Absolutely fabulous! This was a recommendation from a fellow diner at another restaurant and the food was excellent as well as the service. The paella was fantastic as well as everything else served to us. And the desert wines are to die for! Make sure you give this place a try – you won’t be disappointed!

Excellent. Excellent. Excellent. Just excellent! Since Oloroso has been open, we have dined..... rephrase.... devoured (!!!) multiple times. The kitchen is consistent and unwaveringly pristine. The bar.... ditto! The wine list is perfect and I have found my go-to bottle. PS : JP and Matthew (aka Matt) and Mariel know what we love already!!! Front of the house and back of the house.... PERFECTION.

Went here last night with a friend to try it out. I'm not an adventurous eater, to say the very least. I can honestly say this place broke that down. The 5 dishes we shared were absolutely amazing, and finishing with the organic chicken was a great choice. They have a great understanding of what pairs well with what. Will be going back for sure to try their other plates.

My son and I had an exceptional dinner here tonight. We opted for the chef's tasting menu so that we could try a little of several things. Everything was delicious. Favorites included the gazpacho with crab, lamb, and grilled eggplant. If you like desserts, the Basque style cheesecake was wonderful - light and just slightly sweet. While the food was a delight, the staff was even better. Our server, Janae, was knowledgeable about the menu and bar offerings and was happy to make recommendations. Everything she recommended was top notch. The hostess, Danielle, was friendly and attentive. If you enjoy tapas and you find yourself in the Center City area of Philadelphia, Oloroso is a must!

Overall the food was wonderful. The octopus is by far the best in the city, the eggplant was cool very well, the lamb was seasoned excellent, and the paella was great. You might ask why 4 stars, well they charge for bread. We aren’t asked if we wanted bread but they charged for it, yes it was only one dollar but it’s the principal. When spending over 200 for a mean, include the bread. In addition to that the olive oil cake was not my favorite, took less than one bite, told an employee we didn’t care for it, still was charged. I would go back but would make sure I didn’t get bread.

I love a good Paella. This place made a FIRE paella!! Tons of seafood, sausage, chicken, and the rice was tasty and cooked perfectly. Not mushy. Great Rioja also. Very friendly service, will return.

Atmosphere: 1/1: clean, dim lighting and well decorated, has a decent sized inside area and outside sitting Service: 1/1: all staff was nice, welcoming and very attentive Price: 1/1: Prices are average for Tapas Food: 2/2: In short, Wow! We tried their Tapas and Raciones tasting menu since we had FOMO. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! We enjoyed w very dish! Some notable ones to recommend in case you don’t want to order all that food are the scallops brochette, the roasted beets (yes, we don’t even like beets and these were amazing), the octopus and grilled NY strip were out of this world. The dessert ended up been a lemon cake with strawberry sorbet. Both were so good and light. Overall: 5/5: This place is underrated. Definitely come here if you’re in Philadelphia and want to have an amazing experience.

One of the most underrated restaurants in Philly is Oloroso! A remarkable array of Spanish tapas that celebrates cuisine from the land and sea⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

WOW! What an incredible dining experience. We went with the Chef’s Table and it was worth every penny. The knowledge that chef Peabody shared about how each dish was prepared was informative, and made each plate taste that much more delicious. It was great to have each sous chef present their own dish too. We also enjoyed learning about each wine and sherry we tasted. We will definitely be back! Thank you chef and team!!

I love this restaurant. The New York strip with green onion sauce and red pepper pesto is absolutely delicious. The Shisito peppers were perfectly grilled. Sitting outside having a glass of wine and eating this wonderful food was a highlight of my trip to Philly.

From the cheese steak croquettes to the short rib topped with cod to the paella and finished with the creme brulee and cheesecake dessert. I was amazed, Chef Wentz and his team continue to surpass the expectations by light-years! My only regret? Well, I got the 5 course tasting menu instead of the larger chefs tasting menu! The sexy old city vibes, superior fare and the expertly crafted beverage program makes Oloroso the spot for an intimate occasion or to celebrate family milestones. Be back soon and frequently!

Kind of a generic trendy atmosphere, but otherwise absolutely fabulous. We got all tapas dishes and they were all great, but especially the sausages and the cheeseteak croquetas. Wine selection was excellent too. We had a lovely time on Christmas Eve.
