Excellent food and service. Also, a great variety of tequilas. A must for those in Philadelphia. (The only thing I would recommend is that you should also pisco sours to the menu. That will sell great now in the summer).

This place is great! Tidy and artistic interior, friendly wait staff, delicious food! The tortilla soup is a MUST! The food felt lovingly made - attention to detail in the presentation and excellent flavor. Can't wait to go back.

The service was awesome. We had the nachos as well as the fish tacos, they were out of this world, so fresh! I also had a berry margarita and a Bellini, delicious! We're already planning our next trip back.

This is a small place that only takes cash but there is great service here and quality food. I ordered an appetizer for the table of brisket tortas, which were tender and flavorful then I got the blue tacos. They are pork, pineapple, onion, green pepper and cilantro. Maybe a little too much pepper and cilantro for some but I liked it and their salsa had some heat and was flavorful. I also got the beans and rice which were very good.

Not a bad experience. We ordered chicken flautas, carnitas and cabeza tacos. I didn’t think the tacos were outstanding, they were a bit on the drier side. The carnitas and the cabeza meat itself were good. If you add guac and some salsa on them, they taste a lot better. So it’s a matter of what you add on the tacos. All in all, a pretty decent experience. Great staff, btw!

I don't think there are enough good things I can say about Blue Corn! The drinks were great and the food was simply amazing. We started with the Ofrenda de los Dioses as an appetizer since it was something we hadn't seen before on other menus and it did not disappoint! We also got three different types of tacos to share (tripe, cabeza (beef cheek), and a special for the day of soft shell crab. I can honestly say I've never really cared much for tripe (usually because of the texture), but those tripe tacos are truly something special and are the best tacos I've ever had anywhere! The tripe tacos melt in your mouth and are seasoned to perfection. I can't wait to return and try more!

Visiting Philly and was told to try this in the Italian district. Food came extremely fast, tacos are def the move (burrito was good but could’ve involved more spices/seasoning), good fries, great atmosphere, and would go back! Either bring cash or card for their ATM if dine in

The worst part about this place is that I can't go every day. I've never had better tripa and every cocktail is perfect. Literally wishing I were there right now.

The carnitas burrito was one of the best I’ve ever had! It was very fresh and tasty. I give it a 5/5. Blue Corn used peas and carrots and the rice and they added some nice flavor.

We arrived and found that it's only cash. They really only speak Spanish here. Took over 30 minutes to get our food. Atmosphere is alright. Normal hard chairs. Food was amazing and big portion sandwich. The Cuban and ham amd cheese are pictured

Cute spot in the Italian market! Good food, friendly staff, fast service. Went for breakfast with my sister. I got French toast stuffed with cajeta (sweetened caramelized goats milk) and platanos and my sister got the green chilaquiles. We each had the Mexican coffee which was my favorite. Everyone's food around us look delicious. Definitely going back for dinner!

Chiles en nogada was a special dish when we visited and we both had it for the first time. After delicious guac and crisp blue tortillas our entrees arrived. Beautifully presented and fresh ingredients made this a hit with both of us. Highly recommend. I had a draft beer and my wife had a glass of Pinot grigio. Service was great, we were checked on by multiple servers but not smothered and they were all friendly and helpful. Also the restroom was immaculate.

I’ve come here for lunch a handful of times in the summer but recently booked a reservation for 16 on a Friday night for my birthday and the service was excellent. They brought out the cake and sang happy birthday and it was a great, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone in the Italian market area.

My girlfriend thinks this is the best food we’ve ever had in Philadephia. I think it might be the best food I’ve ever had at all. She had a fish special with fried plantains on the side, the fried plantains were delicious and the fish was prepared beautifully. I had the Tampiqueña and it was truly the most well composed plate I’ve ever experienced. The mole sauce and guacamole were perfectly balanced to complement the filet mignon. The steak was a gorgeous medium rare that was juicy and well seared. They were kind and accommodating of my girlfriend’s mobility issue due to her injury. This restaurant is cash-only and definitely on the more expensive side of Mexican food (drinks, appetizer, entrees and dessert were around $130,) but for the best Mexican food I’ve had since growing up in California, it will be worth it every time.

