Friendly staff. They move FAST through the morning line. Vegan breakfast and pastry options, including donuts and cinnamon roll. Cinnamon roll was pretty good - 3/5. Latte was also pretty good - 3/5.
This place is constantly busy, and the croissant was excellent. It has rich coffee. I adore the taste; the richness wafts from the moment you walk in. It's a fantastic spot for informal conversations, but I wouldn't advise working here for two reasons: first, there isn't free WiFi, and second, it's usually too busy. Still, if you can manage that, then go ahead and do it. Every morning, the bakery food is freshly prepared; yet, it is served room temperature since the bakery items are not reheated. I had their Hazelnut Oat Latte during the seasonal offer, and it was excellent. Though I wish it were larger, it will do since consuming too much coffee is not recommended.
Nice, airy space right across from City Hall and Dilworth Park. Tasty, well made handcrafted coffees. And they have a self-serve area with a variety of sweeteners and dairy/non-dairy carafes so you can fine tune your coffee as desired
La Colombe never disappoints! Great tasting coffee & an awesome customer service. It is a shame that center Philly is not what it used to be, the area no longer feels safe. I hope they don't close this location (like many other Philly businesses did due to safety concerns).
Got a pour over again and again, wonderful. Also bought a vanilla doughnut. Dang this thing was great, fairly light, perfect texture, and subtle hints of vanilla.
Great coffee and pastries. I love the draft lattes. The store always has people coming in and out and there’s always a place to sit most of the time. Staff are always helpful. This is one of my favorite coffee shops to meet with friends and catch up.
I always need a coffee fix and this was right across from city hall. I enjoyed my coffee and the service was great. The shop was right near where I stayed so I stopped here twice while in Philadelphia.
Loved the vibe the fact to eating in front of city hall. I had a cortado with almond milk, which was good, high-quality coffee and an almond croissant that was delicious
Quick service, good coffee, but they don’t seem to know that boiling hot milk is too hot to drink and will actually burn your tongue. Please make sure your latte is mouth-friendly! That being said, 20 minutes later, the best-tasting latte so far in town!
Some of the best coffee I’ve had, so good I didn’t want to spoil with sugar!
Kind and friendly staff that take time and care to each customer, and the cafe has a cosy feel to it with a nice atmosphere. Nice views of the city hall square nearby from the front, too!
Popular with the local business workers and people passing by, such as myself.
Coffee and sweet treats well priced compared with the big name competitors, so I’d favour this place over the Starbucks across the street! You should too 🙂
