I had a fantastic time. I have my birthday celebration there everything was excellent the food was good the place was great location is good the only complaint I have it was a little bit too dark in the room but that's okay we made the best of it I definitely would come there again.
Awesome time! Private room with a server for drinks food and all the kareoke you want with sound proof walls?! What more could you ask for?!!
If anyone is in need of an nice low key atmosphere with quality Japanese Sushi and Meals, then try this place out. I enjoy the quaint Booths and the Private lounges for the karaoke. If your looking for a good date night with your significant other to cut loose then this place might be for you.

I absolutely loved this place. Last night was my first time there with some co workers of mine and I had a blast. The Karaoke was great also. Great people, great atmosphere and great drinks and food.
Visited Philly this past weekend. Really enjoyed the food and the karaoke!!! Sat with friends & family out in front of the big screen/ bar area. Had more fun in the crowd there than I ever had getting a separate karaoke room.
Drinks are pricey so it adds up quickly , food was great, had one of the best times of my life !
It is a fun place..recommend the private rooms for even better fun
It is always a great time at Yakitori Boy!! The staff, the food and drinks always please and sometimes the singers are fantastic.

Me and a few friends went for the 1st time. When I say we had a ball I mean that with everything lol. I can't wait to go back next month. Great place, food was good. In my opinion the place over all was perfect.
Those salmon sticks!! Mmmmm...Kareoke was great! Loved the private room, my sis got it 4 me (us) to celebrate my birthday!!

SUPER FAST. I ordered thru Ubereats to my hotel and it arrived in 20 minutes. I ordered the alaska roll, spicy tuna & the yellowtail. It’s super good and the rice has lots of flavor. I ate one of the rolls before I managed to take a picture… couldn’t resist.

My first time going to Yakitori Boy won't be the last.
I made a reservation for 2 at 8:15pm on Friday. We arrived an hour early and were seated promptly - it wasn't very busy.
The decor inside was a little old. It has a rustic, Japanese feel to it. The menu is viewed through a QR code and drink orders are taken quickly.
The food ... oh my gosh - the food was so good! We ordered miso soup, sweet potato tempura, unagi nigiri, kani nigiri, salmon scallion skewer, bacon quail egg skewer, pork belly skewer, eggplant skewer, ribeye skewer, chicken karaage, and grilled squid. Everything but the squid (tough & chewy, not served with tentacles) was just phenomenal!
In my experience, many Japanese places that don't specialize in sushi have so-so sushi. It wasn't the case here. The rice was fluffy & light. The fish-to-rice ratio was very healthy as well.
Miso soup was rich and delicious. The scallions were fresh. There wasn't any seaweed at the bottom like most places have.
Of the skewers, the most notable to me were the bacon wrapped quail eggs & salmon scallion. The salmon had a very thin layer of crispy skin; I've never eaten the skin on a fish before and it was so much tastier than I expected with a wonderful texture. The quail eggs were soft boiled.
Really, it was quite a delicious meal. If I ordered a reasonable portion rather than a veritable smorgasbord with three cocktails, I assume the bill would be well under $100.
Being located in Chinatown means there's no parking, but I'd happily walk three blocks for another quail skewer.

Decided to try this place during our visit for a bite before a show.
This place was hard to find. The building was not labeled well. It was a lot smaller than I expected.
We were quickly seated within a few minutes. We did have reservations.
Waitress was the absolute best! She was super attentive and checked on us a lot. Each dish was brought pretty quick.
We ordered:
- The chicken wings which were fried crunchy and seasoned good. We enjoyed them.
- We also ordered meatball kabobs which were ok.
- About the steak and chicken kabobs - I typically like my meat cooked or grilled a little longer. The steak was ok but when I bit into the chicken, I had to remove it from my mouth and I asked them to take the chicken back to cook the chicken a little longer. She did. It was much better cooked a bit longer.
- bacon wrapped quail eggs were like hard boiled eggs wrapped in bacon. Husband enjoyed them.
-Spicy chicken noodle bowl my daughter ordered was flavorful with the veggies being more spicy but not unbearable. She liked her dish.
- Chicken rice and broccoli was good.
-The spring rolls come in 2s were small but tasty.
- the fried dumplings were tasty
-The crème brûlée vanilla cake was good.

We were a little disappointed that we did not have time in our schedule to to try the karaoke offered here upstairs.
I came here on Friday, June 17 at 11:00 PM and was seated right away. Friend and I got seated at a booth and everything was clean and organized. The sushi roll, shrimp tempura ($7), tastes great. It came with 8 pieces. The yellowtail sashimi was to die for! We ordered 10 pieces. It was so refreshing and tasted so rich. 10/10 would get it again. We ordered three glasses of Pinto Grigio. You can never go wrong with wine and sushi. It was extremely light and went perfectly well with our meal. We also ordered 2 cherry bomb shots ($8 each). It was 3 olives cherry vodka and red bull energy drink. The American Dream Roll ($12) was great. I would say it was definitely a good meal with good company and conversations. The staff were very friendly, cheerful, and energetic. Parking was around the corner and it was good walking distance. Great place for a fun night.
Great food, awesome service, getting the private room is worth it— however, I think the prices for bottles were a bit high. Also, the karaoke catalog left MUCH to be desired. if I could change one thing about this place is to improve the catalog of songs. Please get more songs!
Service is fantastic. Knowledgeable staff with excellent suggestions. Food is simple and utterly delicious. Every item was a hit. All the grilled items are absolutely perfect.

Have been there on multiple occasions, each time leaving me wanting to return soon. I love happy hour here because of the sushi tacos! I also really enjoy getting the American Dream sushi roll. The drink menu is on point!
Check this place out the next time you are craving a good dining experience with a side of awesomeness!
Awesome food, great service. We showed up right before they closed and they not only sat us but reminded us of last call just in case we needed anything else. The chicken curry was amazing and reminded me of home
Went there to celebrate a friend’s birthday, they have a decent song selection and some tasty foods(highly recommend the skewers and sushi platters), room is a bit smaller than expectation, service was friendly.
Also they do check ID for the private room so don’t forget to bring it.
Went here last Sunday night as we were looking for something that was open late. After many recommendations, we came to Yakitori Boy, and damn near ordered the whole menu! From yakitori, bento boxes, ramen, sushi, everything was perfect! Service was on point, and everyone was friendly, even though we were the last ones in there for the night.
