Stayed on Market St...so many choices to dine!
The Love was the best choice during our 5 day stay.
Atmosphere and server were so personal.
We started out with the cheese platter and wine. Delicious!
Our selection meal was new to the menu, we ordered ribs, corn bread with Tabasco butter and a side of sweet pea pods in carrot sauce topped with fine bread crumbs!
Unbelievably amazing! Kudos to the chef!
The Love is a must dine while in Philly!
awesome amazing food knocked me out of the water cannot wait to go back !! great place ! GO TRY IT!!! brunch was one of the top 3 all time best i have had in philly!
The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. The menu is very interesting and you will have to make some tough decisions. The perogies with the caviar were delicious and the crispy duck salad was wonderful! I love the ambiance and decor! It’s a great place for a date or perfect if you want to grab a few cocktails and a lite bite at the bar. Highly recommend that you visit!!
We’ve been to lots of restaurants in center city. Rarely do we go back to the same place in a matter of a few weeks. The Love was that good. Had a chicken and grits dish here on the menu that was just wonderful. Usually you expect the service to be so so in new places. There service was very very good. Few Start restaurants are know for food , The Love is an exception I was working in India for several weeks. My first night back again we went to The Love.
The food was very good. They have a variety of appetizers and the portions are a nice size to share.
The service was great and the music was hip. Definitely will recommend to all my friends and family. Nice new spot for me and the hubby and a girls nite out!
We LOVED the Love! Special attention by the entire staff- but an honorable mention to our waitress Carol- cheerful and delightful. My husband and I both had one of the best meals we have ever eaten- we will definitely be returning. Pleasant experience!
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes to dine out. The food was amazing, great customer service and the location is perfect.
Highly creative and beautifully realized cuisine in a very attractive space. The service is top notch and their sensitivity to food allergies is highly appreciated.
A fantastic experience ! The food was incredible. I had an acorn squash pomadoro and would have had 5 more if I could. The cocktails were even better and the desserts were the best part of the entire meal. We are from New Jersey and would come here every night for dinner if we could. The service was so inviting. Incredible experience!
I had an amazing time with two amazing friends after the Flower Show. Excellent Service & Excellent food choices & wine. ❤️🍷. Highly recommend
Was just there yesterday!! Service was over the top. Everyone from the greeters, managers, servers and food runners were extremely mindful of each others customers - the food presentation was beautiful and delicious! Can’t wait to visit again!
Absolutely amazing! We're in town for a conference and first stumbled upon this fantastic place jetlagged after a long journey from Australia. Was so impressed that we returned two days later for dinner again. Same fantastic food and genuine service. I think Giovanni might even start to understand our Australian accent :-)! We'll be back at least once before returning to Australia for sure! Keep that rose chilled Giovanni!

Outstanding! We had a birthday party in a room upstairs. It was a great time, great space and great food!
Our third visit to Olexy/Star’s newest gem; and we live next door to the two better known.
Each meal is better than the previous serving, which were excellent.
Run to The Love, at least once every season. Enjoy the service, the beautiful people and the FOOD !
Nothing short of Superlative!
I was in town for a conference and I decided to celebrate afterwards, just casually—and we decided on The Love.
This place is amazing, cozy atmosphere, great lighting, and just pleasant views. The staff was very friendly and generous. But let’s get to the food!
I had the buttermilk chicken, such a large portion, and tastes like MONEY! It fried to perfection, it juicy, and Fresh. The greens were so good—subtly sweet and a hint of vinegar. The grits were a great addition with the jalapeño slices.
My mom had the Short Rib pasta and it blew my mind when I tasted it. It was spectacular, every bite was perfection.
The Cornbread with whipped butter—needs no description, just order it and enjoy!
The Dessert…OMG (Don’t skip dessert) I had the Tiramisu in a cup and she had the Rhubarb pie with buttermilk ice cream. Your going to want that ice cream to come in a 12oz. So rich and creamy, it paired so well the pie. The tiramisu was the best I ever had!!! Order coffee with it, and thank me later.
