Well, we just reached here in the name of indian food. It is a small restaurant but with all facilities. So small is not a problem.
Next is food quality and taste, so food quality was good, taste wise okayish. Panner tikka masala was little confusing as it was looking more like paneer kadhai or i guess paneer butter masala. The restaurant was clean but rest room was not good and clean. I hope they could do something about that. Parking space was enough.
Service was quick, very little place to sit though. Take out process is quick as well. Mango lassi was good.
This has to be the best Indian food that we've had so far, and we have tried many places. We started off with samosa's, and although they were smaller than what we are accustomed to, they had a punch of flavor, spicier than most but delectable nonetheless. My husband had the saag paneer - medium, and I tried amritsari wadi aloo - mild. We both shared a side of coconut rice and naan - it was all absolutely delicious. Fresh spices in the coconut rice, which I loved. There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options in their menu. I appreciated that they served the food family style. It made it a lot easier to sample each other's meal, which is something that we both enjoy to do. We were too full to eat dessert there but couldn't leave without ordering a kheer to go. I tasted it for review purposes, and although I'm full, I want to continue eating it, lol.
Their service was extraordinaire! Super friendly and attentive - made sure that we had plenty of water in our mason jars along with a clean table and wiped our plates before they were placed.
The only suggestion I can make for such a great place is to take better care of their bathroom and floors. It took away from the atmosphere but definitely not from their great food and service. Aside from that, we will be sure to visit again if we are ever in the area.
The taste of india 🇮🇳 .Hidden gem in Parsippany troy-hills open till 10:30 to 11 pm . If you are vegetarian/non-vegetarian this place is right choice to satisfy your taste buds + its BYOB . - Pahadi murgh kabab and murgh kali mirch we’re awesome 👏 . Tandoor item was good too. Chicken dum biryani best in Nj
- Makko Di Roti Sarshon ka Sag , veg panner dum biryani, Jeera chili aloo, Chole Punjabi, Panner Kurchan , Dahi wale kabab also liked it.
- This place do serve RUMALI Roti very rare now days in Indian restaurant.
- Liked there fast and approached service.
- Do you eat spicy they make spice level the way you like. Make sure you don’t get trouble next day 🥵😜
- Do not judge by its location and appearance. (BYOB)
I went to Dhaba Express with my husband. We had our doubts as the place looked tiny. But our doubts were cleared as we ate our lunch.
For an appetizer, we ordered malai chap and it was delicious - heavy and creamy.
For the main course, we order double dal tadka and tandoori roti and the dal tadka brought so many memories from India. It felt so comforting.
We also ordered a vegetable and paneer biryani for which we did not have any appetite but packed and ate the next day for lunch and it was great too. The quantity was a lot.
We got moong dal halwa packed and it was a bit too sweet for us.

They're pretty honest with you about how busy they are . They know they're a small place and will tell you , if you choose to sit and eat , that'll it'll take a while. But the appetizers are so filling that the wait is perfect. The food is so amazing and as close to what I use have with my family in India growing up , then most of the places I've been told. Extremely authentic. Great services..even when you can see the stress on their faces ..you can tell they're trying their damn best. Go there and respect the hard work ..cause the food is THAT good. One of the best hidden spots in Jersey for Indian food
Great place! Always worth the visit. Food, service everything is great!
Very tasty! Good quantity. Lots of vegetarian options.
Don't let the name 'express' and the location fool you. The food was great. My favorites were the mushrooms on a sizzling plate and also the lamb chops. Also the Biryani in a clay pot. Only down side was the constant ringing of the phone for people placing pick up orders.
