Great spot to dry quality beers from around the world, one bottle at a time.
Kale was awesome and really personable! I always love coming here.
Firstly, don't expect a cheap couple of beers here. Building your own six pack can be quite costly. But, and this is a good but, the selection you're offered is quite good for such a small shop.
Looking for a 12 pack of bud or yuengling? They've got that too! Want some snacks to go with your brews? You're in luck. Something sweet? Look no further.
I went in pretty late, close to closing, and the associate was polite and helpful.
Little known fact: Tuesdays 5-7p usually have free meet-the-brewer tastings. Selection is great. Curated refrigerated dips and snack selection to go with your beer. Knowledgeable staff. Prices are OK, as far as philly taxes go, it is what it is.
I went to the foodery looking to purchase some beer and cider to bring to a byob I was meeting a friend at nearby. The sales associate who helped was incredibly sweet and was able to help me find what I was looking for instantly. The prices are super reasonable. This is hands down the best foodery location in the city in my opinion. They have a great craft beer selection.
Vast selection of beers (single bottles, 6-packs and variety packs), and it has a deli (open until 8 p.m.; Vegan options available). Marcus is great with customers, and keeping the stock up-to-date.
Fantastic Specialty Beer Shop
Huge Collection: I found all sorts of interesting beers - but had to be practical. The Staff seemed knowledgeable and guided me well based on what I told them....
I picked up Track#8 by TheLostAbbey - impossible to get unless you are in the know.... OvilaAbbeyTripal by SierraNevada, Dragon'sMilk by NewHolland, and OldChubb by OskarBlues.
Prices are good - There is a small premium for this level of choice.... JustAddToCart : )
The Foodery is the only spot in the immediate area where you can find "exotic" beers or beers from breweries from all around the country. A friend from CA was astonished to find beers from Green Flash Brewery, a San Diego brewery, and Lagunitas Brewing Company. The Foodery's beer isn't cheap- I would list it as moderate-expensive. Still it's the best selection around, and you can mix 6-packs with individual beers if you feel like switching things up. The standard 6-pack of PBR pounders is a very fair $8.50-ish. They accept all credit cards without a minimum, and the staff is always polite and helpful.
Great bear selection, convenient location. Individual beer prices not listed prior to checking out (and some are pricey!), but you can ask if you're not sure.
Good selection of interesting beers, though pricey. I was happy to learn they give 10% off if you buy 6 beers, and 20% if you buy 6 identical beers
