I went for the first time after a friend recommended and I will most certainly be back. Food is amazing, staff is friendly and attentive. I cannot believe I have lived so close for so many years and never stumbled upon this place - wonderful!

Good experience but I can’t say I was blown away. I stayed for the 5 course dinner and unfortunately left still hungry. Portions were extremely small. Felt more like I just had a snack every 45 minutes. The staff were extremely pleasant and service was excellent.

Offering a small venue with a visible kitchen. Family run as the owner/chef’s sons were our servers. It’s comfortable, well lit yet soft on the eyes and can get a bit loud. The food was amazing, fresh and creative. As much a pleasure to the eye as it is to your pallet. This experience is a must try. PS. Visit the bathrooms, they’re cool too.

We stumbled upon this place by searching for something else. What a pleasant surprise! It is a little gourmet gem! We brought our favorite wines and let the chef guide us through the world of his outstanding culinary creations. We did a 5 course dinner and enjoyed every single item brought to the table. What an experience! We are very curious about the 8 course dinner and will definitely be back.

Always a delight to dine with this local gem. Great pacing, kind service and a delicious meal altogether. Very accommodating to any dietary needs - always good to communicate these in advance, but they do well on the fly as well, asking thoughtful questions and offering options for your wants/needs. You won't feel like you're missing out even with dietary restrictions.

We had the privilege recently to dine at Maize on a quiet weeknight. Upon arrival, the guests leaving the early seating had smiles on their faces and nothing but positive affirmations about their experience. After experiencing it ourselves, we can attest that the service and food were incredible. Prepared from fresh, local ingredients and with everything being made from scratch, the flavors, textures, and aromas are simply wonderful. Beyond the food and service, Chef Matthew is genuine, down to earth, and extremely welcoming. We enjoyed long conversation into the late night hours with the chef and his son, (probably overstaying our welcome but never feeling like we were imposing) and left with a feeling of gratitude that there are folks like this in our neighborhood who value quality, integrity, and community as much as us. With a history of nearly 15 years, Maize has no doubt had a part in revitalizing Perkasie, helping our local town develop into the hub it's now becoming, with new restaurants, breweries, and other attractions opening regularly. If you haven't yet dined here, do yourself a favor and visit this gem.

Maize is a hidden gem. The food, service, and ambiance have been incredible both times we have been here and have honestly made it our new favorite restaurant. A few other pros: family-owned, BYO, and all fresh, local ingredients. We live about an hour away, and every time we have been here, I google houses in Perkasie to move closer. Also, I have to eat gluten-free, and I am amazed with how well they accommodate to all allergies and dietary restrictions. 20 out of 10.. can’t wait to come back here again.

I forgot to take pictures, but there will definitely be a next time. Small nook restaurant, under 10 tables. I believe its by appointment only. We went for a 5:30 slot, but you can do 6:30 and 7:30 also. Ready for the change up. You don't order. You BYOB. Sit down. Then no more decisions for the rest of your visit, other than do you want coffee/cappuccino/expresso after foods. Everything was fancy food, with alot of names i was never going to remember. But, in my dumbed down version. (I'm gluten free - they made adjustments) 3 course meal $75 each. First came out water. Sparkling or bubbles. We each received a biscuit that was yum, with homemade butter and honey. Popcorn was out next. Drizzled with evoo, salt, paper and parsley. 1st course was 4 grilled shrimp, decent size. On top of this corn, sauce and veggie combo. I'm not a seafood person, and ate all of them. My husband got a rabbit ravioli sent to the table to try. He said it was very good. 2nd course was duck. About 8 peices cut up. It was on top of veggies with 2 different dipping sauces. Done rare. I'm fine with rare 🙂. Again amazing. Dessert was a lava cake with ice cream and something else I cannot think of at the moment. Cappuccino was on point. All and all I would definitely go back. This review is way more wordy than usual. But, this place deserves it. I have to admit, I was a little worried having no idea what your being fed. I'm not really into seafood, and I don't rally want to eat a kangaroo lol. But, I was given things I would have never ordered, and loved them.

We have been going here for several years and have always enjoyed the food, including the buttermilk biscuits. This past weekend we experienced the new format, 8 course tasting menu, which was discounted $30 from the price it will be in November ($85). The popcorn and biscuits are still there. If you have dietary restrictions, you'll need to let them know ahead of time when you make the reservation. They were very accommodating in that regard but without knowing the menu for the evening when we arrived, one course at our table was not eaten by my gf. Since a meal takes over 3 hours now, it does bring some cons to light including the lack of non-water beverages (bring your own iced tea as well?). A bottle of wine does not last 3 hrs. It was well worth the cost at the time but I think $85 exceeds the value of what we experienced.

Dining at Maize is a great experience for the senses. Everything is prepared to perfection and is bursting with flavor. Matt makes tremendous sauces to go with the spectacular food. There is a good vibe in this place.

Fantastic culinary experience right in the heart of Perkasie (!?), who’d of thought… Food is fresh and constantly in rotation, pre fixed menu so you get what they decide to make that day. Found their dishes to be very unique in their incorporation of different flavors, uncommon pairings that I’d have never thought of. Had several first time experiences with a couple different items that were served, always cool and appreciated. Had a pickier eater with us who they were more than willing to accommodate. Service is great, there’s no rush so come with people you want to spend a few hours with because you’ll be here a while! In a good way! Excited to come back.
