The best Oreo Cookie Cupcakes and best Oreo Donuts. Soooooooo Good!!! They were so good we got there on Friday night we had to go back on Saturday. Well worth it. I must stop if you are in Philadelphia. 21st and Walnut. 2 Thumbs up!!!!
The lobster tail and cannoli were to die for! We came all the way from Virginia- it was worth it! ️
Great dessert . but can't take family there to prices me and family .
The food we got there was very good and the girl that waited on us was very pleasant. My only criticism is I wanted to buy a hoodie but they didn't have any in my size.

Most amazing cannolis and pumpkin cheesecake I've ever had! My boys loved the cupcakes too!
The classic cannoli boasts a perfect balance of crispy shell and creamy ricotta filling, creating a delightful contrast in textures. As for the cinnamon crumble apple pie, the warm blend of cinnamon-spiced apples beneath a buttery crumb topping is a heavenly combination, offering a comforting and flavorful experience. Both desserts showcase timeless recipes executed with precision, making them a delectable choice for anyone with a sweet tooth.
One of my favorite bakeries, originating from Hoboken! I wasn’t sure if the experience at other locations would live up to the hype and the Philly store definitely did not disappoint! I was SO, so happy to finally have a lobster tail again! The cream was the right consistency and perfectly chilled, while the the pastry was flaky and butter. You know you’re having a true Carlo’s bakery lobster tail when you bite into it and hear that satisfying *crispy crunch* sound! Ahhh 🤤
I also tried the chocolate mousse and cannoli cheesecake. Both were delicious!
The only thing missing was Buddy himself. One day, I will cross paths with Buddy Valastro at one of his bakeries… one day 😁
Loved the desserts and selection here. I ordered the strawberry cheesecake, a chocolate covered strawberry, and 2 cookies. Everything was very tasty. Service was fast and efficient. Would definitely go back. The only downfall is that everything is pricey, which is expected. This is a spot for special occasions. Location is pretty good, there is parking on the street.
The manager Kate has been extremely helpful creating the customized big birthday cake - half ocean and half golf course- for my husband which was a complete success and super delicious, moist and tasty! All her advice was great and the price very reasonable compared to some other customized birthday cakes. Thank you so much!
Excellent home baked butter cookies. Wide selection of baked goods beyond cookies. Okay coffee. Might be worth a return visit. Definitely a good choice if it’s on your walk. Not sure, yet, if it’s worth traveling out of your way, as are la Gran Cafe L’Aquila, and Swiss Bake Haus.
I popped in for an impulse cannoli. The bakery was basically empty on a Wednesday morning around 10 or so. The cannoli was yummy (crispy shell) but underfilled and overpriced (with tip, was $7 for one). I’d come back again if there isn’t a line
It's much better than I expected. The prices aren't through the roof like some of the other bakeries around, and the cheese cake cups and conoli's were top-notch.
Visiting Philly got a chance to visit Carlo's Bakery and brought a couple of treat everything was delicious got the strawberry rainbow cake, cookies and some lobster tails that I regret not getting more of definitely visiting again!
We had Carlo’s Bakery make us a gender reveal cake and it came out looking absolutely perfect! The cake tasted amazing too! We’ve gotten so many compliments. They were very easy to work with on a design and were able to make the cake in a few short days.
Customer service is always good. In a nice and walkable are. The cakes are amazing. The cheese cake is super. I’m allergic but I’d take a Benadryl for it. 🤷🏽♀️
I was excited to discover that Carlo’s had a satellite location in Philly, especially having watched “Cake Boss” (and its spin-off show, “Next Great Baker”) since it first premiered on TLC. That being said, I had always wondered how the baked goods themselves measured up to how hyped they were on TV, and what better day than my birthday to find out? After eyeing the selections in the case, I settled on a piece of rainbow cake frosted with buttercream and topped with a candied maraschino cherry and a coffee. While enjoying my cake and coffee I was delighted by the music that played and found the atmosphere to be at just the right balance—it was a weekday morning verging on afternoon so it was relatively quiet. After I finished my cake and coffee, I came to the conclusion that, yes, Carlo’s Bakery DOES live up to the hype from the TV show. Looking forward to trying more of their treats!
