The best and most authentic Greek food in town. Period!! Always the "go to" place for bdays and celebrations. Never disappoints. The owners are very friendly and so is their wait staff. I highly recommend Zorbas!!
The best food in Fairmount. Everything on the menu is excellent! Owned and operated by an authentic Greek family.
Loved the food !! Imam Baldi was fantastic as was the cold combo appetizer !! My son and fiancee just moved to the neighborhood and Zorbas is now "our " number one spot for great food. Being able to sit outside and eat was so lovely and that they deliver is a super plus !
Tender lamb, fresh Greek salad, excellent iced coffee, and baklava to die for. Not to mention prompt, courteous service.

My brother and I stumbled across this place on our way to terror behind the walls. For starters we had the grilled Octopus, and Hummus. The octopus was AMAZING! It was so tender that we actually thought it was chicken breast! The pitas and hummus we also amazing. Everything was fresh and seasoned well.
For our entrées we both had the lamb and beef gyros. The plate came with several pieces of sliced beef and lamb. Seasoned very well. It also came with rice, deliciously tender veggies and a tasty tatziki sauce. The plate was big enough that I could share with my 1 and 3 year old.
I will definitely be back in the near future. This was a great find!

The food was excellent!! The service was wonderful! One fault, the excellent food wasn't hot.. Luke warm.. We were a party of 9.. We will return..!
Awesome service fast food service and the food was great!
Amazing food and service. Everything is delicious here. Truly. I am never disappointed. The cold and hot appetizer samplers are so amazing. The octopus melts in your mouth. The chargrilled dinner sampler for one gives you a taste of a lot of different dishes. Reservations are a good idea as it isn't the biggest of places. Parking is convenient in a paid lot right across the street.
A must stop when in Philadelphia. 2nd time there and enjoyed it just as much as 1st time.
I had the cold sampler with warm pita, and chicken souvlaki with the Greek salad on the side. It was delicious and fresh, a perfect summer meal.
I love everything about this place. The food is absolutely phenomenal. It's a must go to in Fairmount!
It's hard to find traditional Greek food that is consistently delicious. Top that with friendly service and very reasonable prices and you have a neighborhood gem of a byob!
You cant beat the food or the friendly service.
No better Greek food in the city.
The most authentic and wonderful Greek food, not only in Philadelphia, but outside of Greece. The staff are the most wonderful and accommodating people you could ever meet.
Definitely a place to stop at while in philly! It's walking distance from the eastern state penitentiary and has one of the best gyros I've ever had! Great service! Tiny, quiet dining area, food was served fast and tasted so delicious. We had a very enjoyable experience!
Always delicious, best food, and the best restaurant owners and staff that you could ask for! You guys are the best!!!
Excellent experience all around. Talented chefs, hospitable and experienced wait staff, speedy service, fair prices. Literally zero complaints!
I went with a large party for a birthday and didn't have an opportunity to snap photos, but I'll definitely be returning to add a follow-up.
Dishes: cold appetizer sampler, kalamari, octopus, pita, lamb.
Take: Everything was amazing, but the cold appetizer sampler was the star of the show in my book. Every dish on the sampler was uniquely delicious and the pita that was served with it was hot and tasted fresh out of the oven. I can't wait to go back!
Follow up: 2/2 great experience. Love the consistency.
Visited this charming Greek tavern and was truly impressed! The food was exceptional, with the giro being noteworthy. What stood out even more were the cold appetizers - they were simply amazing and tasty. To top it off, the authentic music played in the background added a delightful touch, elevating the entire dining experience. Highly recommend for a genuine taste of Greece!
Zorba's menu is like a hug from the inside out. Many of the entrees are rich and hearty. Portions are quite large, too! It's very much a neighborhood-family-restaurant that fits the vibes/demographic of Fairmount. There's one particular staff member that typically works the window that makes me laugh every night we pickup dinner.
I really like their mixture of outdoor and indoor seating. Outdoor tables are small, but good for intimate or familial meals.
Saganaki with fire! Yes, please. After going to the museum for pay what you wish Fridays, we stopped in to Korbas for a late week birthday dinner and really enjoyed our Greek feast. BYOB, great service, intimate ambiance, and food that will make your belly smile.
We ordered the Saganaki and dip sampler and since we had 4 of us, we opted to order more dolmas. The pita was outstanding and all the dips fed us four with some to take home the next day. Desserts were baklava and kataifi were very large portions and a little too sweet for me, but enjoyed it.
The star was definitely the dips and the pita. The dips were spicy feta, eggplant, caviar, hummus, tzatziki, and potato lemon. My least favorite was my dish, the octopus. It was drenched in oil and a bit over cooked for my liking but that’s just a matter of preference. We didn’t take wine with us so we ordered a glass of their Greek wine which my advice would be to pass. Overall, the service was great start to finish and we were able to find parking pretty quickly on a Friday night at 8.
