Love this place. The basement bar is just the ticket for ending the night. Thank you Elliot and Dave for an amazing experience. Who would have thought that rum could taste like that!

Love this place! Came here for the first time last week and the staff was so welcoming while the drinks were phenomenal and a work of art! There is passion and a warmth. I live in NY, but when I come back to Philly, I will definitely be back!

This is not a bar- it's an experience. With an amazing and knowledgeable staff and an eclectic vibe it's my favorite place in the city, hands down. Every drink is so well crafted your taste buds will be doing a happy dance with each sip! Cheers to Aaron for nailing each drink I had last night- I am never disappointed here!

I had an EastSide, and it was the best drink I've ever had. Fabulous bartenders, too!

The cocktails are a work of art. Would recommend the "Dynamite with a Laser Beam" - sure blew my mind. Still sweating bourbon today.

Top notch cocktails by experienced professionals. Great date spot. Dark, romantic, speakeasy vibe. Never too crowded because they only allow enough in to fill the seats.

Love this place! Tucked inside a boutique hotel. Great drinks selections, they served a small welcome drink upon arrival, nice touch. Asked for a one off drink to be made just for you and you won't be disappointed.

Came here after dinner for a late night drink. The atmosphere was very cool and the moody lighting makes it feel very cozy. The drinks were good and the staff was very nice.

Drinks here are not exactly cheap, but this is one of the few places that I feel confident saying that you get what you pay for. I have never gotten a cocktail here that was anything less than perfect. They have safe options that will appeal to anyone, and options for those of us who aren't afraid to get a bit weird and adventurous with it. The staff is always a delight and very knowledgeable about their offerings, service is absolutely top notch. The atmosphere is great, a little dark and moody, exactly what a little hidden gem of a cocktail bar should be.

Don’t let the rude door man deter you from entering this fantastic bar! The decor is simply stunning and the waitstaff and mixologists are fabulous!! Definitely a stop before heading to dinner or a night on the town!

3.5. Exclusive atmosphere, pricey drinks. We did not make a reservation and got in right away, however, this was 10pm on a rainy Friday night. It started getting crowded as the night went on and I imagine reservations are needed when the weather is nice. The doorman/hostess was so overprotective of people coming in that it ruined the vibe. For example, if you came in on your own, the bar tended kicked you back outside until the doorman could let you in. This did not happen to us as the doorman was by the door when we first came in, but we watched it happen to multiple parties after, as the doorman was also responsible for seating parties. It made the place feel snobby, even if this wasn’t the goal. Drinks were honestly too expensive for me to return. It’s cool, yes, but nothing worth the price, even with complimentary shots. Cocktail menu was rather traditional and nothing was super innovative. Two decent cocktails (manhattan and a bramble) plus alright ice cream for $50 pre- tip. Ice cream was a small scoop and tasted like store brand vanilla mixed with passion fruit puree. Overall, cool place to stumble upon, not necessarily a negative experience, but definitely not worth the price for me to return.

Loved it here! The Doppelganger is fire - literally it's ON fire. The location is beautiful. They're creating a whiskey room and the big group room is gorgeous and perfect for parties. They have so much space to host and in general the place is amazing. I love a good speakeasy vibe and they've definitely captured that. I think my one criticism would be the snacks they have available - 14 dollars for a 1/4 cup of nuts was obscene. I'll definitely be back here as much as possible, loved the new location, loved the service. Once again Franklin Bar is a Philly staple.

If you’re from out of town, as we are, this place is fantastic for after dinner cocktails. Hats off to Ryan, who theatrically played up the undeniable speakeasy element. There’s scarcely a clue where the bar is in the alley. He opened the door and slammed it on us, twice, before letting us in. The vibe is very chic and the people watching superb. Place was packed by 10. Wouldn’t hesitate to return.

if you are in town, it is a nice speakeasy bar. Decent drinks and if you are with someone close, there is a nice intimate spot inside this place. Check it out.

Just getting into the building is an experience, having to go down an alley and meet the doorman. Moody aesthetic and speakeasy vibes inside. Cocktails are inventive and delicious. Didn't try the food, but the snacks sounded tasty. Staff was friendly. Would definitely return to see what other inventive cocktails they come up with.

One of the best places to grab cocktails in Philly! We weren’t sure when we walked up if we were in the right place but a staff member sitting outside asked us if we wanted to sit upstairs in the tiki bar area or downstairs we knew we were on the right place. We chose to go downstairs and he took us down and sat us at our table. The service was quick and before you knew it, our drinks were table side! The atmosphere was amazing and the drinks were super tasty. Yeah they might be on the pricey side, ~$15, but the aromas and flavors of each cocktail were great! We’ll definitely be coming back!

Wife and I spent the weekend in Philly. Had a blast visited so many great establishments. Met Patrick at Franklin and he was the “best of the best” mixing us amazing classic cocktails. Great conversation and even guided me on how to make a better Manhattan at home. Very friendly , humble and personable. My wife and I cannot wait to return. Just a fantastic evening, fantastic staff and fantastic cocktails. I found the holy grail of “Manhattans.” The entire staff was incredible.

Neat speakeasy with good drinks overall. I really appreciated that Franklin Mortgage took reservations, that's a huge plus. With that said, I've had better cocktails in Philly, much less in Philly speakeasies. I'd definitely come back, but likely only in a group.
