Finally we were avail to visit this very famous Italian Restaurant at Palm Dessert, great Food and Service, Emilio our server did a great job, and the Manager did great!
We ordered the Calamari the best I had in long time, I ordered the Chicken and my wife The pasta with Truffle.
I had 2 glasses of Justin !!
The only thing we missed was the music, no Italian music ...
Great place for Happy Hour except it's very busy in the bar but worth the wait! Yummy food, great prices and good service. I always like to visit this place every time I come out to the desert! It's a must to visit here!
We were only in town for a couple of days and wanted to have the best Italian food we could find; we certainly found it! The food was not only EXCELLENT, but the staff were wonderful, the wine list extensive, and they even have valet parking. We would go back in a New York minute!
Everything about this place is amazing!! Our first time there and we've lived in the desert for 30 years. Can't wait to go back! The Halibut dinner was to die for.
Great food and a great casual atmosphere..best of the desert
I love Mamma Gina! Never fails, one of my favorite restaurants. I celebrated my birthday there yesterday. Food and service is always on top. I'm a local and I recommend this place all the time! Thank you Mamma Ginas for always making it a great experience!
The best veal parmigiana and linguine vongole😋😋. Always a great relaxing dinner after a day at the tennis matches or anytime 🍷🍷
I love all their food personal waiters and service n awesome place to go and have a great dinner bartenders
On Sunday, my husband and I went to a lovely restaurant called “Mamma Gina’s”. We were seated in a secluded little alcove which was very intimate. Our waiter was the best. His name was “Bill”. He selected a wine for my husband who is not a wine drinker and he chose another wine for me. My husband had the Lobster Ravioli and I had the “Pollo Paillard”. The food was excellent but moreover, the service was superb! Bill, You are one of the finest servers we have ever experienced! We will see you soon!!! Penny
This is a regular for us, especially on Friday nights when we blow in from the OC. We love the off-season cucumber margaritas and variety of small plates. Busy, busy bar but we'll worth a little wait.

Went there tonight and sat in the bar - had excellent service from Vanessa and the food was wonderful!!! Can’t leave before enjoying the fabulous Creme Brûlée! Thank you again Mamma Gina’s for a great experience!!
This is my second time here and by far the best Italian food with impeccable service!!
Always the best food and prices. You can't get a better dinner what they give you . Always delicious but busy. Come early and have fun
The best Italian cuisine I've had, since I was in Italy. Everything was fresh, homemade and delicious. Great service and friendly staff. I can't wait to go back!
Impeccable service, delicious food, along with a warm and cozy atmosphere are just a few of the reasons that we always visit Mamma Gina’s when we are in Palm Desert!
Over the top! Exceptional food and fantastic service. Best happy hour ever!
We arrived early for the three course. The two fettuccine dinners were fantastic. Fresh, fresh, and Italian all the way.
Thanks to Tony Seina for the recommendation.
Best meal of our visit. Excellent food and staff very attentive!
Best Italian food on El Paseo. Best Italian food in the Coachella Valley!
Best food around! Love the bar menu!!
I’ve been here twice. Both times it was excellent. I will dream of the Napoleon until o have it against.
So good.
“This place is AMAZING”! - Danny Del Foodie - OC - GMCD give it 6 thumbs up!
Was delicious and the service was outstanding! Table 2 was the perfect table!
Went to an event tonight and had delicious food - meat balls in marinara sauce - penne pasta - Caesar salad - and some really good wines. Thank you for a fun night
We love their food and service, I recommend 1000% family satisfied
Great service and excellent food. We had a very memorable experience.
Delicious, beautiful, fine high end Italian dining in Palm Springs!! The service was really good - our waiters were accommodating and gave my friend a free dessert bc it was her bachelerette! the pasta did take a while to come out though - which makes sense because they make the food super fresh but it felt a little bit too long and the wait wasn’t fun, but the pasta was genuine and really good! My friends had the bolognese and spaghetti carbonara and those tasted really good. I had the gluten free penne - the gluten free penne wasn’t as tasty but makes sense because it’s gluten free - but it’s nice that they even offer gluten free options for people with gluten sensitivity! The portions for these plates were also not astronomical, they’re expensive dishes and a little less than average portion. We also shared an appetizer which I forgot the name but it was raw beef with arugula and cheese on top. It made my stomache feel a bit queasy but I think that’s because I never eat raw things - not a huge fan but it’s an acquired taste. They also have complementary bread which is warm and fresh and it was tasty. Would recommend coming here for a fancy dinner if you’re in the area!
My favorite Italian Restaurant in Palm Desert. I suggest reservations. They offer a nice variety of Dishes from appetizers to pasta, meat or seafood. Cocktails and wine available.
Good food, friendly atmosphere and a nice price point. The restaurant was full on a random Monday night, which means it must be good! They serve French bread and focaccia with a delicious olive tapenade or you can choose to dip your bread in olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Either way, you can’t go wrong. I had the Insalata Gustosa with goat cheese, walnuts and a poached pear to start which was fantastic. I chose the mushroom risotto as my main course and it was creamy and flavorful. They have an extensive wine and cocktail list, as well as several dessert options, but I was too full to try anything. The staff was very attentive and the service was excellent.
