Excellent food, hot chocolate, and chocolate lattes. Fantastic service. The dining room is small but comfortable, and the seating comfortable. A bit pricey — breakfast for two can run to $40 — but still recommended. My wife, who is originally from Ecuador, says that the salt levels are significantly reduced from the original recipes to cater to a California clientele.

This place is excellent!!! Everything is delicious! Literally the BEST LATTE I have ever had, and the best churros. What a treat!!! I ordered a hot meal consisting of delicious Venezuelan food (tequeños, pabellón dish, and cachapa with cheese) on a Saturday, and I was pleasantly surprised at how fast the food came out. The service was also excellent. The staff was polite and courteous, and I felt catered to. I can't get over the coffee! I ordered the Amara Latte (Oh my gosh!!! Tasted like glory!) But they have a variety of different flavored coffees that I can't wait to try. In short, my first visit to this place was fantastic, and I look forward to visiting again. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend it!!! Go check it out and enjoy the treat! :) R. Adriana.

Wow I just visited a former haunt and I am wondering why I don't visit this place more often. The food and drinks are the best in the area. The staff is courteous and well trained. And the owner Amara is a delight. If you have a chance make sure you stop by.

The best, crunchy, not oily churros in town. Worth the visit for them alone but the coffee, arepas, chocolate and food make Amara even better. Not to be missed. Viva Venezuela!

Cozy place. Venezuelan for brunch and variety of churros. Got to eat them as we had in Barcelona and Madrid. Would love a chance to return.

Love the food, coffee and dessert. It was a small, but welcoming little place.

Attentive service in this cafe setting restaurant! Churros were crunchy and crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside with dark chocolate dipping and lemon berry ice cream to balance out the desserts!! Traditional hot Venezuelan chocolate is tasty too!!

I had a cacoa latte (mocha for me) and it was the best coffee drink I've ever had. The 61% dark chocolate made it amazing. I wish there were an Amara where I live!
