Good value for the sushi, nigiri and sashimi lunch combo (available on Sunday!) Combo and a mango smoothie came to 25.05 (including tax and tip). Bamboo partitions and localized lighting lends a calming yet cool vibe with some illusion of privacy. Table for larger groups in the back. Good for eating alone, in pair or with a bunch of friends.
I thought the food was realllyyy great quality for the price. The service was also super quick. 100% feel like this will be my go-to for Japanese food in Philly
This place is excellent! Service was great and all the food came out fast. I had the short ribs udon soup. The beef broth is great the short ribs were pretty tender. I also got the 3 for $16.50 sushi. All the sushi was good and could've been a meal by itself. I finished off with a delicious strawberry smoothie!
The service and ambiance here was good but the rolls were mostly mid. The price point for what you’re getting is pretty fair so I can’t complain. I’d rather go to another sushi place next time though.
The food I order is kind of good, adding chilly oil and mixing will give you more flavor.
I always thought that is tiny place, since from outside it looks small. But, you can go with a big group of people. It can host large parties.
I went on a Friday night. This is the loudest drunkest Japanese restaurant I have ever experienced. It was funny until it became annoying. My soup came to the table immediately and then it took forever for my sushi to arrive. Food was good though.
Quiet and nice place atmosphere, great for a date night. Joe was a fantastic server!!! And the food came out very quickly. Definitely on the list to visit again :)
100% get the Jasmine milk tea
One of the best sushi spots in University City! We stopped in late one night not expecting much, and ordered seaweed salad, takoyaki, and a few rolls. Everything was divine! The takoyaki was hot out of the fryer, super crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside-- my favorite dish. The rolls were also fresh and had lots of flavor w/o soy sauce or wasabi. Service was nice and friendly. Would definitely come back again.
TLDR: great food and great prices, go and enjoy it all.
I didn’t have an unpleasant bite the entire meal. I started with the brisket soup. The broth was super flavorful and the meat was excellent. The vegetables were still crunchy which I love. They seem to tout their homemade noodles. They were fine, but having had other incredible homemade noodles I honestly wasn’t impressed, they are just decent noodles.
I did the 3 for $15 sushi roll deal and had spicy yellowtail and Alaska rolls. Boy was I impressed. The quality of the fish was top notch and the spicy yellowtail was VERY impressive.
I finished up with a taro bubble tea and wish I had gotten a large, it was so good and the tapioca balls were absolutely perfect.
Best sushi place in University City! My go to when taking new people out to dinner. I recommend the Kani salad! Their lunch and dinner combos are a steal for the quality!

I recently visited Ochatto and ordered a milk green tea, and I must say I was impressed! The drink was perfectly prepared with just the right amount of sweetness and creaminess. I also appreciated the attention to detail in the presentation of the drink. It came in a beautiful cup with a cute design on the foam.
The restaurant itself had a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with a nice mix of modern and traditional decor. The staff were friendly and attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal.
In addition to the milk green tea, I tried a few of their small plates and was equally impressed. The flavors were well-balanced and everything was cooked to perfection. It's clear that the chefs at Ochatto take pride in their craft and use high-quality ingredients.
Overall, I highly recommend Ochatto to anyone looking for a delicious meal and great service in Philadelphia. Their milk green tea alone is worth a visit!
Decent food with decent prices. I used snackpass and got a free Boba drink off of my first order. The rolls are 30% off... but honestly they should be regularly prices at 30% off haha. A bit underwhelming but still delivers. Quick pick up and friendly staff.
The staff is incredibly friendly and very helpful. However some dishes are not available. Their drinks are pre packed in everything plastic. They are so delicious tho. Just wished it was actually done at the place. Food is great. So much sea food. If you don't like fish/sea-food then you will dislike the dishes.
This place is honestly delicious I just got takeout two days in a row and at a great price too! The 3 sushi rolls deal is great. Udon noodles were great. Seems like they need to improve on dine-in service based on other reviews but the food is worth the visit! Takeout is easy too.