A neighborhood gem serving authentic and delicious Mexican food. The staff is very professional and friendly. We had their catering service a few times and they never disappoint. Excellent delivery service, impressive presentation of food and of course, always delicious and quantity is more than adequate.

I had an excellent experience dining at Blue Corn. The service was good, fast and very professional. We tried an array of dishes, that all came at the same time. The blue corn tacos and the tacos pibil were flavorful and complex, maybe missing a bit of salt but that's the only fault I can find. Their prices are very good for the quality of food they are offering and I would surely visit again to try more from their menu.

9/22/22 went here for our anniversary dinner, and as always, the food and service was perfect. We shared the mini tacos special and they were delicious! One was refried beans, one was potato, one was chicken and one pork. I had the sabana, which is a thin steak with refried beans and cheese. My husband had the shrimp and we shared dessert. Everything was perfect. I always said they should bottle their tamarind margherita, it's so very good. I highly recommend Blue Corn, it's truly one of my favorite restaurants. Thank you for your really good food! 11/15/21 update. Went for an impromptu dinner and everything was wonderful from our server, to our drinks, to our dinner. The food is made to order, presented beautifully and is delicious! Thank you! We went on Christmas Eve, early afternoon, and sat outside. The food is just as good as it always has been. Safety protocols are being followed and our servers were really nice. I have not found a tamarind margarita as good as Blue Corns. It's absolutely delicious! My husband had the lamb special, my son the sabana, my daughter the ceviche and I had the blue taco's. Delicious and presented beautifully! Thank you, Blue Corn, for our delicious meal! 12/26/20 We recently went to Blue Corn to celebrate our daughter's birthday. I have to say the bartender makes really flavorful cocktails. I had the tamarind Margherita, and it was awesome. We now have to add Blue Corn as a place to get delicious chicken nachos. They were so very good! I had the Sabana, which is a thin, flavorful steak, my daughter had the Cubano, which could literally feed 3 to 4 people...the sandwich was awesome. My husband had the steak special, the ribeye and plantains were cooked to perfection. As always, the place is clean, the servers so very nice and we love it here. My son asked for an authentic Mexican restaurant that we could walk to and we opted for the Blue Corn. It was an excellent choice. It's a warm, clean, friendly restaurant with attentive servers and delicious food. Like their name, their chips, tacos, Huaraches are made of blue corn. My son had the Huaraches, which is an oval shaped tortilla with your choice of topping. he chose the chorizo. I had the tacos pastor which is pineapple and pork. We were given chips and salsa while we waited for our food. Delicious! Our food arrived beautifully presented and hot, which means it was freshly made and it was delicious! I opted for dessert and had a piece of cheesecake which was also homemade and delicious! We can now add Blue Corn to one of our favorite Mexican restaurants!

This was the best authentic Mexican food that I have had the pleasure of eating, since I moved to Philly almost 2 years ago. Our server Armando explained all of the specialties thoroughly, adjusted annuity questions that we had and made sure that we had everything that we needed. The staff made sure that our table was cleared as soon as we emptied a plate. I really enjoyed having my bachelorette dinner at this restaurant. I would highly recommend this place.

Blue Corn offers a wide-range of authentic Mexican food ranging from ceviche to tacos to burritos to so much more. The food is meticulously prepared and quite tasty. The restaurant is accommodating if special dietary issues. The service is efficient, helpful, and warm. Regarding the atmosphere, I can only speak about their small outdoor dining area. It's an average, covered area with several two-top and four-top tables. Blue Corn also serves a variety of bar drinks including flavored, refreshing Margaritas. Located in the 9th Street (Italian) Market, Blue Corn is open for lunch and dinner. It's an excellent choice for Mexican food and drink in Philly. I'll be going back.
