Lamb Meatballs: Love!
Cheeseplate: lack of cheese disappointing for the price paid and amount of bread given, however, the cheese on the plate was good.
Drinks: Love the Margarita! All the mixed drinks I got there were great!
Dessert: the chili peanut brittle with chocolate cake is awesome, as is the apple bread pudding with ice cream.
Service: always excellent! Always sitting at the bar, friendly service with great conversation as well. Will be back for the awesome waitress at the East Passyunk alone. Job well done as always.
Coffee & breakfast was amazing as well as the service! Delectable food cool setting and vibe.
I got the chorizo sandwich for breakfast one morning. The ciabatta and combination of flavors was very good, no complaints. Keep it up!
This coffee is the best I've ever had.
I'm no coffee snob. In fact, I don't know much about coffee at all because I'm not a regular coffee drinker. I think it says a lot that this is THE only coffee I will go out of my way to purchase. There are a bunch of coffee shops in the neighborhood, many of which are closer to my apartment, but I remain loyal to Plenty. I recommend this place to everyone and take all of my friends here when they visit from out of town!
Great food followed by great people. New Orleans beat sandwich there.
I ordered cream of asparagus soup and a Caprese panini and both were "Plenti"full and delicious. It has become our "go-to" food fare.
Loved everything about it. The Bloody Mary, the muffins and the shusheka were all DELICIOUSNESS
Excellent food and coffee. Service was friendly and the joint is super nice. We'll be back often.
I had the oxtails and they were delicious. Great roux, meat falls off the bone. The jerk chicken sauce was delicious little sweet with a nice kick. All the sides we had were great.
Friendly service and nice set up. Outside seasonal seating.
The food took a little long to come out, but was worth it coming out steaming hot.
The restaurant has an amazing vibe and the food was even better. Stopped in for lunch while strolling through the neighborhood and had the summer special cocktail Ocho rum punch and it was the best rum punch I ever had. For entrees had the oxtail stew, curry goat, and rice and peas, Mac and cheese, and plaintain for sides. The food was portioned well and bursting with flavor. Highly recommend all of those dishes. The service by John was also great. Will definitely be returning.
The ox tail was fall off the bone, tender. It came served on a flat plate with a few vegetables into the stew and the sauce from the stew was very rich, yet neither thick nor too thin. The rice and beans is very good and you can taste the coconut flavor. The only recommendation I would have there is that the rice and the beans we split, because the beans cause the rice to clump up and you wind up getting big bites of beans. The three greens on the side were absolutely delicious. Full of flavor You could taste the flavors of the coconut, the onion, and the cumin, and they were crispy, perfectly cooked. There was even a hint of spice to them that made them pop. Really cool, the server accidentally brought us plantains and actually left them for us to enjoy even after realizing we didn’t order them.
Ocho Rios Parrilla is a great Jamaican restaurant on east Passyunk Avenue. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor dining and it was very clean at all. I ordered one of their signature dish Curry Goat. It was very tender and delicious. They marinated the meat very well. Main course came with two sides, and I chose mac&cheese and rice&beans. They were both really good, especially rice&beans was so tasty. They also have rich cocktail options.
My waiter Dan was great. He was very nice and attentive. Every time when he served something, he had big smile on his face. The prices were very fair, and definitely the food is worth every penny. Highly recommend!
Great option for a delicious and unique meal on the Ave. The staff is friendly, the rum punch is awesome and the food is delicious! Have been a few times and always pleased with the variety of options. Personally recommend the Caribbean patty, curry shrimp and Mac and cheese!

Been here many times and love it just as much every time! They have a lovely summer drink menu too.
This place is AMAZING. I got the mango chicken and it was *chefs kiss* So perfectly cooked with crispy skin and the sauce was bursting with flavor. Also got a side of their Mac and cheese and I swear I want to eat it every day from now on. Will definitely be going back, often. 11/10
Ocho Rios is a super cute spot on Passyunk Ave. The food is always great and service is friendly. They have the best beef patties and fish fritters. Every entree I've tried is great, and the portion sizes are big because entrees come with choice of two sides.
I rarely write reviews, but I just had to about this place. My wife and I love to explore Philly's food scene, and we've hit a number of great places, but we absolutely LOVED Ocho Rios. Our server Dan provided some of the best service I've ever had in any restaurant. He made the experience much more enjoyable. But lets talk about the food.. wow..the food was absolutely amazing. We ordered the Jamaican jerk wings, my wife ordered the Oxtail Stew and I got the Curry Shrimp - the portions were generous and you can just taste the homeyness to it. I am not kidding when I tell you that everything was cooked to perfection, and each bite was so incredibly flavorful. The owners are also so sweet, following up with us and asking how everything was. If you are ever in the East Passyunk neighborhood, you HAVE to stop by this place - you will not be disappointed. Plus they just got their liquor license and their cocktails are fantastic! My wife and I live in Germantown and we will absolutely go out of our way to come back here! 10/10, by far one of the best dining experiences I've ever had!
friend and I stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. The atmosphere is very trendy and it was a great place to have a conversation over lunch. They also have an outdoor patio (no shade). We each enjoyed a cocktail and I ordered the jerk chicken, Mac and cheese and fried plantains! The chicken was fall-off-the-bone, the jerk sauce was sweet with a little spice to it. There were probably 5 medium chicken pieces, I ended up taking some home! The Mac and cheese was so good, cheesy and crispy but not dried out. The fried plantains were delicious! My friend had the brisket in jerk sauce and hers was very tender as well!
Definitely recommend checking this place out! The staff was very friendly and helped us decide what to get!
First time trying Jamaican food and Ochos Rios Parrilla did not disappoint!! Service was pleasant and food was absolutely phenomenal! My friends and I each ordered a different dish so we can try each a little bit of everything — it was well seasoned and all the protein was so soft and tender. I was a bit sad when I saw how small the Mac and cheese was BUT realized it was a perfect portion size as it’s really rich and creamy.
I would definitely recommend!
Absolutely delicious meal. Highly recommend. BYOB, the chicken wings were fantastic, and the mango chicken and salmon two ways were good. But the Plantains and the Mac and Cheese - wonderful.
The rum punch is amazing. Flavorful and sweet but not too sweet!
The curry goat is probably the best I have had in recent memory. Good portion size for the goat.
The service was very good. John, was polite, friendly and attentive.
The service was top tier. Drinks were refreshing, food was flavorful, fresh, and hot. Absolutely good food with great service. I suggest the bbq brisket and Mac and cheese.
Ocho Rios Parrilla is an incredible restaurant! The ownership and staff do a fantastic job at providing the ultimate Caribbean dining experience. Before joining Ocho Rios, I had little experience with authentic Jamaican cuisine. Over the course of the past two months I have learned so much and feel that I have become a member of a strong team. The restaurant is Jamaican owned and all of the food served is cooked and prepared by Jamaican chefs. At this point I have tried nearly every dish on the menu and continue to be blown away by the flavor. If you are looking to find a new restaurant that provides authentic cuisine and is family owned, look no further than Ocho Rios in the East Passyunk neighborhood of South Philly!
Awesome experience! We celebrated my cousin's birthday. The resturant has an intimate setting inside. They also have seating outside. They had our tables ready for our large party. They brought us complementary juice which tasted like passion fruit in cute jar glasses. I had the brown stew chicken with mac and cheese and fried plantains. It was so delicious! They even played happy birthday on the speaker for my cousin & brought her a cake with a candle! The parking was a little tight but I prayed for a parking spot and the Lord blessed me with one 2 blocks around the corner. (Prayer works!) Thank you for the experience. I would definitely return!
