I'm reviewing the restaurant based on its food and customer service! Went to the Oakland park restaurant w/ my spouse Walter today around 4:15 or so. I ordered the shrimp dinner w/ mac and cheese and green beans - Food was A+. Walter ordered the fried chicken, mac and cheese w/ yams - everything was tasty. I should have ordered the yams. Lol! They were amazing. The only critique I would have to say was the hour wait, but the owner came out herself and apologized and offered a complimentary drink which was nice. Will be back!
Ate there for the first time tonight and it was great Miss Brenda gave us excellent service. She suggested this drink called a suicide for my daughter and it was amazing. I moved to the Weston area in 2001 and we have never had any soul food even close to where we live. The food was great. The only issue I had was 4.00 is a bit much for a side order. But this is definitely my new food spot.
My first time here today! And I must say they can definitely cook some soul food!! We loved our food! $50.00 well spent today����

I have to admit this was my first time there but the food was great the service was great I have to give a great big shout out to them.
Today was a good day (in my Ice Cube voice)! The Staff conducted themselves very professionally while experiencing a power outage in the entire plaza with a restaurant full of customers! Thank Goodness they invested in GAS appliances! What a smart business decision because they were still able to operate & take care of their call-in & face to face orders! I ordered 3 meals, 6 orders of corn bread, koolaid, side of collards & 1 strawberry cake. Everyone enjoyed their meal! The owner also gave me a complimentary order of cabbage to take home since they were all out when I ordered. I can't wait for the Oakland Park Blvd location to open next weekend. #PlantationFLSupports #Delicious
The food was excellent! We ate in for lunch and Ms. Brenda's service was exemplary! She is like your favorite Auntie! The food was so good we ordered take out for dinner! Don't forget the cornbread.

The first time I visited this place I wanted to write a review and share photos of this amazing food. But unfortunately, it was so good once I started eating I didn't stop until my plate was empty🤦🏽♀️. Yes that good 😋
So I returned again and had the Mac& cheese , yams and Cat fish , which is fried to perfection , my fiancé had the salmon & shrimp , Mac& cheese, yams and greens also delicious 😋

The food was delicious. The Turkey wings and greens melt in your mouth and definitely mouth watering. The chicken wings with magic sauce were my favorite flavor. Was visiting from out of town and definitely will hit this spot again. They were sold out of Mac and cheese but I’m sure it was good like everything else.
The food was great seasoned well. So tasty! I ordered through Uber eats. I got scared because of the previous comments. But it was super good. The salmon was so flavorful, Mac and cheese hit the spot and the candied yams had me doing my little food dance. I will definitely be dining in soon. Can’t wait to try the turkey wings.

I'm so disappointed I haven't been back here since may 2023 because one night I ordered via uber eats because I was tired and was being lazy my food came burnt and horrible fast fwd today Sept 3 2023 I tell the cashier not my usual cashier who usually deal with me because I always come get the same thing salmon w/ shrimp extra onions greens & mac this time I added rice. I'm so livid yes on the outside some foods look good until you start eating it greens full of stems & funny burnt taste rice hard my salmon dried out only thing taste normal shrimp & mac & cheese. I'm disappointed I have to come on and say this about this establishment because magic use to always be my go to. I'm mad money waisted & Im hungry. Hopefully management get this message because your use to be 5 star restaurant to me headed on fast slope to 1 at first I thought cause I ordered from uber but me even coming in like old times I'm livid if I wasn't tired ill come and bring it back to get my money back. I'm going to upload pic from today and pic from May so no one think I'm just saying this I'm a foodie I travel just to patronize & try different foods this was my comfort food that mad me upset
Delicious food and excellent service! Tasted the covered wings of turkey. The meat was so wonderful that it fell right off the bone! I will most certainly return!
Zane provided excellent customer service! Engaging. Funny. Kind. It was my first time there and she was patient and provided recommendations. Food and service was all around a Great! will definitely be back.

The quantity and quality of the food here is AWESOME. I was in town visiting and ended up here on Friday Night. My daughter and I enjoyed the food so much that we went back for lunch on Sunday. I told the cashier I will see her when I return. I had baked bbq chicken, baked mac n cheese, and candied yams. OMG!!!
Incredible food and great service! I went today for the first time and tried the smothered turkey wings. The meat fell off the bone and was so delicious! I’ll definitely be back!
