Just enjoyed an outstanding dinner tonight with my family, celebrating my brother’s birthday! Our server, Damien, was very attentive and did a great job ensuring our first dining experience was memorable! This was my first, but definitely not my last visit! I loved the salmon fried rice and Thai shrimp, the chef visited our table and encouraged me to try something new on my next visit. Cannot wait to visit again! Thanks for great food and great service!!!!!
My girlfriend and I went for dinner for her bday and this was both of our 1st time. I had the salmon Alfredo and fried shrimps and she had the salmon fried rice and chicken and shrimp Alfredo. Food was very good, I would definitely dine here again. The next time I would bring wine because we weren't aware of the byob. Great place to eat.
Jordan Johnson is a hidden secret!!! The mussels and shrimp rice are absolutely DELICIOUS! You must come and try for yourself ��

I was really treated with a country hospitality at Jordan Jackson, we met the owner and he was also sooooo well mannered and welcoming! Our waiter was Damien and he was the bomb nothing was too much for him! Thank you so much for a wonderful night with great food!

The curried fries were AMAZING! We also had shrimp alfredo, creamy curried shrimp, shrimp scampi (see a theme with our choices?)and shrimp fried rice. Our server, Damian, was awesome. Very professional and personable.
The food here I s amazing. The waitress Cass helped me and she was very lovely and efficient. All of the girls were very pleasant towards me.

My wife and I have decided to carve a special night out monthly in the midst of our busy schedules just to dine at Jordan Johnson's! This was both of our first time here after hearing rave reviews and they were all well-deserved! Not only was every single dish we had incredible, Jordan Johnson himself touched every table and spent time with each guest. By the end of the night we were going through the incredible music playlist which enhances the dining experience (I sang all night) with him introducing us to songs we never heard while reminiscing on classics. We talked business, food, life and what impressed us the most was his intense passion about his menu and his restaurant. He truly cares about his guests. It truly shined though his personal touch of ensuring we enjoyed each moment there and soliciting feedback, which was nothing but positive! Outside of our monthly visits, we'll be sure to bring family and friends often to support this beautiful black man doing wonderfully positive things, making moves (new restaurant opening soon which I'm excited to try as well) with a bright future ahead of him! Jordan Johnson Seafood BYOB was nothing short of a pleasant surprise! I won’t lie, I’ve heard (& read) mixed reviews, some heralding the place for its amazing food, while a few weren’t so gracious. HOWEVER, my first experience here was memorable. This seafood spot is in the Northeast section of Philadelphia, whose bright neon sign clearly CANNOT be missed. The set-up is very different from most places but atmosphere inviting and spacious, nonetheless. The place filled up as the night progressed and music set the vibes for the night. Server was attentive and personable. FOOD WAS VERY GOOD & VERY TASTY! 🤤 The menu is clearly influenced by Chef/Owner Jordan Johnson’s Jamaican & Indian heritage, as it’s lined with curried dishes and a garlic butter cream sauce I could personally swim in! 😍 We shared food among each other where I discovered the amazingness of the Alfredo sauce on the pasta & the Thai chili sauce on the wings & butterflied shrimp. The Chef later came around to greet us and we lucked out with some of his “icebox” cake in this really amazing fruit preserve. It’s no longer served or available on the menu but you know me, ASK NOT, WANT NOT!! Let’s just say, I’m glad I inquired. 😜 Support the Black Owner business; have your next celebration or just go dine among friends. 🍽🍤🐟🍷❤️

Went to this restaurant for the first time last night. The food is amazing!! The staff make you feel welcome, everyone is smiling and friendly. The chef even came out and greeted the guests, he also took a picture with my friend and I. I will most definitely be returning!!
Wasn't finished celebrating Moms 80th birthday, this was the place to top it off. The food was a hit with the right amount of heat.. Even though our waitress was pregnant she handle her business, excellent service all around...
My 40th surprise Birthday dinner was in a private rear part of the restaurant. It was extremely wonderful. The food was phenomenal We had a large dinner party so everyone ordered a little bit of everything in which everyone stated how beyond pleased they were with their food. Our waiter Damon was perfect for us. He met everyone needs along with his personality making us very comfortable and welcomed. He was at our services without any errors. Thanks for making my 40th birthday a pleasurable and enjoyable memory. I’ll be back for sure to eat some great food.
Food was excellent. Creamy curry chicken over rice was delicious. If your a seafood or chicken lover, Jordan Johnson's is a place to visit. They have dine in or take out. I got my food to go. They also have very large portions
This restaurant and its customer service can be described in simply one word...Phenomenal!!! The amount of love and flavor seeping and marinating in each dish left me wanting more and regretting not wearing an outfit with an adjustable waistline. Would I come back? 1000 times yes I would! This will be a fair and modest review...Jordan Johnson's Gourmet seafood is completely and utterly one of the finest seafood dining experiences I've had in a very long time.
Let's begin with the menu and food. The menu is varied but not to the point where it becomes overwhelming. It has two pages, front and back, with numerous choices of seafood, poultry, and meat.
I ordered the honey buffalo shrimp for an appetizer and followed it up with the curry salmon. I do not say this lightly but... They were both extremely good!!!
The honey buffalo shrimp came out on a beautiful display with a good portion of shrimp for the $9 you spend. They were expertly battered with just the right amount of crispy and perfectly basted with that tangy sweet and spicy sauce. I could see that in the fried batter there was seasoning as well which really turned on my appetite further. The blue cheese they provided was definitely home made from scratch as well and provided the right kind of cool to the spicy dish. And the shrimp were fresh and plump, big and juicy, and somehow the batter and sauce accentuated the natural shrimp flavor. It was so good in fact, I had a flash back to Bubba from Forest Gump where he lists all the types of shrimp dishes, and I'm pretty sure he would be proud of this place, or maybe even jealous lol
For the main entree, I ordered the curry salmon. Boy, oh boy, was that delicious!!! The sauce was the perfect kind of creamy seasoned blend. The vegetable fried rice was compacted into a separate portion of the plate into a neat circular mound with an edible flower on top that made the presentation look excellent.
The vegetable fried rice is not ordinary. I found taste the sesame seed oil, the star anise, the ginger and other Caribbean spices which brought out the flavor and the rice was definitely cooked with butter, making it have a fuller flavor. The rice was perfectly sticky too which I absolutely love when it comes to my rice...
Last but not least, the service was excellent. Our waitress (please forgive me for not remembering her name) was very attentive, accommodating, patient and polite. When ordering, we didn't feel like we were rushed and she made sure that we understood the menu. We even had the manager (Maria) come to our table a few times and she was so nice! Made us feel very welcome and taken care of and even laughed at my corny jokes lol.
The only negative I had was that the positioning of the tables was a little weird, because there was this massive open space in front of the bar that could have been used, but everything was pushed off to the side, but maybe it turns into a dance floor at a later hour.
In summary, don't sleep in this place. The food and service is REALLY good and I recommend it to anyone else that is serious about their food.
Food was great but the seating wasn't. Table was too small for 8 of us and they said they didn't have anyplace else for us although the was a room behind us with empty tables.
Very good place to eat, it ByOB. The salmon was not the best but it was not bad at all, the crab legs very good, muscles very good but the shrimp scampi was amazing, the shrimp Alfredo was also very good. Over all a great place to go eat.