The cocktails are ok, the Frozen Margarita was better than my Aperol Sprits like drink.
The bottom line is this place knocked my socks off!
Located close to Rittenhouse Square, The Love is pumping out works of food art. Blending complementary flavors with stunning visual plating, every dish is delicious and almost too pretty to eat. The stars of the show were the Take Me Away - Nashville fried chicken, the hush puppies, green salad and the burrata. You can see why this is a popular place. The service was good and waiter kind and prompt. A must try! We will be back!
We had a reservation for 8:45 but it was so crowded that we had to wait an extra 20 minutes. The hostest was very good at keeping us abreast of our wait time. There was nowhere to sit and wait, so we had to stand by an active elevator where this rude person in a white skirt kept acting like we were in the way when we had no choice. However, after we were seated, we enjoyed the food, and the service was excellent. The shrimp and scallops seared were perfect with the spaghetti. The garlic rub cornbread is great also. Try the fried green tomatoes. Hmm.
Our first experience at this wonderful little restaurant...we made a reservation on line and we were pleasantly surprised that we were seated exactly at the time we reserved for lunch on Saturday...we were hoping to sit outside but we loved the table we were seated at inside on the first floor...the service was incredible...the restaurant was very clean...and the food was memorably delicious...we started out with the Southern Hush Puppies and we ordered the Sausage and Biscuits, Rodeo Burger and Chicken Caesar Salad...all dishes were beautifully plated and were amazingly delicious. It was a lovely adventure in Philadelphia and Rittenhouse Square...Thank You to The Love. and Staff! We'll be back and we will be sending all our friends and family your way!
My first experience here was incredible. I used to work for the head chef and I was so excited to check out this spot. All of the food was absolutely delicious. Reminiscent of Talula's Garden, but not as complex. We were treated like family and the serving staff and kitchen staff went above and beyond to make sure I was happy for my birthday celebration. I would definitely go back here and would recommend this spot to everyone!
Excellent food. Great service. Can feel slightly cramped in the small space but it's almost a NYC like cozy feel.
Everything tasted great. The burrata was excellent, along with the fried cauliflower.
My "love bird" entree was a near perfect fried chicken. The beef Rigatoni was also really good. We barely had space for dessert but were glad we got the C for cookie.
Overall, great.
We loved, The Love. We ordered two delicious drinks from their lunch menu, the real peach - fresh, a splash of ginger, just right. The broken arrow has an awesome slight kick with the chili powdered rim that completes it, great combo. We had the burrata and the cast iron baked rolls, both truly delicious. For dishes we had the shrimp and grits, it's pretty amazing with the charred shishito peppers, yum. I also ordered the healthy salmon bowl, which seems to be a favorite as I noticed many ordered the same; it didn't disappoint. The portions were decent. Our waiter was pleasant and attentive, would definitely recommend!
I absolutely loved the shrimp and scallops 'Cacio e Pepe'! The combination of flavors and textures was a delightful surprise. And the crispy branzino was the perfect balance of crispy goodness on the outside and tender, flavorful fish on the inside. Gonna go back to try different kind of food
Awesome atmosphere, great service, staff was super pleasant. The chicken was fried perfectly, and let me not talk about the sauce that is paired with the chicken, simply tasty😋. My sides were collard greens, and grits, and let jets say, they were different from what I'm used to in the south, so I'll reserve my comment on them because it'll be biased. Overall, it was worth the experience.
Also, let me not forget. The drinks were really good.
Joined some family for a celebration today in Philadelphia. And my wife has been wanting to try this upscale eclectic restaurant as she heard it was great. She is always right!
Our server Lianna was amazing! She knew the menue well and made some great apps and meals suggestions. We started with Chesse board, Risotto, and truffle oil, followed by the Tuna crudo. each was excellent. I prefer larger portions but the food was so good!. Some of the table went with some of the specialty drinks they looked good.
