If you're looking for a nice bite of Mac and cheese with a variety of toppings, look no further. Mac Mart has numerous options and even a flight option where you can pick 6 of their different types of Mac and cheese for less than $30.
I went with a group of my friends and wife and we all decided on differing options. I got greedy and ordered both the crabby Mac and the heart attack. The heart attack was very delicious. The caramel onions gave it such a wonderful taste.
My one friend ordered the flight and was able to try 6 different flavors. While the portions aren't massive in the flight they are enough to satisfy your hunger.
None of us could finish our orders but now we have something to finish at home.
Definitely worth trying at least once. I definitely will be going back to try more options.
First off, I would like to apologize to Mac Mart for the mix up with Mac Man when I posted a review on their page. I thought I did my due diligence with my research but I was wrong. You guys invited me to your restaurant and I accepted it. This isn't your mama's Mac and cheese. It's different... I've never had bread crumbs on my Mac and cheese but I think that makes you more full. I wish you could have added more meat in it and another seasoning that could elevate the dish even more. This place has something special it just needs a little more umph....
A must try! We stopped in randomly for lunch, service was super fast and the person behind the counter was super nice. The Mac was very thick and creamy, super cheesy. They had a good variety of toppings and styles of Mac, their Spinach and Artichoke dip is on point. I have had too much Mac and cheese in my life, and will have to come back here to have more. I will say it wasn't the best Mac I've ever had, but I'd love to try the jalapeno one next time since I prefer Spicy. My only other critique was that the black pepper was a little too much, but I understand most people would probably enjoy that. Also, super cute ambience and they have adorable yellow outdoor seating. Minimal indoor seating, but enough to have an early lunch inside.
Love this place. Had the small (not kiddie) size and split it with my husband for a quick afternoon snack. Chose the margarita bowl. Was absolutely delicious, but not heavy. Love the fact that I could customize with caramelized onions and pesto chicken. The panko/chips topping was perfect.
Mac Mart has ruined any other mac & cheese for me. I was initially reluctant to try Mac Mart because mac & cheese is not the dish that comes to my mind for a meal in the city.
I was lucky enough to catch the Lobster Mac while in stock, but the Mac I really return for is the Heart Attack. Wow! Topped with panko bread crumbs, caramelized onions, and crispy bacon (and BBQ sauce as suggested by the staff), this flavor bomb pleasured my taste buds.
I recommend trying Mac Mart because they have a huge toppings selection and even the plain Mac is delicious. I'm planning to bring Mac Mart's mac & cheese to my next holiday meal.
2023 update: amazing.
It is not as good as it used to be (2-3 years ago) definitely seems smaller in size but the place is still very clean and the staff is very friendly. Toppings are still plentiful and very fresh tasting. Would still come here but not sure if I would go out of my way for it unless I was going to be in the area.
The Mac & Cheese is delicious, plenty of different add one to make anyone happy. The portion size is enough to make a meal of. The interior is a bit small with only enough seating for 8 or so inside, and the chairs are right up on the window so everyone can look in on you eating. Take out is always a viable option.
Wow, I am very impressed. I heard about Mac Mart through some friends and decided to try it today. I got the “In the Buff” and it was astounding. Some reviews said the portions seemed small but I disagree for a good carb lunch. It was tasty, filling, and great for a treat-your-self meal. I can’t wait to try the other options. Get yourself a bowl ASAP.
My first time having lunch here and I got the crab Mac and cheese. Really hits the spot, the toppings they add are perfect. They also pack it for you in a nice container so you don't have to worry about getting a takeout container!
Best Mac & Cheese anywhere. We ordered containers of cheese and the classic panko to bring back to New York in a cooler. So good!
I must say that a Mac & Cheese restaurant was a fantastic idea! First one I ever came across and it did not disappoint.
I got the Buffalo chicken one which I thoroughly enjoyed, even when I heated up the leftovers later on.
Great, creative Mac and cheese meals. I enjoy their selections and even though the dishes they serve it in doesn’t SEEM like a lot, there’s a lot for your guts to take on. Heavy mac and cheese for ya tummy tum. Nice to treat yourself though. Real nice.
We always order whenever we're in Center City. The wide range of mac dishes cater to everyone's tastes. The portions are perfect and great to share or save for later.

Oh, Mac Mart, I effing love you!!
I have so much adoration for this spot. My sister used to live in Philadelphia several years before I moved here, and always raved about this speciality mac & cheese food truck she loved. Soon after, Mac Mart became an adorable, unforgettable brick & mortar storefront, touting a bright pink neon sign.
Visiting my sister in Philadelphia for the first time years ago, she made it a point to bring me to try her very favorite mac and cheese. (I should note that we are HUGE mac & cheese connoisseurs in our family, so I knew this was gonna be good).
I immediately fell in love with the cheesy, creamy, decadent, flavorful, (and highly customizable!) macaroni noodle goodness. What an experience! So many add-ons, toppings, and flavor combinations to try! You absolutely cannot go wrong with a comforting serving of mac cheese, lovingly adorned in those iconic green containers.
Visiting Mac Mart has become a nostalgia trip for me. Fond memories of bonding with my sister over our love for mac & cheese have evolved into our shared love for Mac Mart.
Now, whenever she visits me in Philadelphia, we always make it a point to share our favorite Mac Mart bowls together.

I'd be lying if i said i wasn't looking forward to this all week. In The Buff was totally worth the hype (as a terminal ranch addict). creamy, sumptuous, layered, and totally worth the trip to center city. service was quick, straightforward, and no-nonsense. i was in & out in under 4 minutes. i'll be back within the fiscal quarter

Long time Philly food cart in a permanent location in center city. The interior has a very modern minimalist feel with some seating. The real value here beyond the solid Mac n Cheese choices is how portable each meal is. The containers come ready for transport and reuse. Perfect for a quick lunch before heading back to the office or taking leftovers home. This being my first visit I was directed toward the Cowboy Cup, a strong option with bacon bits, cornbread and a perfect amount of jalapeño oil. Highly recommend. One last note. The portions are larger than they appear! Enjoy responsibly!
