There are not too many around, and I had to drive pretty far to get to this one. Lol
It was definitely worth it. I've been here twice, and both times, it was perfect. I have never driven this far for "fast food," but I'm willing to do it again when I get that craving.
A friend and I went after work. We ordered $45 worth of food. We went after 10. The dining room was closed. No problem. We did the drive thru. It took a few minutes to get our food...BECAUSE THEY COOKED IT ALL FRESH! The girl at the window let us know it was going to be a second. It was an overall great time.
I ordered at the drive through. I got my food quickly and it was DELICIOUS. The fried fish, hush puppies, and fries were hot and fresh. I love this place!
Nice to find one open. My wife and I both love Long John Silver’s. the fish was excellent but the chicken was a bit tough and tended to slide out of the breading. Will be going back.
If you know and love Long John Silvers you’ll get the good stuff right here. I’ve been eating LJS since the 70s and this location is doing it right. My five-star rating is based solely on my expectations of LJS product and not by comparison to other seafood options. Service is as adequate as you can expect from fast food chain, but not bad at all. If you’re expecting anything more than fast food fish and chips and fast food counter service, you may be disappointed, but if you’re a fan of this classic, waning fast food chain, you’ll feel right at home. Sadly all of the modern restaurants have dispensed with the classic pub style interiors with nautical themed decor, in favor of your standard Formica clad surfaces, so the experience is lacking in that respect only.
great kind customer service. saddens me to see this fantastic chain under appreciated. went there w my mom on saturday at lunch time and the whole time we dined in we were the only ones there. my favorite seafood of all time. i dont care what anyone says. please go support your local lohn john because I love this place and they keep closing down. DONT LET LOHN JOHN SILVERS DISAPPEAR! delicious fish, awesome breading and the best seafood chain
New Management has been the best! Food quality taste much fresher especially during lunch hour. Staff is more friendly. I almost gave up on this location, but thought I'd give it another shot. Glad I did!!
My mother and brother-in-law both managed Long John Silvers restaurants back in the early 90's. I spent plenty of time in an LJS corner booth drawing pictures, reading books, eating fish/chichen/shrimp/clams and wondering why they called them hush puppies. There aren't many Long John Silvers around anymore so when I get a chance to go get those crispy crunchy krums of nostalgia as well as every other delicious thing that they offer I go. Many locations are run-down, dirty, & sad; but not this one. The Deer Park LJS is the cleanest, most well kept looking location that I've been to in decades. Their employees have always been friendly to me as well. I hope the company survives and the classic batter recipes don't change. I'll be back when I can--always ordering extra clams.
Long John Silvers is classic! I just so happen to live right smack dab by one.
They used to be everywhere but now they are what I will call exclusive.
It's like VIP now days.
It good eatin'
Fried fish and hush puppies is old school cool.
Long John Silvers is one of the last of the old small school chains. Like many smaller chains like Hardys and Big Boys, it never reached the heights of Micky D 's or Burger King. With changing times it struggled to hold market shares as Hardees and Big Boys closed. Lack of customers caused some remaining sites to sell freezer burnt fish and fries with flat pop as the one I experienced in Pearland before they closed. The long Johns in Pasadena TX is going strong like it did in the past. The inside was spacious and clean. We saw multiple drive-through customers, but the inside had only one other customer. It was clean with modern details. The staff was curtious and very friendly. The food was made fresh and brought to our table. The fish was perfectly done and not overly greasy. The same for the shrimp which were back to being actual shrimp as opposed to the ahromp they tried in the past which were the long and round made of pieces of shrimp with a shrimp tail at the end. It was so refreshing to experience this great piece of America alive and doing well.
The fish and shrimp fries and cole slaw was fresh and tasty. Iced unsweet tea was good. Service was quick and polite. A Five Star Long John Silver done the right way.
The food was greasy as usual. Service was good. Atmosphere was ok. A bit pricey based on quality.
Always fresh and delicious food
I would always recommend to my friends and family
I really enjoy ljs. I was upset when they closed down the one near me in Pearland and Pasadena TX. So I'm glad I'm still able to dine in at this location.
Great as usual. Too bad there not many locations. I drive all the way to Passadena to Long John Silver, 15 miles from home
