Best local diner. My family and I have been eating at this place for as long as I can remember. The staff is really friendly and once you've some in a few time they'll remember you and chat about anything you want. The food is excellent. All of their products come from a local market, Downtown Produce, which is only 15 minutes away and guarantees that everything is fresh. Their breakfast is hands down the best. If you're in the mood for something sweet I'd recommend the deep fried french toast. This place really is one of my favorite restaurants and I always come back and eat here whenever I'm in town.

Breakfast on Saturday. The line was long when we walked up to the door. We were seated within five minutes (just 2 of us) and the waitress immediately came to take our drink orders. Steaming hot, fresh coffee for both of us appeared quickly and was replenished by any waitress who happened to be walking by. My husband ordered a big breakfast with eggs, hashed brown potatoes, bacon and pancakes. His eggs were just as he ordered, over medium, the potatoes were crunchy on the outside and soft and hot on the inside. The bacon was very good; the pancakes were big and very tender. I ordered a greek omelet, (feta cheese, spinach and also asked for a tomato dice) plus grits and a blueberry muffin. My omelet was hot and delicious and stuffed with cheese and filling. The grits were hot and smooth, and didn't seem to be the instant kind. The blueberry muffin was big with tons of blueberries and and nice, crunchy top. (I could only eat half and took the rest home in a bag for a snack). Our food came out within 10 minutes, or less. The waitress came by several times to see if we needed anything even though she was busy with other diners. Our drinks were refilled multiple times. The staff are all very friendly but do not let socializing with customers and each other keep them from their responsibilities. In a nutshell: Great Mom and Pop restaurant with very good food and fast friendly service. Tons of regulars and repeat customers.
Wonderful breakfast. The place was PACKED and i just knew i was going to be late for work,but no these folks can light a fire under a cook to make it happen.The service was wonderful and the waitress went out of her way to accomodate a party member who had special dietary needs.There was a wonderful hometown "youre part of the family here" attitude.I've forgotten what a wonderful experience spending a saturday morning going out for breakfast can be.
The staff here are well trained and move things along quite well. The restaurant is very clean and well managed. Kaitlin provided excellent table service and the checkout process was very quick. I saw the cleaning staff looking for tables to clear and jumped on them as soon as anyone left. Well trained staff and wonderful service. Food was basic comfort food and well prepared and hot. Worth trying it for the first time.
Came about 11:30 and place was packed, always a good sign for good food, but very little wait. Came for the Creamed Chipped Beef and it did not disappoint. Also found their sausage links to be the thick breakfast type I like. Definitely will be back as we are moving to the area and want to try their pancakes and lunch menu.
One of those places where you swear your sweet ol' grandma is in the back cooking up breakfast! Make the best soft eggs, potatoes are fresh and delicious, biscuits (read: BISCUITS) are incredible, and coffee is strong. Cup is always full. Great place to eat as a family, or with friends.
Celebrating 32 years in business and I just found this place?? The CLEANEST American style diner I have ever been in. Hot, hearty and fresh. I didn't even have to ask.......yes REAL hand mashed potatoes. Also, I haven't had a "perfect" patty melt sandwich in 20 years. It is here! Cooked to a perfect medium as well. The breakfast is outrageously good as well. You have to try this place. Closes at 2pm daily though. Don't snooze and miss this one.
Awesome Experience! It will never disappoint you. The waitress was exemplary, you don't need to request anything...she already brought it to the table. The coffee cup was always full & hot, The scrapple was Superb, the French Toast was scrumptious & every need was already thought ahead & provided. This is a wonderful place with 5⭐rating. Starting from the top all through every single fantastic server. Come hungry, you won't be disappointed.
This place is wonderful. My girlfriend has a pork allergy, which most places that serve breakfast have trouble catering to and in some instances have turned us away. We were welcomed and assured it was not an issue and that they would make sure everything was safe. This was a really nice experience. Staff is friendly and welcoming, service is on point, and the food is terrific. The extra lengths they went to to make sure we could enjoy a nice breakfast out was refreshing. There was a line and the parking lot was full so we were hesitant to wait but a customer leaving stopped us and said "it moves quickly and the food is good", so we waited. The line did move quickly for seating. The servers and bus staff were super efficient and smiled the whole time. Nice people serving up smiles. The food was good. Menu has home cooked comfort food choices. Come for the food and staff. Both are excellent.
My wife’s favorite spot to get breakfast but the whole menu is amazing. Check out this breakfast burger!!!
I hadn't been here for quite sometime and we loved the food do thought we would try again. The food was good but it tasted a little different, but was good. We will go again my brother loved this place so got to go back to feel his presence.
Always love this place! Great food. Personal service. The wait staff hardly changes so you know their staff like it there too! Worth the wait in line!
We were driving to St. Augustine from Fort Lauderdale and ended up finding this little gem on our way up. The place it’s clean, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff is AMAZING! with really affordable prices. Probably the best French toasts I’ve had to date.
If you are looking to support a great local restaurant, you I’ll not regret checking this one out!

There was about 25 of us in the group we came in. The staff was prepared and friendly, quick to get our orders in and food out. There were little to no mistakes and everything came out hot and delicious! Very pleased with the hospitality and service as well as the quality of the food that was served. The restaurant itself was clean, bathrooms were large in size, but only for one person to use at a time. Overall, rated 5 stars because it's worth the visit. Honestly didn't know it was there until my family made the reservation for breakfast.
My daughter in love told me to go here and have breakfast, then my son said "you've hot to have the deep fried french toast" my goodness, it was the best thing I've ever eaten since sliced bread. I stopped back in there after my trip from South Florida to eat the same breakfast again, it is by far the GREATEST BREAKFAST AROUND!!!!!!!
Everything about Chekmarcs is Excellent. Great food, fast service, excellent employees waitress. Very clean!! You won't be disappointed. Very one is very friendly, you fill welcome just walking in the door.

We have driven by literally hundreds of times but never been there. It was very good! My wife and I both like to try various cafe restaurants on the weekends and this was a great surprise! We will be back as well. Close, the prices are good and the service was great despite being very busy!
