Look No Further this is The Best!!!
Best cheesesteaks in Philly. Hands down. A staple in this town. Tourists go to other places but locals know this is the real deal. Check out the chicken cheese steak of beef isn’t on your mind. Get the fries wit wiz. Don’t forget the condiments bar. Try everything! You won’t be disappointed.
Underwhelmed
Since I heard a lot about the place and it was near by I figured I would give it a shot. No need for me to go again as there are better options in the area.
I go in and place my order, menu was simple enough. Got my sandwich started to eat and it was really nothing to write home about. It was drier than I was expecting. It wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t fantastic either. If there are no other options, it’s okay in a pinch.
Steve's is truly a prince of cheesesteaks and is defiantly in my top three choices for one. When I lived in Northeast Philly, I regularly got my cheesesteak fix on here and do likewise when I'm back in the area.
Best cheesesteaks in Philadelphia. Which in turn makes them the best cheesesteaks in the world. 'Nuff said.
I've tried so many places and these are the best steaks in Philly! Double meat with provolone and mushrooms!!!
Best Cheesesteaks. To me and my husband, these are THE BEST cheesesteaks.
with wiz or w/o
If you haven't eaten here, you're missing out. The beef is fresh sliced and not chopped up on the grill. The cheese fries are the best anywhere. Eat in or take out, Steve's can' be beat!
Best Cheesesteaks in Philly by far!. Gotta Love the liquid American cheese and large sliced steak. Steve's is how every cheese steak should be made.
In all the cheesesteak I tried from Steve’s Prince of Steaks was nothing but average. I read a lot of good reviews online about Steve’s so I was excited to review them. With a little better tasting meat they could have gotten a much higher score. All it would have taken was probably just a little salt and pepper and they would have an outstanding cheesesteak. There are a ton of cheesesteak joints around Steve’s and I would almost recommend giving them a shot before this place. The cheesesteak wasn’t bad, but it didn’t meet my expectations and it was no where close to being good. They have a pretty limited menu so don’t expect to order anything other than a cheesesteaks, fries, or burgers. Throughout the Delaware Valley Steve’s Prince of Steaks has a few locations, but the one I visited is the one located on Bustleton Avenue, which is their main location.
Overall, I was a fan of the sandwich. Like I said, the roll was the weakest link with this experience but it wasn't too bad with all things considered. The real winner, here, is the meat, which proves that good steak sandwiches can be done without the cho
I have eaten at Steve’s Prince of steaks over the years, both at the Mayfair location and the Center City location. Not sure if those two locations are even there anymore. However, my daughter wanted a cheesesteak, so I said, how about we drive Steve’s on the boulevard so we did. Inside itself was very clean, and the gentleman taking our order was very pleasant. However as soon as I saw the ATM I knew it was a cash only place. I wasn’t happy about that but it is what it is. I ordered a pizza steak with fried onions and my daughter got a cheesesteak with wiz. The meat itself appeared to be of better quality than some steak places, and cooked flat instead of how a lot of places cook it chopped up in smaller pieces. It had a nice flavor and the meat was tender. The fried onions paired nicely with the meat. Overall the steak was good. However, I feel the meat could have been seasoned a little with at least a little salt and pepper, and it could of had slightly more cheese and sauce on it. The price was also a little steep for the size of the sandwich but I will assume it’s because it is potentially a better cut of meat. Bottom line is, it was good and I would eat here again, but it wasn’t in my Top Ten of local cheesesteaks. On the wall there was mention of “Best of” awards for Steve’s but they were years old…one date that stuck in my head was ‘92. You make good steaks for sure. But if you want to make great steaks…you might want to visit some local competitors to see where you fall short.
Great service and taste. Price was good and the guys working there were real nice. Fast and hot. Not from Philly, but this was the best steak I had when I was visiting.
I flew into Philly and wanted to give cheesesteaks a go and this definitely opened my eyes to a whole new world. Cheesesteaks are awesome! The bread was sooo soft and the combination of steak, onions, and the white american cheese was to die for. 1000% recommend stopping by here
Cheesesteaks were delicious! Easy to order and take back to our hotel. Definitely would recommend!
Our 1st time eating at Steve's. Cheesesteaks were really good. Only a small counter to eat at, but that made it a unique experience. Overall cost was a bit pricey (almost $50 for 2 cheesesteaks, 1 fries, 2 sodas). No refills, which is ridiculous.
I tried Steve’s for the first time. It’s good but not in my top 10 places for cheesesteaks. It has a strong following so take my criticism as just my own opinion. Service was awkward- one window for sandwiches and another for fries and drinks, each with its own register. I tried it, but won’t go back.
My husband loves coming here to get cheese steak sandwiches. Its close to home and the food does not disappoint. I am not a cheese steak person but I definitely am when it comes to Steve's.
They have an amazingly fresh and tasty Cheesesteak! Place is super clean and I loved it. Cleanliness is my top priority
Thanks guys.
I’LL BE BACK 😎
Great food! Cheese Steaks are the best.
My low rating of the atmosphere is only because it is not a place designed for dining in; which is ok, except when it's cold out.
Great authentic cheese steak. I'd, however, suggest getting double meat and wizz cheese. The bread overwhelms the flavor a bit.

Always fast! Always fresh meat! Always friendly service!
Food prepared to your liking. Been eating here for the last 10 years and never been unhappy with their service. The kitchen as well as the whole place is clean and you can literally see how your food is handled. Really authentic cheesesteak in the heart of Northeast Philadelphia. Quick high quality meals!