Beautiful restaurant, friendly staff, and some of the best Greek food I’ve ever had in the states or probably in Greece. It was insanely good and I’d for sure recommend it.
I give it Zorba’s Tavern 5 stars! The food was wonderful, affordable and outstanding service. They didn’t rush us out, spending 3 hours with good friends. It’s a cozy place and a BYOb. Here are photos of our delicious grilled meats, lamb and beef meat balls, and dessert! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in a cozy, casual, neighborhood restaurant. Zorba’s is outstanding! God bless.
The food is absolutely fantastic at Zorba's. You will not be disappointed with your choice to dine in this fine establishment. The salmon was very flavorful and the fries were tastily different. The baklava is divine! The staff was very friendly and it's a nice intimate space. I will surely return!
A great Greek experience. Can't go wrong with the bronzini. The fish is grilled to perfection with a very aromatic rub that makes the crispy skin a delight.
They now have a great selection of Greek wines including a retsina.
Zorba’s Tavern is my favorite Greek restaurant in Philadelphia and one of my overall favorite restaurants in the entire city. I have been here countless times, eating both indoors and outdoors. The ambiance is very warm and cozy, with lovely accents of Greek culture. The food is outstanding and the servers are always very kind and welcoming. The portions are very generous and the flavor is always worth the price. If you cannot decide on what to order, my personal favorites and recommendations are: the grilled octopus (best dish in the restaurant) and the cold spread sampler for appetizers, and then the grilled sampler for one and the saganaki cheese (which is lit on fire in the middle of the restaurant, creating a spectacle for everyone to enjoy) for entrees. If you are in the Fairmount neighborhood of the city or are just looking for some fantastic Greek food, please check out Zorba’s Tavern!
We had gone for an early dinner and everything was great! Henry, our server, was so very nice and answered my many questions with a smile. We had complimentary bread and delicious olive oil for dipping. We opted for the sampler cold platter with a mixture of hummus, feta, grape leaves, eggplant served with pita. My son's lamb with artichokes was incredibly tender. My marinated grilled chicken was delicious and my husband had the sampler which had a bit of everything, lamb, pork, sausage and chicken. All dinners were served with rice and vegetables. The restaurant is very nice, the food, more than generous portions, served hot and very good. Thank you for a most enjoyable evening!
Very good Greek restaurant! I give it four stars because my standards for Greek food are unfairly high since I have experienced the real thing in Greece many times. But Zorba’s is a great family owned restaurant. The ambiant is cozy and the food is definitely traditional and rustic! I typically order mezze dips, saganaki, grilled octopus, and an entre of my choice. They make fanstastic lamb leg and lamb shank. But to tell you the truth, my favorite items here were the homemade desserts. The baklava and galaktoboureko (milk pie) were fantastic. They taste very similar to how my mother makes them! All in all, highly recommended!
Probably my new go to “fancy” spot. A cute, classic style restaurant with rich family history. Came here with my dad after exploring the nearby art museum. He got the shrimp dinner and I the calamari! It was the perfect amount of food for both of us and we left feeling satisfied and not weighed down. I can’t wait to go back and try more! We slipped in right before it got too busy but I would recommend making a reservation since they’re busy!
Wonderful Greek food and a comfortable outdoor seating option to enjoy a perfect fall day in the early afternoon. I thought the Greek sausage gyro was excellent and the rice pudding was as good as my Greek mother's. I'll be going back soon.
Great neighborhood spot for Greek food. Friendly staff. Helpful and took care of us. Excellent grilled meat items. The sampler of cold dips was delicious. Wonderful bread as well. Definitely worth a visit.
This place is totally delicious. The service is great and if you're looking for classic Greek food it's a great stop. We ate outside so can't comment on inside ambience, but the sidewalk tables are cute!
Beautiful, inviting and cozy restaurant. We were greeted outside with a smile and brought to our table. The waitstaff were great and very attentive, food quality was fantastic, everything was fresh and bursting with flavor.
We had the dip sampler and a chicken platter, lunch portions were perfect, two of us split it and didn't have to worry about carrying leftovers around town. It was just under $30 for both, very reasonable for the quality of food you receive, especially in a downtown area.
The garlic dips and eggplant dip were probably my favorite, you REALLY need to be a fan of garlic for that dip but if you are, you'll be happy.
The restrooms are a little small but well kept. Overall the restaurant was clean and tidy. Highly suggest you check it out.
Authentic Greek food in Philly 💙 you know it’s good when the food takes a bit to come out. Their appetizers are so good. I have no complaints. Also, I love feta. Greek food is supreme. Also outdoor dining! I would come here again and again.
We had a full spread from here, gyros platter, (and things I can't pronounce, dolamatas, etc)
Amazing food, wonderful desert.
Sedavia was a great server.
