Lunch @ Smiley's. What a GREAT surprise. Finding a GATOR in PHILLY. Food was excellent.
Great food for a good price. It's hard to find food that is both this good and this reasonably priced in Manayunk. I'll be back.
Cute little cafe. Great customer service I got the beef gyro it needed more tzatziki sauce. Having a sandwich Combo option that comes with a side would be a nice addition to the menu. :)
Ordered a huge amount of food for a birthday party. They got it together in 45 mins and it was all absolutely delicious, fresh, looked scrumptious. They even whipped up a batch of gluten free falafel for me, on the house. Highly recommended.
A hidden gem in Manayunk. Really good Mediterranean food.
I was able to try both the chicken and beef schwarma and each one was tender and well-seasoned. The tzatziki and garlic sauce were the perfect condiments to add extra flavor. The hummus and pita were fresh.
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the Tropical Craze smoothie. Definitely worth adding that on to your order.
The owner was extremely friendly and was working hard to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Smileys is a must stop!
Food was fresh, delicious, and fairly priced. Beware of the pickled jalapeños if you are sensitive to spicy food.
Both their beef gyro and falafel were the best I’ve ever had. Please keep in mind that I don’t even like meat and I’ve been struggling with anorexia for decades. So it’s very difficult for me to eat anything unless it’s super fresh and extraordinarily tasty. This place is a true gem and treasure.
Service was outstanding, The owner-host made us feel immediately welcomed and at ease. She let us customize our order and was very prompt with our food. She was very knowledgeable about the ingredients they use, as well.
The seating area is small, but that is to be expected in this area.
Overall, this was by far our favorite restaurant to visit in the Philly area.
I’ve lived in the area my entire life, and even though I’m not as frequent on Main Street as I used to be, Smiley’s is, and forever will be, a gem out of all the restaurants on the block!
My family and I were thinking of this place recently and decided to pick up lunch, and the beef gyro platter and chocolate bliss smoothie were exactly as I remembered it 7 years ago when we first stopped by at their old location; flavorful, filling, and fresh (same with the beef gyro sandwich, but that’ll be for next time)! Both owners are lovely and always so kind, and asked my family how they were when picking up our order.
Smiley’s holds a special place in my heart and next time in the area again, they’ll be seeing more of me soon.
Amazing customer service and very friendly ppl! I ordered the beef gyro platter that came with a salad, and hummus. I also had a side of falafel with the Orange Passion smoothie.
The gyro was flavorful and came in a thin and crispy pita. It was very flavorful yet it wasn’t heavy on me. The falafel came with a salad and was also flavorful. The smoothie wasn’t overwhelming sweet and tasty. Everything was fresh and you can tell it was homemade.
I can’t wait to come back!
Easily the best Greek/Mediterranean food in the greater Philadelphia area. We were blown away by how good everything was! My fiance Bryan has never liked falafel and Smiley’s made him a believer. The spices were incredible and it was unbelievably moist/fresh. Other menu highlights were the chicken shawarma, the gyro meat platter and the grape leaves. The owners are incredibly gracious and friendly and the service was impeccable. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area!
It's very small, but at the same time very cozy. The food was excellent, and the service was great as well. Price was right, the gyro and chocolate shake I was was excellent!
This is a must-go in Manayunk. I was initially intimidated by the outside (it looks a little run-down). The food is excellent and affordable. The service cannot be beat. There is a small amount of seating inside but most people get takeout so there is usually space for small groups. Beware that the lemonade is more of a slushy (still delicious).
Was looking at homes in Manayunk and needed a quick bite to eat with my parents. Kitchen confirmed their chicken and beef are halal, which is good because a halal option is definitely needed in Manayunk! Hope at least one more comes around.
Portions are generous, shawarma was decent, could be slightly more seasoned. Cashier and kitchen staff were very kind. Inside is more of a casual eat layout and a little small, but cute and cozy. Will definitely be back to try again!
Great little Mediterranean restaurant. Their Gyro platters are great, the pita is always nicely toasted and nice fresh tomatoes. Smoothies and lemonade are super as well.

After eating here and loving it the first time, we decided to have Smiley's cater a dinner party for us. Everyone LOVED the food and the prices are so reasonable! Every time we eat here, the food is fresh and super flavorful-- and you can really taste the love that goes into it! The owners are incredibly friendly, and they're also accommodating (they are very knowledgeable on vegan and gluten free diets!). Give them a visit and you'll know instantly why they named the place Smiley's :)
They live up to their name! When I walked in I smiled and said hello and was greeted with the warmest, “thank you for smiling at smileys!” They also gave us an extra smoothie for free. Could not have better or nicer service. Such a local gem. And obviously like the other reviews, the food is great too!

Super friendly staff/owners! They were so kind and our food was delicious. They gave us free smoothie samples and falafel samples. Best falafel I have ever had!
The actual restaurant is quite small, however the service is wonderful. Staff is very friendly and orders are made relatively quickly. I ordered the chicken shawarma platter which was lacking flavor but overall not too bad. The rice was very salty though. I also got an orange passion smoothie which was delicious. It's a little pricey but the portions will fill you up. The hummus and salad were not the best but pretty good.
The food was fantastic - some of the best falafel I’ve ever had. What really shines is the genuine warmth shown by the owners. Completely unprompted, they just gave us bottles of water so we had something to drink with our meal, then treated us to a (delicious) smoothie sample. They make you feel so at home and so comfortable here. I will DEFINITELY be back.
