Been coming here for almost 20 years and it's always, always been the best buns. Extremely good prices but consistently great quality and care in the details (you can taste that the sesame seeds have been properly toasted!)
This bakery fills their buns generously, so you can taste the filling in every bite.
A religious experience every time. The sausages and sesame balls are my favorite. They have mooncake for this month too!
I've been going to this spot since high school and they are always my go-to! I mainly get pineapple buns but you can't go wrong ordering sweets from here.
It is very good here I wish they had more sweet options but it is very delicious
I love all the boba options it also is one of the only bakeries in Chinatown,Philly with seating in it
This is one of my favorite bakeries in Chinatown and I stop by here every time i'm in the area. Pre-covid just seems so long ago now but since Covid the spot is quite small. You walk in and there's a table separating you and the pastries and a person that will bag whatever you want. Everything is always so fresh and delicious and amazingly soft!! My favorite is the pineapple bun - crusty top and soft bun. There's no filling which is how I personally like it, but there are plenty of things with filling inside if that's your preference!
My family has been coming here for almost 15 years! We never make a trip to Chinatown without stopping by KC’s pastries to bring home a big box of breakfast buns and treats for the next week. Ol’ reliable but they do close early so we gotta remember to come before dinner sometimes.
Wonderful. This bakery is a wonderland of affordable buns and pastries. It's hard not to love a Chinese bakery, but this one stands out as having the best red bean buns that I have ever had. The red bean buns here aren't too greasy and they have a generous amount of flavorful paste inside. Another plus is that they seal the buns in nice plastic bags for you.
After you spend a dollar on 10 minutes of bliss at this bakery, you'll wonder why you spend money anywhere else.
Best in town! You’ll think that all buns are just the same in Chinatown, NO they are not the same. If they are sold out for the day, we would rather wait for tomorrow than just get from other Chinese bakery.
Pineapple bun, Custard bun, Coconut bun, Egg tarts, Iced Milk Tea...
Almost every time I'm in the Chinatown area of Philly I make sure to stop and get buns at KCs! They have such a great variety, always fresh, and taste amazing!! Always a special treat. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to try something that, for me, is like a cross between a doughnut, croissant, and a kings Hawaiian roll. Yum
Definitely recommended! We're from Maryland and it's super hard to find such tasty Asian sweet buns here with a reasonable price. Should've bought more to bring back to MD. Staff are friendly. It's a blessing for local people!
Phenomenal buns, so good! Can't wait until COVID goes away so that in store shopping with the full menu returns. Right now it's a scaled down selection with no labels.
KC bakery is the BEST! Awesome customer service unlike Hong Kong bakery. A lady that helped us wanted us to try the BBQ bun and egg custard before we buy. We end up bought almost $50.00 of baking goods from her. If you want baking goodies, go to KC bakery.
Probably the best place to get buns and desserts in Chinatown. They offer more options for more adventurous people. I highly recommended the Chicken Pot Pie buns. You have to get their before 4 or 5pm because the best stuff sells out eventually pretty consistently.
IGNORE ALL OTHER REVIEWS! This is such a cute bakery with amazing bread and they are so hardworking🥺🫶🫶💕💕go support!!! 5/5
THEY ARE OPENED! They probably forgot to change the status on google map. I’ve been taking out breads at this place a couple times during the pandemic. Price for each was around $1.50, no extra tax. Good taste and cheap.
My go-to Chinese bakery place for the city of Philadelphia! I have searched near and far for the best red bean buns in the city - and this is the place! A regular haunt of mine for affordable and delicious baked goodies :)
I came here to try some of their bakery items. The bakery is clean and everything is organized with clear labels. This is usually hard to come by in some Chinese bakeries. I got the szechuan beef bun and the hot dog bun. They were pretty tasty and there was a decent amount of filling inside. I would come back to this bakery if I'm ever in Philadelphia.
