Absolutely amazing!! Wish I had better lighting for the pictures, but everything was so delicious. Definitely worth the wait. Cocktails are spot-on, service is spectacular, and the food was sublime. Skip the chips and salsa and save room for your meal.
Came here for one year anniversary with my boyfriend and I fell in love immediately. Love the food, love the drinks, love the environment, and love the service here! Highly recommend the steak nachos, which was like blowing me out of the water kind of good! And the lobster tacos! Amazing! It might be a bit on the pricier side, but it’s the whole lobster tail and the quality is GOOD! And I have a lot of oysters in my life, and I would say the oyster here is also worth trying! Fresh and juicy and plump! House specialty margarita and cocktails are all super nice! And also, have to mention that we got the nice treat of the dessert flan from the restaurant for our anniversary and it was beyond good too! I just wished I didn’t need to drive after the meal so I can continue with 3rd round, 4th round of drinks… will highly recommend and will definitely come back next time visiting Palm Springs!
Unfortunately the music was not playing when we were there (consistently, it kept cutting out) which really impacted the atmosphere for us. The lighting was quite bright which also didn’t help. The drink menu is fabulous- they have a flight of margaritas available, which are tasty! The food was nice. None of the 5 of us were a fan of the street corn side dish (I prefer on the cob and saucy…)- other than that, the chicken tacos, fajitas, and verde enchiladas were good.
We arrived at the restaurant around 1:00 PM, and both the inside and outside were almost full. Since we brought our dog, luckily, there was one table left outside. Although there was a sunshade, the sunlight was still too strong, and it felt too hot. Fortunately, the people at the neighboring table left, so we asked the server to help us switch tables. Even though the server was very busy, they still helped us. They also brought a bowl of water with ice for my dog to drink. The atmosphere here was fantastic. We ordered GRILLED SHRIMP tacos and CEVICHE with octopus。
In summary, the service is excellent, and both the shrimp and octopus are very fresh. However, the taste of each dish was not particularly surprising. The tortilla chips were the most disappointing; their texture did not feel freshly made.
Everything about this restaurant was very good. The flights, the drinks, the food, and the service. No complaints. The margarita flights are made with real ingredients. Not a store bought margarita mix definitely and if it was, wow they fooled me. I love to make mine from scratch.
The service was great and our server went above and beyond to make our experience amazing. It was our first visit and her recommendations were on point. A must visit when in the Palm Springs area. The flavors of our food were truly authentic and delicious. The tres leches cake was exceptional.
Delicious spot for tacos and margs!!!
Better make a reservation, as this place was full on a Friday night. We had a large group! It was nice to seated inside with the AC. But they did have plenty of misters outside.
Food was phenomenal! We loved everything we ordered. You can’t go wrong.
The flight margaritas were allll so good! Not a bad one in the bunch!!! We had our favorites but they were all so yummy!!!
Amazing food and service. We went in without a reservation was a 1 hour wait but everything was excellent. Very authentic Mexican cuisine. Appetizers were great, loved the taco chips. Seen others ordering the margarita flight. That also looks amazing and good photo worthy presentation!
The margarita flight was everything and more. So much flavor and effect! I felt it.
Spent my bday dinner here. It’s such a cute place and really yummy upscale Mexican food. I had the short rib enchilada, my bday flan was really good too and I’m not a fan of flan but this was perfect texture and flavor. Very good! Service from Pablo was perfect. All the Palm Springs vibes on Palm Canyon. A must try.
Visited on a Friday afternoon around 4 pm and there was no wait. Waiter was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed during our entire dining experience. The food was delicious. I had the chicken enchiladas with a side of rice. I also had the mini tacos appetizers. I sampled the crab cakes and I must say every one at the table loved them. We were a party of four and our bill was a little over $200. We ordered three margarita flights which i would give a 5/5..cute, strong and very good. Two appetizers, a meal for each, and the churro ice cream sandwich and tres leche cake. I wouldn’t say they are expensive but I wish everything wasn’t a la carte.
Been talking about a return visit to Tac/Aquila and PS for 3-1/2 yrs. We’ll never wait that long again. I can’t find any Mexican like this in Scottsdale.
Grilled avocado salad alone was worth the trip. Sized to share. I had the ahi tuna tacos. Absolutely Fantastic. Wife loved her steak fajitas as much as the first time. Food total VERY reasonable at $77. 3 drinks were $43. We typically drink home instead but this meal was worth savoring. Main dining room super comfortable. The service was top notch.
We stumbled onto this place, It's a bit of heaven. In the last hour of opening, they welcomed us in, along with our dog. The waiter was very knowledgeable of their food and drinks. We proceeded to eat and drink the heavenly food. It's a must go to!
this place was packed! Glad I made a reservation for a party of 8. We were seated on time. The food was amazing. We had the short rib enchiladas, jackfruit enchiladas, fajitas, guacamole, nachos and Octopus Ceviche. Service was very good. My only slight disappoint was being seated on the street-side patio. The ambiance was still fine because the food was so good.
The oysters here were so good. My friend and I originally got 6 and loved them so much that we got 6 more. I also don't like alcohol but can admit that the margarita flight was relatively tasty. I liked the vivid colors and different salts and sugars on the rim. The nachos were good as well but not as impressive as the oysters.
My wife and I went on a date night while visiting Palm Springs with our family. While we had to wait about an hour for a table on a Friday night, the way it was worth it. Very cute atmosphere, and I knew that tells the story of the restaurant. Asher recommended the ceviche stack mean I’m glad we took her up on it. The ceviche was great, especially the octopus. We both had margaritas which were great, especially the spicy cucumber margarita. My wife had the short rib enchiladas and I had the steak fajitas. We will definitely be coming back the next time we come to Palm Springs!
I brought my family to Tac/Quila for my birthday and I have to say I had a great experience. The staff were very attentive to us. They provide water to us as soon as our glasses were low. The food was delicious! My kids are picky eaters and they actually ate all of their food. I ordered the margarita flight and each one was delicious. Overall, the food and drinks were delicious. The price was above average but was worth it.
Great food and excellent service. We had our server pick our courses and she was spot on!
There were no cooler seating areas inside, so outdoor and indoor were hot.
Close to town. Clean amenities.
The service was top-notch, more like the service/staffing you receive at a higher price point. Everyone is well-trained and attentive. Be prepared to put your name in and return when you get your text; for good reason there is a wait (even on a Monday, in mid-October, at 3:00p).
The drinks pictured are Tres Agaves (pictured 1st) and Te Enamoré (comes sweetened with tamarind). Both were fantastic.
The food: Whitefish Ceviche, Seared Ahi Taco, and Torta Ahogada. Each was delicious. I will re-order the ceviche for sure, and try new entrees next time.
We can't wait to return to this gem!
