order is correct and on time and the employees are friendly and helpful. Well done!
I was surprised how really tasty the food was. I have passed by this place several times and I just never wanted to try it. I'm sorry I didn't try it years ago. Really good food, prices and the girl behind the counter couldn't have been nicer and more helpful with suggestions.. I will come back again and again.. Very happy with the whole experience.
Food is always fresh. Good flavor. Easy to place an order. They were able to follow instructions for my online order.

I had picked the Cantina Grapefruit Soda as my beverage. Chris, the general manager was our table side server. She was awesome! She mentioned she had brought the Cantina drinks in. I love that she took that initiative as the one I had was delicious. I've been a fan of Tijuana Flats for a while and usually love eating at them. Chris' efforts really put this one over the top!
Food was great. I really like the atom bombs
The only drawback is the hot sauce bar was missing a few of the good hot sauces.
Empty when I first got there but quickly became packed. Even being short staff Management and the young lady working the counter did a good job of getting things moving.

You can never go wrong with Tijuana Flats. Tacos are always good. Great value with their specials on Tuesday and Saturday.
Loved this location. Very attentive and great food.
I havent been here in years and I have to say, I'm really happy I came. I loved it. Food is better then I remembered. Cx srv was on point. I hope all locations are like this one.
Excellent service food was delicious best place for tex mex
First time at this location and the Employees were very friendly. Friendlier than other locations and very welcoming. Kind of felt like we were visiting friends and they were happy to see us. Food was good like always and we bought additional food to take home also.
Great food and great servicr.
Good prices for a better than fast food meal. Service is almost as good as a full service restaurant but without having to tip 25% (You need to order and pay at the register but they bring you the food). Food is very good compared to Chipotle.