We are still here and Chris is outstanding. Wow, my wife and I are so pleased. I have never reviewed a restaurant before the meal ended, but this is so elegant, pleasant and delicious that we couldn't wait. Excellent and five stars doesnt do this restaurant justice. Thanks Chris for such great service and fun! Dave and Lisa
Excellent meal, all food was delicious. We had several dishes and enjoyed the depth of flavor. Service was there throughout the entire meal. Finished with the world best creme brulee which was beyond smooth.
Love coming here for happy hour. Great service, and delicious! Bread has a crust to it, while the inside is like soft and delectable. Tender meatballs with a zesty tomato sauce. Also had the ravioli, and fried zucchini. Emjoyed every dish!
Food was delicious, I loved the availability of just meat and potatoes if that's what you want along with many classic and unique Italian creations. Nice menu! I had the salmon with mashed potatoes and asparagus and everything was cooked perfectly. Pasta fagioli soup was uniquely done and very good and hearty. Our server, Chris, was very kind and attentive. Even the tap water tastes great! Everyone at our table was very happy. We will definitely be back. Thanks for a great experience and meal!
INSANELY DELICIOUS!!!! 🤩🤩🤩 Absolutely loved every bite of every dish!! Will definitely be coming back again!! Had the Caprese Mamma Gina for an appetizer. The "Burrata" cheese had a nice creamy inside and was the best caprese I've ever had! There was also focaccia and sourdough bread to snack on, which my husband and 4 year old son really enjoyed. I ordered the Salmon and a side dish of gluten free penne with a creamy mushroom sauce. My husband had the carbonara and our son had a small dish of fettuccine for dinner. We also ordered the panna cotta and the Napoleon for dessert. The salmon was very good, but would have been even better with a cream sauce instead. The side dish of gluten free penne with a creamy mushroom sauce - the sauce was OMG delicious!! I tried to scrape every bit of sauce from the bowl when I was done and was very tempted to lick the bowl clean! My husband really liked the carbonara and our son actually ate most of his fettuccine, which is rare. My husband said the fettuccine our son ate was a little boring, but our kid loved it. It probably goes really well with shrimp or chicken though. The panna cotta was also delicious - at first it tasted a bit like if horchata was made into pudding, which was surprisingly yummy, but then the creamy flavor took center stage and finished the dessert out nicely. On a side note, there were two raspberries and one small blueberry on top of the panna cotta. It's kinda hard to mess up raspberries, but there are so many different flavors of blueberries - the blueberry on top of mine was perfect! It was a sweet blueberry that reminded me of these wild blueberries from Maine I had a long time ago. My husband and son liked the Napoleon dessert, which is a flaky pastry with what seems like good cannoli filling in between the layers. He said it tasted good, but not really amazing. The service here was also top notch - the manager gave our son some paper and crayons to color with, empty plates were cleaned up promptly, and when I wanted to add the side order of pasta to my order, I was able to flag down the manager and it was delivered while I was still eating my main meal. Overall the food was very delicious and we will definitely be coming back!!
A great lunch place in El Paseo that feels like a hidden secret. You go to the bar and get a happy hour lunch menu. I got a salad with the most flavorsome poached pear, and my mom got good non salty soup. The foccacia was the best, tho! Go here!
Incredible Italian Food!
Best zucchini sticks I’ve ever had and the chicken piccata was fork-tender and absolutely delicious!!
Tonight was their version or Sausage and Peppers with gluten free pasta.
Negroni was a highlight. No gluten free bread. Get the veal on the bone, or the squid ink ravioli.
We just found our perfect spot! My husband and I ordered pasta and signature fish which was swordfish with truffle…. And OMG it was delicious! On top of it they surprised us with amazing melting in your mouth tiramisu.
Well done:) we are coming back tomorrow
This was a first time in a long time but I’ve been the one missing out. We went on a happy hour date which was kinda hard to get in on last Thurs at 7:30p but we only had to wait about 15 mins. Everything was priced right, the drinks were poured like the did in the 1950’s and we were the the only babies in the room. This is a true old timers spot in PD. It’s been around forever bc it’s awesome. Hope I didn’t say too much.
This place is great. I always go to the bar side where the food is less expensive but dishes are smaller. Sometimes it can be loud though. The gorgonzola gnocchi is really good. The Maître d' was super nice.
What a terrific establishment. My wife and I flew out from NYC to stay in Palm Desert for our anniversary - our first evening out we made reservations at Mama Gina. My wife and in laws were regulars here years ago and highly recommend it.
Mama Gina's proved itself to be a very worthwhile recommendation.
The staff is incredibly warm, kind, professional and attentive. The food was out of this world. Absolutely exceptional.
This is now one of my favorite Italian restaurants- if not, my favorite. That says alot because I am an Italian food fanatic and i have high standards. I was very, very happy with every aspect of this experience and we will certainly be returning when we come out west again.
I strongly recommend the eggplant Parm and the capalini pasta complimented by the post and beam cabernet and followed by the tiramisu.
My only complaint is this restaurant is a very long commute from NYC and I wish they were closer !!
