Normally I start my reviews with either the overall feeling the establishment gave me or the food, however James or sever was fantastic and wonderful. He was very professional and even though it was close to closing time, he never made us feel rushed. Now for the food. The food was on a different level. Very well prepared and seasoned to perfection. The garlic cheese bread was my favorite appetizer. My main dish was the salmon with creamy Alfredo. I wish it was the cut of fish on top of the bed of fettuccine vs mixed in the dish, however it was ok. The finally was the lavender desert. I've never had a desert like it before. It was executed very well. Two thumbs up to Sugo Trattoria.
Great little Italian place. Buratta was absolutely delicious! Salmon was also very good. We all enjoyed our dishes and the service was great.
My son and I enjoy going to Sugo. The food is excellent and the service is wonderful. It seems like everytime we go we seem to get the same waiter. His name is Kyle. We really enjoy having him wait on us. The last time we went he remembered us. Wow, I said. You remembered us. He even knew what drinks we have ordered in the past.
He is very knowledgeable and explains thoroughly about the menu.
Hope to see you again, Kyle.
Your the best.

Food was fresh and prices were reasonable. Service (Vanessa, I think) & atmosphere were fabulous, too. I can't wait to come back to taste other menu items! Small & local at its best.
We had a delightful lunch. I enjoyed a generous plate of pasta and the burger was impressive. The menu offers a nice selection and the service was attentive.
Cute little Italian place. Had steak and salad so not typical Italian fare. Salad was over dressed but tasty, steak had a good cook on it. The true star of the night though was the chocolate mousse. It was one of the best desserts I have had in a while! I would return here to try pasta and get that dessert again.
Charming small restaurant. Very popular. The food was very good. I had the salmon, which was lovely. It was very crowded and the food was a bit slow. But if you are there for the experience, this won't matter. If it was possible, I would give it 4.5 stars.
The food was uneven. My wife ordered the grilled chicken salad. The chicken was dry and some of the greens were past their freshness date. My grilled steak salad was delicious and the filet perfectly medium rare. Our group shared a few of the bruschetta trios, that were delicious.
Italian restaurant in the cute downtown area of Petaluma. The app portion sizes are very small so either skip or order multiple. I had the kitchen sink salad. It was fantastic!!
Really good Italian restaurant right in downtown Petaluma. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for for a dim light date night option. Food was really good and the staff really friendly. Order a bottle of red wine that also did not disappoint. Had the special of the day which was chicken parm and super recommend!
My seafood risotto was absolutely delicious. I would order again. I also had their small salad. It was seriously under seasoned. I felt like I was just eating lettuce.
Absolutely fantastic pasta and the most incredible chocolate mousse and panna cotta perhaps I have ever had. Great environment and friendly wait staff!

Had a few meals here. Never been disappointed because the food is really good. Wine selection splendid.
Sugo is a many years mainstay! Love everything - bruschetta, pistachio salmon Agridolce, salmon fettuccine, butternut ravioli w/ roasted chicken & wines - excellent! Love this place!
I read Petaluma is the "foodie heaven" and this place confirmed why! Food is fantastic, service is awesome as well, I was lucky to find this gem, sad is not closer to home (Texas)
Great atmosphere.
Great food, delicious and fresh.
Service was on point and attentive.
Clean space.
Mango Mimosa was really good and refreshing.
Entrees and service were excellent but I felt like this place was cutting corners in other ways that make me uncomfortable giving five stars.
The venue was cramped, packed, and extremely loud. The wine was overpriced, with the cheapest glass of local wine at $9. We were only given 3 pieces of bread and olive oil, had to ask for vinegar separately.
None of these things are deal breakers and the pasta was great. But it just felt like corner cutting in a way that made me more satisfied with some other locations in town.
