This place is Perfect!
Great authentic deli atmosphere.
We were there at 11am (opening), and only one other car in the parking lot and thought it was just a little hole in the wall place. By the time we were done with an amazing pizza and experience (Kaila was an Awesome worker and a Pure Joy!) the place was packed, and a wait at the door! Obviously a Very popular place.
Our last lunch in Pensacola and it didn’t disappoint. The service was a tiny bit off but I think it was just because they were busy. Just slow and a mistake on salad dressing and then we couldn’t fix it because she didn’t come back.
Overall, the food was fantastic tho. The corn and crab gumbo is amazing. I can’t wait to go back next time we are in town.
Great food and service. Having just moved to area, lucky to be near this gem. Been twice this week. Reuben was excellent. My wife had shrimp salad and turkey curry salad. We had pizza at dinner one evening. All excellent. Filled with locals who know!
Moved here from NY 4 years ago and craved some good deli food. They didn't let us down. Great shrimp bisque, loved my roast beef sandwich and my husband was impressed with their Reuben. Kasey is the best dang server we've ever had! We will be back for sure.
I would rate this place as 4 - 4.5 stars, at least. This restaurant has EXCELLENT customer service both for in person and takeout. My server for my first visit recommended heating the Italian Sub I got for better results, and even told me what was included on it so I could make the necessary changes (as someone who dislikes mayonnaise, I greatly appreciated this). The calzone i got for takeout the second time was good, I was able to make an addition of pepperoni to the Cheese Calzone. Beverages and overall atmosphere was good. Dessert selection is large and plentiful. I would personally recommend the Chocolate Mousse Cake, nice and light with a good chocolate flavor. To add to the impressive fact that they make the food themselves, their prices are quite affordable. I will definitely return in some capacity.
A good option for a sandwich in Pensacola. I ordered the small authentic Italian. The sandwich had good flavor, fresh topping, and a good amount of meat. The dressing on the sandwich complemented it well. The sandwich was served with a pickle and Cape Cod Chips. The pickle had an excellent flavor. The chips definitely were a nice upgrade from the standard potato chip options. I would come again, definitely a new stop for me. A large variety of sandwiches to try!
I have visited a few times, and this place is now one of my absolute favorite's. Would recommend to anyone to give this place a try, you will not be disappointed. Absolutely amazing place to eat!!! Fun atmosphere, friendly staff, great service, and amazing food!!!!
I have never left disappointed with what I ordered but if you go and have a hard time choosing ....try the Ruben you cant go wrong. Have only tried the pizzas a couple of times but each time they were fantastic. Staff is always friendly and helpful and service has always been great.
This is one of the funnest and most delicious restaurants I have ever been to. The staff are all exceptionally welcoming, and the food is heavenly. It feels like a restaurant that one wants to be a regular at, not for the attention, but because it just feels nice. And the pizza is absolute bliss.
Love this place! Great pizza, dessert, sandwiches and cold salads! I’ve been eating here for years and it’s one of my favorite places in Pensacola. Staff is helpful and polite every time.
Pizza, pasta, and sandwiches! We started with an order of garlic bread with cheese which was very tasty. We all ordered pasta dishes for our meal which also came with a salad. We tried the manicotti and the lasagna and both were delicious. Our server was attentive and our food was prepared quickly. Outdoor patio with misting fans or casual, indoor dining available.
Pretty good lunch spot. Good prices. Turkey sandwich was very plain not enough mayo. Cheese Pizza was pretty good but just okay nothing too amazing. Calzone was huge. Thought it would have a little more seasoning
For years NYer Deli has been one of my favorite places to eat. Consistent and a great variety for everyone, perfect place when you can't decide what you want for dinner.
Stopped in here while on vacation in Pensacola and it was delicious! Next time we come to town we plan on stopping again! Best corn beef sandwich I’ve ever had and the pizza is delicious!
Ordered for pickup and my pizza was hot and ready when I arrived. Employees very friendly. Toppings were all fresh and plentiful. Problem was the pizza being soggy in the center. 😞
UPDATE 10/12/22: came to try deli sandwiches. “Best Ruben in Town” was very good (I’d like a tad more sauerkraut & thousand island) & the Liverwurst (great). Friendly staff but service a bit slow. So many other interesting menu choices we’ll be back.
THE BEST calzone I have ever had! In house made breading and the meat lovers was unreal good!

Cool little hole in the wall deli. Everything here is phenomenal. Even ran into the owner, who wanted to be sure we had an excellent experience.
Staff was very friendly. I had the Spinach con Queso and garlic bread with cheese to start with, both were amazing! The menu said Best Reuben in Town, so I had to try it and the title was correct. I got it with both corned beef and pastrami and it was absolutely wonderful. My only regret is that I ate too much to try some of the peanut butter pie but I most certainly will be back to try the pizza and the pie!
I'm a big fan of The New Yorker Deli, have been for years. From salads to sandwiches and pizzas to calzones, they have a little bit of everything. Oh, let's not forget the amazing desserts! I ordered the turkey and rice soup and the grilled chicken and strawberry salad. The soup was delicious but it could have been a bit hotter. The salad had a nice amount of chicken and strawberries. They included a poppyseed dressing that I found to be a bit too sweet but I ordered honey mustard dressing and it was perfect!
