Pleasantly surprised by food and atmosphere, in an old warehouse, the recent renovations work perfectly with the atmosphere. The service was good, servers are very interactive. Food options are not what you'd see on a regular Philadelphia menu, I would recommend everything we got, very much fusion food well done. We got EVERY dessert on the menu, we couldn't eat it all at the time, but I grazed on it for two days. We got Relleno de Papa, steak and peppers, cod escovitch, and from all the deserts I'd recommend the coco cheesecake flan if you choose one.
We went here as a large party last night and I have to be honest, I was nervous walking in as it was EMPTY at prime dinner time on a Saturday night. Well everything from start to finish was great. My husband and I split the Nashville chicken and fried fish were both perfectly fried and that dill sauce with the chicken was everything. The deviled eggs were so smoky and flavorful. Everyone else in our party enjoyed their meals as well. The view is gorgeous, ambiance is great. All around it is a good spot that maybe hasn’t been discovered yet.
Visiting from out of town and met a friend from Philly and Delaware here. Turned out to be restaurant week, so we did that. First of all, super cute place. Beautiful view of the BF Bridge right from outside and inside.
We did a cheese plate with toasted bread, the deviled eggs which were phenomenal. Even my friend who hates mayonnaise loved them. The crab dip? To die for.
I got the crab gravy (tomato/pasta) - there was a good amount of crab, but this was the only disappointing dish. The red sauce was very bland and had no crab flavor. The pasta tasted as though it was not cooked in salted water. It was fine, but nothing great.
My friends got the cod which was crispy and delicious - great fries.
The other got the fried chicken. Oh. My. God. That was bangin. So moist, so crispy, and absolutely Delicious. Delicious gravy and mirepoix. We all tried it and were in love.
Our server Maddie was also one of the highlights. Funny, personable, friendly and a great server. A+
Goodbye Le Peg, hello Fringe Bar! This is a pleasant upgrade from the previous concept at FringeArts. An electrifying menu that has something for everyone with very fun and memorable cocktails!
Only stopped for a beer, but staff were very friendly, a good selection of beverages and whilst I didn't eat, the menu and food served to tables looked good. A good selection of indoor and outdoor seating. Some seats have table umbrellas. Reasonable prices too. Recommended if in the area.
We were staying at the hotel next door and wanted to grab a fun drink somewhere not too far away, and this place 100% hit the spot. Atmospheric, but still comfortable, and really friendly, laid back people. Plus - the cocktail menu, while not lengthy, is absolutely fabulous! We had a Lost Earhart and a Scottish Holiday and both were stellar; fresh, fruity, and wonderful.
There's an outdoor area which you'd think might not be so well used in the colder months but a group sat outside the whole time we were there, round a fire pit, so that's an added bonus!
We flew in from out of town last night and the hotel we are staying at recommended this restaurant that was next door to the hotel. Excellent food!!! Had the green beans, linguine, and fried fish. Haven't had food that good in a long time. George was our server and had the best personality!!! So friendly and knowledgeable about his city.
A delight for the eyes as well as your taste buds. Amazing interior of the building was fun to see. For dinner, we shared several appetizer plates and enjoyed a few custom coktails. Really liked the cheese curds and the spicy margarita. We sat inside, but made a point of looking around at all of the outdoor areas available on our way out. The beer garden with its own food truck is a fabulous idea. The plants and landscaping make the whole place look festive and inviting. Cute spot!
Really good burger. We were looking for a nice place to rest while having a good meal and i think we found the place. The Pug burger was amazing, the meat was in point. My wife had the shrimps, and she was so happy. They have a really good view of the bridge which i think is charming. Really good place.
very pleasant and accepting atmosphere. we came later into the night with a large group on a Sunday and our wait staff was amazing! sadly, the cod was slightly undercooked & chewy. it was delicious! but the texture was slightly off. I would definitely presume that coming on another day would result in a better cook! I personally got the steak & potatoes, ordering medium rare, but received my steak over, with some burnt edges and nearly none of the fluid I expect in a medium rare. i had a great pumpkin cider & an even better bite of the crab dip! thank you all!
Very great and friendly service! The cocktails were great. The oysters were amazing. I got the grill octopus appetizer which was very succulent. It came with pork belly and i think it was a bit over cooked because it had a very charred taste and a bit chewy. Nonetheless everything else was delicious. The outdoor seating was nice and a scenic view of the bridge. Although when the septa drives from or to new new Jersey, it does get extremely loud so discussions must pause until it passes. Nonetheless it's part of the whole charm.
Had an excellent restaurant week meal here.
The ambiance is a mix of chic, artsy, and steam punk. The service is efficient and friendly.
The food exceeded my expectations. The serving size, especially for prefix was generous. I especially enjoyed the food pheasant appetizer and NY strip with roasted broccoli entrée. The steak was perfectly rare.
We were looking for a place to have dinner and found this resto while driving around Christopher Columbus Blvd, Philadelphia, PA. Very interesting place in a corner location with a very busy street on both sides, cars passing by, very loud motorcycles (the bikers are even doing race with each other). Not to forget the bridge above you, with train passing by and cars too. With all those noice, we had a unique and unforgettable experience in Al Fresco dining. I am happy of my order, Blackened Salmon, spiced and crispy, field pea & corn succotash, smoked lemon crème. My husband’s is Ribeye and Fries, seared ribeye, green peppercorn sauce, crispy fries, garlic mayo. The food was seasoned very well but a little salty. I love the place and we (me, my husband, daughter, daughters bf and bf’s mom) had a great time. Service is good as well.