For dinner, I and three others went with the highly suggested pork chop, wife and daughter went with the salmon, and one rigatoni and short ribs. all was so delicious.
Wife made a great choice for dinner tonight!
And the desserts were simply amazing!
I’ve been here a few times and every time it’s amazing. The risotto is an amazing appetizer, the shrimp and scallops is delicious, and the cucumber salad is so refreshing. The staff is wonderful and pleasant and I will always find myself returning when I’m in Philly, it’s definitely one of my favorite spots!!
We chose The Love to celebrate dinner for a special anniversary and from the moment we walked in the experience was terrific. The atmosphere and vibe were exactly what we enjoy when we dine out. We were seated at a nice table and were brought a complementary glass of champagne (we had indicated on the reservation that it was our anniversary) Our server was very nice and welcoming and didn't rush us to order. She gave us some food and wine suggestions and their wine sommelier came over with the white wine we selected. For appetizers we had the beet salad which had great flavor and was a nice portion and we also shared the tuna crudo which was plated very nicely and also great flavor. For entrees we both had the Shrimp and Scallop Cacio e Pepe, 3 perfectly seared scallops and 3 shrimp we a side of slightly spicy pasta. It was also outstanding. We finished with a tira misu and coffee and a little extra dessert that was brought to our table. We enjoyed the food and the dining experience and we will be returning again !
This place is wonderful.
From friendly greetings right when you enter to the servers and farewells. We had came with a reservation and had a very short wait. Here to celebrate our anniversary they were all very sweet congratulating us all throughout our meal.
The restaurant itself had very aesthetically pleasing decor and was very clean.
The food was the best part! Food was fantastic. I’m from the south, and those hush puppies were excellent! The pancakes, the candied bacon, and the shrimp and grits were so delicious. We loved the vanilla lattes as well! It wasn’t strong enough, but the flavor was very creamy and enjoyable. We were already planning on returning and setting up some brunch dates with our friends.
Overall, we had a great experience with Instagram worthy food pics and a spectacular memory.
My wife and I went to The Love to celebrate our anniversary. It was a great choice. It was a perfect night so we asked for a table outside. The staff knew we were celebrating a special occasion so they started us off with 2 glasses of complimentary sparkling wine. For starters my wife had the beet salad and I ordered the Black Truffle risotto. For entrees we ordered their specialty fried chicken and I had the short ribs with rigatoni. We split a desert of chocolate cake with gelato. I have to say that our whole meal was delicious and the portions were huge and we ended up taking some food home. Combined with the friendly first class service they provided this place definitely deserves 5 stars!
Late lunch here on a Sunday. Food and drink was very good. Attentive service. Not an inexpensive place to eat. Make sure you have a reservation.
Fantastic little place in Center City.
Sat us about an hour before closing and gave us as much time as we needed
Food came out fast and was plentiful, almost too much even! I had the short rib risotto, and the C is for Cookie for desert.
I didn't like the cocktail I had (the jungle one) but that was probably just me, my friend loved his.
Would definitely come back to try the rest of the menu
The Love truly embodies its name… the ambiance, friendly staff, and tasty foods make it my favorite in Philly. I took my wife for lunch. She’s a good critic, but couldn’t get enough of the foods we ordered. We started with the Cornbread and Cheeseboard for starters. I had shrimp and grits while my wife had risotto for main course. I can’t emphasize this enough, they were the best! I highly recommend this place. In case you’re not sure about what to order, ask for Trey. He knows everything on the menu and is very patient when guiding you thru the menu.
This is a nice inconspicuous gem in Center City! The Love has exactly what you are looking for.. service, food, atmosphere are all on point. The kale salad and salmon were *chef's kiss* Our server was very attentive and friendly and ensured we all stayed hydrated. We were here for a luncheon and had a private room upstairs so it is available for intimate events.
