What a great place! The only negative thing I can say is that the table next to us was really, really loud (almost obnoxiously loud) but I can't complain--it's informal French -Mexican dining. Everything we had was 5-stars. The bread was light and airy, the mushroom dish was excellent, and the fish dish (I'm sorry I can't remember the name but the taste was nforgettable) was moist and tasty. Don't forget to try the shrimp ceviche and the uni dish. Wow, laulau as they say in Hawaii. Wish they had this place back home in the islands but it just means I'll have to come back to Old Pasadena again. What a great little town.
Yummy. We just celebrated my husbands birthday last night at Lost at Sea.....Best. Butterscotch Pot de Creme with house made cajeta. Ever...Also remarkable was the puff pastry peach tart a la mode. Small sparse menu full of really really fresh modestly portioned simple small plates served family style. We did not indulge but for those that do the menu has more beer and wine choices than entrees. Our server concocted perfectly sweetened and brewed ice tea for us. Plenty gluten free choices. Flank streak with salsa verde and frites for meat eaters. Lime and tomatillo marinated raw yellowtail was divine. Caesar salad just a simple spear of romaine dressed with silvery fresh slices of anchovy. Avocado salad. Oysters. Salmon. Snapper. All good.
Oysters were decadent... grilled octopus in mole was so flavorful great sweetness balance and the gnocchi was pretty amazing. The service was great!! Our server paired our drinks perfectly to our meals and likes. The chef with the dodger cap, must be an owner, was gracious enough to pick up our plates and thank us for joining them for dinner. That says alot about you and your establishment. Our first time and definitely not the last!!!
Every single dish tastes and looks excellent! What a refreshing take on seafood! The octopus was perfectly cooked 😍😍 so yummy! We will definitely visit again!
Seriously should have a Michelin Star!! The food was prepared artfully.. it was delicious. Every bite!!! Mike and Robbie were great hosts :)
Chef T.C. and owner Santos Uy genuinely go above and beyond to make sure your dining experience is special. My wife and I got Lost at Sea for our fifth wedding anniversary and it was spectacular. I had the snapper and it was amazing. It is so nice that Pasadena has this restaurant.
Lost at Sea is bae. I am never disappointed. Always satisfied. If you don't visit this fine establishment, you will regret it for the rest of your life. Seriously. I'm completely willing to share bae. Come and partake in this sensuous sumptuous feast.

We were so impressed! The people were delightful, service great and good wonderful. We met the chef, introduced ourselves and at the end of the night he peeked out and said, "good night Gigi and Jim". The food was unique and creative. For me, the ahi was the best. Although the scallop appetizer, fish soup and butterscotch Dessert were wonderful too. Very casual atmosphere
Great, fun place. Uni Panna Cotta and Crab Gnocchi were amazing.
The service and food are both excellent.
To find a seafood restaurant in the middle of Pasadena was a serendipitous event!!
This place is tucked away from the main drag in Old Pasadena, so you might never notice it. But, the food is spectacular.
Every single dish we had here was fantastic. There was not a single one i wouldn't order again. Great variety of flavors, but not overcomplicated.
Everyone is head over heels about Union right now but this is my new favorite place in Old Pasadena.
I'd be happy if I was adrift with the "Lost at Sea" crew! The service professional and friendly, menu varied, great wine list and delicious food. The most amazing crudité ever!
Superb food and service. Every dish is inventive with unexpected and outstanding flavor.
Interesting menu, great service. Be open minded, it is different.
Picture perfect from the kitchen on every plate. We will repeat our night at Lost at Sea House. Thanks Chef Tim for your hospitality, you are truly a real Chef.
Chef Tim Carey is a true talent. Everything on the menu is cooked with an incredible attention to detail - from the flavor to the presentation. The wait staff is very friendly and the wine list is carefully chosen. This is a great place to take a date or treat a friend to a world class meal.
