Every Summer we head to Chandler’s for a fabulous meal and every time we are not disappointed. It’s a wonderful bustling bistro environment with guests enjoying themselves. Excellent wine list and exceptional bartenders mixing up creative cocktails. This place is a must when visiting Petoskey. Kudos!
What a great place, with an eclectic but delicious menu. (Many places have eclectic menus, but usually it's a warning that nothing is great — Not so here!) All things we tried — charcuterie board, tomato soup, tuna poke, whitefish sandwich, and street tacos — were delicious! Service was good. Sat outside and enjoyed ourselves! Also note that you can choose a bottle of wine from Sydmonton's (across the patio) and have it served with your meal. This opens a LOT of wine possibilities!
I came here for the first time in between meetings. The service was Outstanding! I was greeted with a smile and given the option to eat at the bar, table, or outside on the patio. I ordered Taylor’s Hash, and it arrived quickly.
Perfect temperature, texture, and eye appeal. It’s a very flavorful and filling dish, at a reasonable price. I will definitely come back to try more of what Chandler’s has to offer!
We have spent years in the area and this is our favorite restaurant in Petoskey! Sit at the upscale feeling bar and watch the gourmet cooking. Prices are great for lunch. Pricier for dinner but so worth it. White table cloths with a snappy casual feel. Wait staff is very professional. Bartenders pour a great drink.
Super cute you can dine inside or outside, love brunch menu on the weekend. The staff has always been nice and helpful and the food is always been great. We will definitely be going back and would definitely recommend it to a friend.
It was very nice. Expensive but delicious and it was nice having an expensive meal that had good sized portions. Wait staff was kind and courteous. It had sort of an old wine cellar look. Which was neat.
Amazing cuisine; perfect patio seating, and attentive wait staff.

Really beautiful patio and delicious food. Wine list is extensive. Enjoyed every minute.
We had a group of six for happy hour. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed a lovely fall afternoon. Drinks and food were great but our server, Renee, made it a truly fun experience. She was spot on with her recommendations, service and had such a fun personality that I hope she's there the next time we go!!!
We had a fabulous experience. Michael was polite and a pleasure to chat with. Our food was divine. Thank you for the memorable night!!!
Service was good, experienced a shift change in between lunch and dinner, that was slightly odd, but understandable. Got charged 2/3 the price of a drink we returned cause it was too strong, even though we only had a sip or two, that felt somewhat unfair, only place that's done that. The atmosphere inside was mediocre, kinda stuffy, outside might've been the better choice. Artwork hung was pristine, high quality oil paintings, seems like the money goes into that more so than anything in terms of atmosphere inside.
We chose Chandler’s for our 15th wedding anniversary dinner and it was fantastic. We were seated in the cellar with a great view of the entire dining area and had exceptional food and service. Great evening and Chandler’s helped make it very special for us. Thank You!!
What a treat! All our dishes were memorable and the presentation beautiful. I learned this is a family owned and operated institution. Our young college waiter was a family member. We ate in the charming wine cellar dining room surrounded by wine on all the walls. This great ambiance and intimacy added to our delicious meal prompting sparking spirited conversation. Few dinners can be pulled up in memories for years to come . Chandlers sets the stage for making a very memorable evening.
First time in Petoskey and our host recommend this place when we asked for sushi place. They don't have a lot of sushi around here and some of them were closed permanent :(
They are very dog friendly! The service was good from the very beginning with the host and the server.
The food for me it was just okay, the spicy tuna was so small, I could eat 2 of them in the same time...but I didn't no worries lol. I also get lettuce tuna wrap, which I really don't know how to explain about this dish. It's a little wired, not a very good fusion food. Felt like it's missing so many thing, but unfortunately, I don't know what it's missing. The portion was a little small and I think they can do better on the presentation as well.
My husband got the cheese board and wine. he said it's sooo good, he was very happy with his choices! The lady who was our server explained each of everything very well, impressed! I tried some of it and I would say, everything was great even strawberries.
Delicious food and super smooth gin (Hendricks) in my gin and roses drink! Great service from our server too.
This is the perfect spot for a nice date night. The atmosphere is great. Quiet but not too fancy. Jeans are acceptable. Very small and quaint, so if you are not getting there for an early dinner, I would recommend making a reservation. Service was pretty good. Not great, not bad, but nothing special. Drinks are poured heavy for sure. I only needed one long Island to get me spinning a little. Usually it takes a few of those! Food was phenomenal, but prices are a bit high still. My filet was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The bread they bring you is good. The pork tacos with the pineapple jalapeño salsa are phenomenal. I would go back and get those for lunch anytime! The Crème Brûlée was good, but not what my wife makes. Hers can't be beat.
So, expect a GREAT meal here, but also to spend 150$ minimum if you're on a date and both have a drink.
I went to Chandler's for brunch before a wedding in Petoskey. We sat just inside the door at a table in the corner. The table was far too close to the wall to be comfortable but we weren't able to move the tables nor the table itself to make more room even though the restaurant wasn't very full.
Our server was very friendly and welcomed us in. They were quick in taking our order and bringing our food when it was ready. The food was pretty good but there was a lot of variation between dishes. I had the Breakfast Tostada which was flavorful and covered the plate. My partner had the Taylor's Hash which looked very simple and did not leave them full.
Overall this was a nice spot for a good brunch and I would be interested in trying their dinner options next time.
Love this place. Such a wonderful experience. Penny was our server, and she is such a pleasure. The food was spectacular. So glad we stumbled on this place. Having elevated food was absolutely worth it. I had the vegetable salad, with grilled chicken. Just lovely. The chicken sandwich was delicious too! Everyone loved what they got. Would definitely recommend!!!!
Beef tip tacos were in special for lunch, but their version of a Reuben was our favorite. A tall sandwich, but constructed so well that none of the insides fell out while eating it or cutting it into quarters. The dipping sauce that comes with it is excellent! Also tried the bourbon bath martini and it was excellent. Make sure you stop next door to their wine cellar and general store, such a cool place!
I will start by saying you definitely should put in a reservation as it is a smaller place. It's tucked in what seems to be an alley with old wooden decor. But don't let that fool you as the food is absolutely amazing. We ordered the red wine braised Colorado lamb shank and halibut. Both dishes were delicious. Definitely one of the best lamb shanks I've had. Paul was a great taking care of us and knew both the food menu and the wine list very well.
