Food was good, nice large selection of beer, some fun bar games to play like skee ball and a shuffle board table and plenty of TVs to watch the games on.
We went there for lunch and then later that night We went back to see some live music . It was a Great experience both times even though where very busy the staff was Great as well as the food and drinks! When We saw the band it was wall to wall , reminded Me of Purple Rain !
The must go sports bar in Philadelphia! You can enjoy a nice drink, have a bite and then play some games.
The beer selection is quite good. The food seemed alright, but it wasn't anything to write home about. The atmosphere was good. I particularly liked the fact that they have games to play although I did not play any. I would consider this a more adult style of a Dave and Busters. Overall, a good experience.
The Field House is one of my favorite places in the market east / Jefferson station area. I come here regularly after work to grab a drink before I catch my train. The staff is always beyond friendly and welcoming even when they are getting slammed. People tend to give this place a bad review because they only come in when it’s wildly busy, but this place has more to offer than sports and crazy crowds. They’ve got a solid rotating beer list, they have live music, painting with a twist nights, and a solid food menu. On a whole this sports bar is underrated and the staff is always accommodating!
Great local sports bar easy to get to. Bar tenders are friendly and helpful giving you suggestions of beer and specials depending on what you feel like.
It was great to see around the bar was filled with large TV screens and each had a different game on. This made it perfect to watch the NBA playoffs whilst keeping an eye on the hockey during timeouts etc. Although I didn’t try the food (as I had eaten beforehand), the selection was large and looked amazing. Around the venue there were more TVs on the walls, as well as TVs in most of the booths for a larger group.
There was loads of space inside so it never felt like you were squeezing through to get to the bar, etc.
30th birthday party for our son, upstairs in a private room. The food was excellent, the service was great & choices of alcohol packages was terrific. Because there wasn't another party after ours, we could stay up there as long as we wanted! There was a band playing downstairs, that was actually very good, so that just was a positive added to our night! All in all it was a fantastic night, thanks Field House Staff, much appreciated!!! You made a 30th birthday a special & fun night!!!!
Good portion sizes, live bands at times tons of TVs for the ball games, and very good service.
We stopped there for lunch after visiting the Philadelphia Flower show. Conveniently located in the convention center, it a big, spacious pub. We had no trouble getting a table. Plenty of beer selections. I had the roast pork with spinach and provolone. My companions enjoyed their burgers. Service was a little slow, but given the crowds, I'll give them a pass. I would go back again.
This place was great! Whole staff was super friendly and down to earth. Food had a little something for everyone... salad, burgers, wings and salmon. The Mediterranean app was def worth it too. I am from Cleveland and it was great to find a spacious and fast restaurant in the heart of Philly action... on a Saturday afternoon too!
Thanks Philadelphia for a fun week!
Lefty from The Land!
My husband and I recently hosted a "welcome drinks" event at the Field House the night before our wedding. Maura helped us with the different private event options, and she was great to work with and quick to respond. We ended up using the upstairs bar space, which worked out perfect for our group of about 30 people. They had a good beer selection, the bartender was great, it was a nice laid back vibe, and everyone enjoyed themselves. Would definitely recommend!
I'm here generally once a week during the fall-spring for Bocce and it's by far my favorite Bar that we go to throughout the year. The Beer selection is pretty fantastic for a "center city" location, and the food is excellent, if a little on the pricier side for my commuter sensibilities.
But, what I really appreciate about this place is the friendliness of the staff. They're prompt and always willing to help. This week, when I needed to store flowers to surprise someone, they even offered to hold them for me so that the surprise would work well.
Field House is a joy of an establishment. We attended a fundraiser which was well staffed and well appointed. The finger foods and beer/wine selection was amazing for a small fundraiser like ours. Even for a walk-in meal, Field House is a great option. Especially if you're hitting up the Reading Terminal Market just across the street. It's a wonderful way to plan a day out.
Good Food Great Atmosphere ... just an overall good spot to watch the game with your buds. Busy but not crowded on a typical Sunday night football timeframe. We were in a rush and our food came out fast and we still caught our train. Personal Pizza's are great size and the wings and fish tacos are highly recommended.
This is your average mega sports bar. Mediocre food, long beer list, a million tvs playing every game you can imagine. Weekend nights it gets packed and is quite loud. Great place to enjoy a game.
I love coming here for different events and a quick drink or bite to eat while in the city. They have tons of beers on tap, the staff is always friendly and there is tons of space so you don't feel crammed in. It's a great spot to go to while at the convention center or when you are done shopping across the street at Reading Terminal. Also it's great to take Septa in because the stations for the El and Regional Rail are right downstairs.
