Reviews The Gold Standard Cafe

I love the gold standard cafe. I usually go for their savory dishes (as I once got the pancakes and wasn't too impressed) with the vegan breakfast burrito being my absolute favorite. Staff here are friendly and the food is always delicious and consistent. The only things I feel could be improved are the wait times and prices (which have increased so I eat here less often than I used to), however these aspects don't stop me from eating here occasionally.

I always get the salmon burrito 🌯 with potato fries. Super consistent in quality and taste. I love the local neighborhood vibe. Great outdoor seating. Cold brew is on point. Great for meet and greets, coffee dates, family chill spot. Absolutely love it here!! 💚

Delicious food Good service Great prices When you walk in, you might be confused as it looks like there is only takeout. However there is a room behind the front of the building where they will seat you. I enjoyed being back there and out of the traffic the front of the restaurant brings in. They do offer take out, dine in and out side seating. There are plenty of different coffee options as well. Would definitely recommend as a yummy brunch place to bring the family!

Food is delish, service is wonderful. Went on a Sunday morning and enjoyed the grilled salmon burrito (that came with breakfast potatoes) and an iced latte.. a nice west Philly gem; I see why this place had been held in high regard (hence “the golden standard”)! Will be one of my future go-to places

Pleasant and intimate are two wonderful words to describe this excellent place for a a high quality bite. Located in a very accessible part of university city, this simple yet effective spot boasts eye openingly good eats. Friendly prompt service and a perfect amount of space for that special rendezvous or a business conversation. The food quality will leave you wanting to become hungry again the and the portion to price ratio is spot on. The chicken chorizo hash was absolutely delicious and the shrimp and grits bowl made me appreciate a good grit and seafood combo. If your looking for a great stop and something new the gold standard is definitely the spot as they keep there standards golden.

This has been a go-to spot recently. Easy take out but also nice to eat in. Great menu, everything I’ve had so far has been great. They also are really good with gluten-free, especially for my friend who has celiac disease and needs to take extra precautions.

Always a great experience here. The food is fresh, nicely presented, and delicious. The staff is pleasant and efficient. The restaurant is clean and has great vibes. It also had varied seating options: Dining room, outside, or cafe/coffehouse type seating that overlooks the outdoor area. Love it!

I usually come here for brunch on Sundays, Good spot with many vegan options. Staff is super friendly and attaentive. Food is great, Only complaint is its a bit tight and packed some days. The wait could be long, Other then that I approve and will definitely be a repeat customer.

What a great place! Their style is friendly, comfy and casual and the food is great: many vegan selections, homemade sauce and juice etc. Pancakes are so fluffy and a must have. The wait time is a bit long but def worth it!!

this is the new eatery in a very walkable area. The architecture of the building is amazing. The establishment appears clean and orderly and there is both outdoor and indoor eating available. This establishment is near the atlas of the world. You may want to check that out before you go into the restaurant. Parking could be challenging while visiting this eatery. But it is in a particularly sunny spot and if you like to walk there are plenty of sites to see around

When I lived in West Philly, I stopped here quite a bit, especially since I caught the trolley right outside of it. SO. GOOD. I love the wraps, and the breakfast/brunch here does not mess around. They make a great chai, and the chocolate bomb cupcakes are amazing. I need to go back!

I went on a Sunday morning and it was a pretty popular place but the wait was only about five minutes. My friend got the breakfast nachos and I got the crispy Nutella French Toast. The food was amazing, well priced, and the customer service was excellent. I would def recommend this eatery. They also have a small bakery in front with delicious treats and coffees.

Better than you expect from a neighborhood coffee/cafe. Bring the kids (I did, anyway -- twice). Friendly, helpful staff. Super thick pancakes. The avocado-black bean-corn salsa omelette is a good choice.

My favorite brunch place. And I don't even live in west Philly. Great atmosphere, good food, good portions. Always perfect avocado 🥑. I have never seen it too crowded either.

Service was friendly for breakfast last week. You can ask for non dairy milks with your coffee, which is nice since I drink almond milk. The quiche portion was generous - I brought half of it home. Breakfast is really reasonable here, and there are lots of healthy options.
