My dad grew up down the street from this place and there with my grandparents and uncles. Now one of my best friends from high school is the new owner. From the “if it’s not broke…” school of thought, you get your diner basics done well, friendly service in a classic, unpretentious setting where it feels like everyone belongs.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said in these reviews? Here’s a hint: NOTHING. Believe the hype, Bob's Diner is the real deal. Just get there early if you want a parking spot out front lol. Street parking is available but I planned my arrival accordingly! Recommended 10/10!

Thoroughly enjoyed Bob's! Quintessential Diner atmosphere with exceptional service and good food. Enjoyed the Chipped Beef on a Grilled Soft Pretzel and a couple over medium eggs and home fries, great start of the day.

***Updated 7/25/2023*** Bob’s is a fantastic simple classic diner. The diner at this location has been serving the area for 75 years and I hope there are many more years to come. The food is great with everything from the Two Egg Eye Opener, Pancakes with Turkey Sausage and potatoes to something as simple as Oatmeal with Blueberries. The experienced staff is very friendly and once you become a regular they treat you like family. The diner is very kid friendly and comfortable but to truly experience a diner you need to sit at the counter with the regulars. Bob's is cash only (posted on the front door) but not to worry because their ATM has the lowest fee I've seen anywhere at $1.75. They serve Ellis Coffee which is roasted in Philadelphia and their decaf is so good that milk or cream isn't needed.

Old school diner. The service was friendly, everybody was cutting up and the smiles were genuine. The Western omelette was good on it's own. The sweet peppers are a nice change but more importantly, the eggs were some fluffy awesomeness. The Home fries were golden and well done. Nothing mushy and if you ask for onions, you're getting onions! Strong coffee too!

I don’t get here as often as I would like to but love it every time. Food is traditional Phila diner style. And the staff makes your feel like you are a regular. Highly recommend the thick cut pork roll.

It's what you'd expect from a typical diner but the service was good

Exactly what I want when I think "diner." Not at all fancy, just great food at reasonable prices with friendly and attentive staff. The staff are genuinely nice people, and I actually have to be careful not to drink too much coffee here because they top it off so often! The customers are great too, there seems to be a great community of regulars but even for me being an interloper from out of town who only comes here every few months, I still feel welcomed. I also like that the historic decor is unspoiled, it's like going back in time. I just love this place.

Amazing and classic diner. What you want - good food, great service. The waitresses are pros. The booths all have plastic dividers so in the time of COVID you can feel more protected since the place is small. It’s cash only so fyi but there is an atm. Also you have to pay for parking but street parking was easy to find and was cheap

AMAZING FOOD & EVEN BETTER STAFF!!! Drove 40 mins from Bristol to get here and it was WELL WORTH IT. Got the chipped beef with home fries and a side order of scrapple. BEST scrapple I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend this spot if you’re anywhere near the area.

Probably the greatest diner on the planet. So many good memories here. Sad to see some pretty stuffy reviews on here. Stuffy people don’t belong at Bob’s, so just go somewhere else you Panera eating, chain -restaurant-going normies. I want your seat. For everyone else…You want crispy potatoes? Ask, you get ‘em. You want extra, extra, extra crispy scrapple? You get it. You want over easy eggs? You get ‘em. You want more coffee? Look down, you just got filled up. You want a server that cares about you? Go here. You wanna talk to your neighbors? go ahead. Hungover and need a cure? This is it! Had a good date that stayed over? You will know if they are marriage material if they can hang at Bob’s. Yeah, it’s cozy and packed, because its GOOD! People go here to eat well! The staff and chef are wonderful people. Simply put, you get what you want. Nothing fancy…and it’s not supposed to be…but just damn good diner food. Bob’s Diner is the best diner ever. If you know, you know. I’m hungry now.

Kind of your run of the mill greasy spoon Diner in terms of atmosphere. The table and Booth were clean. I had the creamed chipped beef with a poached egg and toast. The service was quick and the food average to good. For the price, certainly acceptable quality and quantity.

Nice diner to get simple meals. Ordered 2x breakfast special (2 eggs, hash browns, toast, bacon) with coffee for ~$25. Service is fast and friendly.

A very lovely original diner. You have the feeling that you have been transported back into the 50s. The service ladies were friendly.
