You have to walk on water to get a five star from me, but this was pretty great. We haven't been this way in years, and Margie's didn't disappoint. Very clean, good atmosphere, portions a bit too large, but very fresh and flavorful.
Very good food and service! I got the Philly sandwich in picture #1. I got the onion rings instead of fries. they were big and SUPER yummy. The sandwich was also yummy, had the perfect amount of peppers and onions.
The next morning we had breakfast there. In picture #2 I had the chili cheese omelette with the biscuits and gravy subbed for potatoes and toast. The omelette was great, just wish it was a bit bigger. The chili tasted excellent. The gravy for the biscuits was a little bland, so next time I would get the potatoes instead.
Food was delicious! And service was excellent. Would definitely go back. Highly recommended.
Stopped here for breakfast, one of the best breakfasts ive had. Friendly staff, food came fast and was delicious. The presentation of the food was so pretty. I recommend eating here you wont regret it.
So many yummy things on the menu! I wanted to try them all. Maybe next time. My wife and I went there for breakfast today. She got a Fat City combo, I got a berry waffle. Then we shared with each other. The waffle was crisp, not too filling, with lots of lovely fresh berries. Bacon and eggs were fine, but I'll skip having hash browns if I go again.
Atmosphere was nice, took me back to the old days when motels had restaurants attached. And such a sweet, hotel cat! He came to greet us and get scritches and pets.
We stayed at the Best Western and got three 5 dollar discount coupons for Margie‘s Diner for breakfast. We went there with three people and ordered two items and my daughter and wife shared their breakfast. The food was good, not great. When we wanted to pay the waitress just accepted two of our three coupons, because we just had two meals. But then the manager came and showed great customer service. He gave us the proper discount. Therefore this review gets an extra star for really good customer service.
This sandwich was really good. Fries were crispy and tasty. This and a soda cost like $21. I’ll be back. I couldn’t finish the sandwich so I got the rest to go. The staff were very friendly and the manager was very mindful that my waitress got tied up at the register and he sent another one to serve me. Really like this place 👍🏻
This was an amazingly pleasant breakfast. The food was delicious. The service was on point. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Definitely will come back.

Hands down one of the best breakfast/lunch places in Paso Robles. I will always recommend this place to come out and eat. I came out to have some breakfast. I had chipotle burrito and my wife a Monterrey omelette and French toast with berries.
The services was quick and staff would check with me to see if I needed anything. Portions are big and delicious. Later that day I came for their famous shakes, onions rings and burgers. 10/10 in all food items!!!!
This is a family own restaurant! Let’s support our local Paso Robles business.
I don't know that their Bare Burger was necessarily the "best basic burger" I've ever had, but it was tasty enough.
My man and I stopped here on the way to Pismo Beach for lunch and it was absolutely amazing. It was definitely the best burgers we’ve EVER had. Definitely Try the onion rings. The service was impeccable. We will definitely return.
Sunday, Nov 14, 2021 we returned for breakfast on our way home. The owner remembered us, but that’s not all. We had an incredible breakfast. If your coming through town, put this restaurant on your list. It’s the best!
All the portions were really big. I had an omelette that was done perfectly - not greasy or too cheesy, just yummy! Our only request would be to add sausage crumbles to the biscuits and gravy, which my husband still enjoyed.
First timer, passing through PR. Parking lot is shared with a hotel it adjoins, so there is some competition for space. Otherwise, it was busy and our wait was minimal. Liked the seating arrangements and even the counter seating was full. Generous portions of food and breakfast was tasty. Staff was busy but efficient. Overall a nice experience. I would return to try another menu item.
Stopped here with my grandma and son and we all left satisfied with the quality of food. My son got a kids plate with a Pancakes, scrambled egg, and bacon. My grandma got the rib eye steak sub and absolutely loved it!!!(Not pictured)
I got the French Dip and it was absolutely delicious! Definitely will get this again.
The prices justify the quality of food you are getting. The employees were all friendly that we talked to.
I highly recommend stopping here if you are in the area.
I was able to get a late breakfast before heading back home. I got the Berry French Toast, sausage & eggs. OMZod so much food. The place is big, clean, accepts Apple Pay & is on Instagram
One of Paso Robles, best places to eat!. I had French toast cooked to perfection. A cup over filled with fresh assorted fruits, one out standing cup of fresh coffee, and absolutely fantastic service. Do try Margie's if you're in town.
I ordered an omlette, it was very filling and was tasty. I was able to trade out bread and potatoes for a fluffy biscuit and gravy, which a grandchild ate, as it was alot of food.
Food came quickly, we all had breakfast, it was a lot of food.
The service was with a smile, a larger laminated menu, came to take drinks right away.
And I appreciate the clean bathroom!
The food at Margie's is always good, large portions too. The server never let me run out of ice tea. I had a hot turkey and gravy sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. It was delicious, tasted just like what mom would make growing up. I can't wait to have it again.
